I can't access my gmail account with my Samsung Stratosphere

My gmail account won't log me onto my Samsung Srtatosphere. Keeps saying invalid password. I even changed my password and it works on my PC but not my phone. I even did a factory reset with tech support. Has this happened to anyone and how do I fix this without creating another gmail account..

They will block checking if you check too often from a variety of IP's. So jumping from Cell, to Wifi, to Cell, to another Wifi, etc a lot they will block remote checking and only allow web checking until unlocked.
Can also happen if you have a computer setup to check at a high interval.

I would run the combo update to get to 10.6.8 in order to get the latest security updates and so forth. Then run Software Update until you system is current.

How Can I Use a Gmail Account with Multiple Email Addresses in iPhone Mail?

So I have a Gmail account with 4 POP accounts that it checks... Is there a way to get "Reply From" from multiple addresses?

I've been playing with a Galaxy here at work and here's what I've found so far - please feel free to jump in and suggest alternative methods to configure or access the various icloud components.

Not entirely: the website can't be used from an android browser (not properly - even with Dolphin HD and posing as different browsers it won't load correctly. So Find my iphone is out, so is the address book or looking at your e-mail or calendar just in a browser window

Be sure to setup the account manually - and note if you have trouble using SSL try TLS (that worked for me)
Address book is a no go so you'll have to use iTunes to sync all your contacts over to Gmail - if you still have an iPad it means managing contacts in two places though . iWork is an Apple proprietary bit so don't expect much there.
So in my case, if I'm really going to make the switch to a Galaxy from my iPhone it really means I'm going to have to switch to using google as the backend. The timing to swap over to a galaxy/android phone is not the greatest - given that I'd have to give up my Apple addiction (syncing photos and itunes and losing access to my device tracking). Plus I still have an iPad and a mac and like living in the Apple ecosystem. I think I'll wait and see what the new iPhone looks like before I commit

I read the previous post about the yahoo email account and I was wondering if the same applies for a Gmail account. It is a free account, and I think that set up all of the information right, however I still cannot complete the setup. Maybe i am setting up the POP information wrong, but I'm not sure.

I see you are using LastPass. Could that add-on be interfering with your login?? You could try disabling it temporarily under Tools > Add-ons to test that theory.

Anyone know why Mail will suddenly lose access to Gmail accounts?

My four Gmail accounts cannot go online in Mail, starting yesterday. I can still access my Gmail accounts on my iPhone and via the web interface using Safari on the same MacBook Pro (late 2008 15", running OS X 10.8.1). In Mail Preferences, my accounts don't seem to be holding the passwords. My iCloud account works fine in Mail. Has there been a known change with this setup? If this is a known issue, does anyone know the resolution? I didn't see any related issues in the forums.

I'll answer my own question. I scanned a bit farther with more filtering and found a post noting that Mtn Lion may have an issue with various ways one has logged into one's Gmail accounts with there being a Mail Preferences, a the System Preferences "Mail, Contacts & Calendars" settings and possibly iChat. Simple solution was to quit Mail and relaunch. Everything is copacetic again. I didn't have to re-enter passwords in System Preferences "Mail, Contacts & Calendars" settings. The resolving post was by Ralph Johns. Thanks!
