I can't access my iCloud account. The username is an email address that's now inactive. I can't reset my password.

I need help accessing my iCloud account. The username on file for that account is an old e-mail address of mine that is no longer active. Therefore, I can't even reset my password (because the "password reset" email would go to that old address). Can someone please help me? Thank you!

When do you get prompted for this ID? If you are asked for an AppleID
you do not know during Activation, contact the seller for assistance. Only

This post was about having updated the primary email address on an iTunes account via a computer - if you do that you might need to log out of the account on an iPad by tapping on the id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and then log back in with the updated version of the account for that email address change to be recognised on your iPad. If you don't log out and back in then an iPad (or iPhone or iPod Touch) might continue to show the old version of the iTunes account id.

In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")

IPhone iCloud account using apple id as email address

I have an iCloud account which uses [email protected] as the apple id. My iCloud email is [email protected] The phone insists using [email protected] as my email address and it seems this cannot be changed. I can receive email correctly but cannot send.
Any suggestions?

maybe i was not clear at all ...
anyway, i entered the both in my contact (at my name record) but it doesnt work the same.
on my Macs the email is configured correctly. and i can send out emails as [email protected] sender.
from the iPhone, automatically configured by the iCloud activation, it tries to send the email as [email protected] sender.
and, obviously, it doesnt work.
i tried to send an email to myself at the address [email protected] and i cant receive it; a deamon-failure notice is sent back to the sender.
so, the iPhone correctly receives emails on [email protected] ...
i hope it is clear.

Changing the Username for an email address

My employer recently moved over to exchange. The server wants the username for the login to look like this:
<domain>\<username>
While when entering the email address into the blackberry it automatically makes the username just the first part of:
<username>@<domain>
When looking at the email settings on the device, there doesn't appear to be any way to change the username so it ends up in the desired format.
Is there a way to make this change or am I just out of luck? Thanks!

The rate is not a parameter for the Realizing phase.
The realizing phase is necessary to define the kind and the property of the outgoing stream.
I.e. the audio or the video format of the single track of the stream.
think at the pitch like a gain (volume). U can increase the volume also after the realizing phase.
YES you can modify the pitch (rate) in any moment before or after have realized the processor / player. Probably i bad wrote but ... to start a proc/player you have always to relize them. the rate modification is independent from the realizing.

Multiple AppleIDs with linked emails unable to be switched...can I unverify an email address that I already verified?

There is a major flaw in the design and use of AppleIDs and their use across the entire Apple product line. It could be fixed easily if I could "unverify" an email address that I used for a certain appleID. After over an hour talking with phone tech support they had no clue what to do so I proposed a temporary solution and gave up.
The problem is I had an apple id that I used for iTunes, and I had my main email address which was from MobileMe which got switched over to iCloud. My iTunes appleID is of the form that is just a word and not an email address. Because of this I was unable to use it for iCloud. The email address associated with the iTunes account appleID was my main email address which happened to be my MobileMe email address. Apparently once an email address has been verified with an account there is no way to unverify that email address. I already realized that I would have to have 2 appleIDs , one for iTunes and one for mobile me and I was ok with that. The problem was that the MobileMe email address would not let me set it as my email address because it had already been verified with my iTunes appleID. This left my MobileMe/icloud email address even though it IS an email address in and of itself, without an associated email address. I am unable to associate the email address that I want with that appleID. My solution was to create yet another email account and just use that but now that is causing problems with apps like "iMessage" , "Find my Friends" , and "FaceTime." I want my correct email address (MobileMe/icloud address) to be used to identify me me with my friends and relatives act. not the email address that I was forced to create as a temporary solution. If there was just a way to "Unverify" an email address or merge accounts this would not be a major issue. As it stands though this is a very confusing and incredibly annoying problem that Phone TechSupport had no clue whatsoever as to what could be done. Does anyone know a fix or if there is some way to Unverify an email address that you used (the lady on techsupport said they couldn't).

I've also had this issue and it beggars belief that they could have something so stupid as a policy.
I have no less than 8 Apple devices that I use actively not to mention the family who have more.
I have an Itunes account and have bought a load of music and movies etc.
I also (foolishly) took a MobileMe subscription and hardly used it.
Now, when I try to register for Facetime I can't register the one and only email address that I use.
Apple support says even though they have been using that for purchases on Itunes, App Store, MobileMe, etc etc, I cannot use it for Facetime! And Facetime requires the address so people who know me and know my one and only email address can call me on Facetime.
No, instead, I must use another new email address!!
How totally stupid.
Support are really unhelpful on this issue as well. They keep talking about multiple accounts and the address being used on these accounts. These accounts are Itunes, MobileMe. And who do they belong to?? One person, ME!!!

It is almost like they don't want any existing clients on Itunes and MobileMe to use Facebook.

Can't update apps that were set up under a different email address that was closed some time ago.

The specific APPS at this time are Pages, Keynote and numbers but I would be suprised if others will have this problem in the future. And I can't update them on the new Apple ID. And when I supidly did the forgot my password thing with the old system they probally sent the message to an email address that no longer exists. If anyone could help it would be appsheated.

Content is forever tied to the Apple ID that bought it. Apple does not transfer content from one Apple ID to another. Apple does not merge Apple IDs. You will never be able to access your content bought with another Apple ID with a new Apple ID.

I have iCloud turned on, location services on, find my phone works but when I try to access iCloud via Safari on the phone it takes me to a page Apple.com,
iCloud then three options
set up iCloud on my phone (i have)
Install Find my phone, it is installed and it works from my MBP
or install find my friends, I don't need that I have no friends.
my calendars and contacts and bookmarks and all are all sync'd and working on the phone, but i thought if I typed in iCloud.com on the phone in Safari I would go to my iCloud web page that looks like this on my Mac.
Is that NOT how iCloud should/would look on my phone via Safari?

I've been playing with a Galaxy here at work and here's what I've found so far - please feel free to jump in and suggest alternative methods to configure or access the various icloud components.
So the original Q: Can you access your icloud account on Android?
Not entirely: the website can't be used from an android browser (not properly - even with Dolphin HD and posing as different browsers it won't load correctly. So Find my iphone is out, so is the address book or looking at your e-mail or calendar just in a browser window
I was able to setup my e-mail using the IMAP settings published here:

Be sure to setup the account manually - and note if you have trouble using SSL try TLS (that worked for me)
Address book is a no go so you'll have to use iTunes to sync all your contacts over to Gmail - if you still have an iPad it means managing contacts in two places though . iWork is an Apple proprietary bit so don't expect much there.
So in my case, if I'm really going to make the switch to a Galaxy from my iPhone it really means I'm going to have to switch to using google as the backend. The timing to swap over to a galaxy/android phone is not the greatest - given that I'd have to give up my Apple addiction (syncing photos and itunes and losing access to my device tracking). Plus I still have an iPad and a mac and like living in the Apple ecosystem. I think I'll wait and see what the new iPhone looks like before I commit
