I can't access my ipad password incorrect

Help!  Everytime I open my ipad, a message comes up that says: Password Incorrect.  Enter the password for the Hotmail account "Hotmail".  I've tried my hotmail password - no luck.  I've tried old passwords, new passwords, passwords for my itunes, passwords for my ipad...  no luck.  I can't access anything on my ipad until I enter the correct password.  HELP!!!

Something sounds very wrong... I'd recommend restoring the device if you can't access ANYTHING at all. Or try and make a booking for an Apple Retail Store if there's one near you.
Restoring obviously isn't a prime option, but if you can't access anything, it may be the only one really, if you can access the settings you can delete and re-add the account, which would fix that 'Enter Password' message

If it's reached the point where you can't try re-entering the code then you will need to connect the iPad to the computer that you normally sync to and you should then be able to reset the iPad and re-sync your content to it - from http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212
If you repeatedly enter the wrong passcode, your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch will be disabled for longer intervals before you can try again. After too many unsuccessful attempts, you won't be able to try again until you connect it to the computer with which you last synced it.
You may need to put the iPad into recovery mode : http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

  • Can't access my ipad

    Can someone please help?
I can't access my ipad, every time i switch on the ipad i get the message "Not enough storage - This ipad cannot be backed up because there is not enough iCloud storage available. You can manage your storage in Settings" but everytime i press settings it doesn't do anything.
I've tried to shut down the ipad by pressing and holding the sleep/wake buttom until the red "power off" slider a appears but when i try to slide it, it doesn't work.
    Please help!

Try a soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • Can't access my ipad, comes up with the following message on screen "Ipad not backed up. this ipad hasn't been backed up. Backups happen when this ipad is plugged in, locked and connected to wifi".

Try a Reset  ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least Ten seconds... (But can take Longer)... until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons

Yes you did. Everything you need to know is in the link I posted.
DId you read the whole article?
    It answers your question.
If you have never synced your device with iTunes, or you do not have access to a computer
If you see one of following alerts, you need to erase the device:
"iTunes could not connect to the [device] because it is locked with a passcode. You must enter your passcode on the [device] before it can be used with iTunes."
"You haven't chosen to have [device] trust this computer"
If you have Find My iPhone enabled, you can use Remote Wipe to erase the contents of your device. If you have been using iCloud to back up, you may be able to restore the most recent backup to reset the passcode after the device has been erased.
Alternatively, place the device in recovery mode and restore it to erase the device:
Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to shut down.
While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
Continue holding the Home button until you see the Connect to iTunes screen.
iTunes will alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then restore the device.

  • How can i reset my IPad password if i am locked out

My Ipad is disbled and i dont have the computer that i last synced it on how can i restore my IPad or change the password so i can get into it?

Old thread, I know, but since it's one of the higher google hits for this issue:
    1. Connect the iPad to your computer. Dismiss the message that it's passcoded and can't connect.
    2. Hold down the Home button and the Lock button until it restarts and then presents you with the "Connect to iTunes" graphic.
    3. iTunes should then prompt you that it has detected an iPad in recovery mode and let you restore it.

  • Plugged in new Iphone 5 to computer and it says can't access due to password, but don't have a password set yet

I just got my new Iphone 5s activated at verizon. I came home to plug into my computer to get all my apps, etc that I had backed up from old phone. Computer keeps saying it can't access the new phone due to a password and that I need to enter password and try again. However, I don't have a password set on the new phone. Any help would be appreicated....I don't want to loose all my back up.

What is the EXACT message you're getting?
