I can't access photos on my iPhone that i want to delete

I have an iphone5 that when synced through iTunes tells me there are 84 photos on the phone.  But, I can't see these on the phone camera roll or through either iTunes or iPhoto.  Can  anyone tell me how to get access to them so I can delete them?

Silly question but have you tried restarting your phone? Hold down the sleep/wake button and home button at the same time until you see the Apple logo and then release.

You can uncheck multiple songs by selecting all the songs you want to uncheck, then right-click and choose "uncheck selection".  Also, make sure that you have checked "Sync only checked songs and videos" on the Summary tab of your iTunes sync settings or the sync process will ignore your selections.
You can remove all the photos from your camera roll using Preview on your Mac.  Connect your phone to your Mac, open Preview, go to File>Import from iPhone.  When your photos appear in Preview, select the photos you want to delete, then click on the icon at the bottom showing the red circle with the diagonal line through it (see image below), then click Delete.
To remove photos from the Photo Stream album on your phone you'll have to either reset Photo Stream (deleting all the photos from iCloud) or turn off Photo Stream on your phone.

  • HT4623 recently installed apps can't access photos on my iPhone

    Operating Details:
    Device: iPhone 5
    Carrier: Verizon
    iOS: 6.1.3
Goal: I'd like to update my profile picture on one of my Twitter accounts using an image stored on my iPhone in my Photos.
Issue: When I try to edit a profile picture in any of the apps I recently installed (within the last 5 days) I receive error message.
Message: This app does not have acces to your photos or videos. You can enable access in Privacy Settings.
Action: When I go to Settings > Privacy > I only see the Factory Apps (Twitter and Facebook).
Issue: I don't see the other apps I've installed; Linked In, Pinterest, for example. And the options for Twitter and Facebook only show the other apps that have asked permission to interact with it.
Action: When I go to Settings > Photos & Cameras
Issue: I don't see any apps, only options to edit my experience when viewing photos.
Action: When I go to Settings > scroll down
Issue: I see all of the apps I have installed but if I click on them, I am not given options to edit the privacy settings for them.
Question: How do I edit the settings so that the apps I have installed can interact with the photos stored on my phone?

Many thanks for alll of this.  I had the same problem and you showed me how to solve it.  I assumed that when I went to Settings, General, Restrictions which in my case were set to Off that I would be ok.  Not so when I returned the Restrictions to On and went through each one there was the app which I wanted to have access and I just turned it on.  Evertything no OK so thanks for the help.

  • I have apps on my iPhone that I want to delete but do not want them deleted from my iPad.  How do I know which ones are iPhone specific?

In order to save using data when traveling I want to delete apps from my iPhone that I don't need.  However I do want these apps on my iPad and with the new IOS8.0.2 and Yosemite I think they are all now integrated so that if I delete from one device it is deleted from all and if I add to one device it is added to all.  Is this correct?
    1.  How can I tell which apps are specific to iPhone and which are specific to iPad?
    2.  How can I tell how much data is being used per app?
    3.  How can I tell if an app is running in the background?
    4.  When I turn off cellular data does that limit the app from functioning always or just restrict it to wi-fi?
    5.  Do I benefit from having Bluetooth on if I don't use a head phone or other device?
    6.  Is a Personal Hotspot more secure than using paid hotel wi-fi?

Deleting on one device does not affect another device.
You can delete the App's on the iPhone and nothing will happen to the ones on the iPad.
    1.  You don't need to.
    2.  Settings->Cellular->"Use Cellular Data For" will show the data usage for each App since the last statistics reset
    3.  Settings->General->Background App Refresh Will show which Apps are allowed to get data in the background
    4.  It restricts it to Wifi.  If the App requires internet access and Data is turned off, it will have to wait until the device is connected to a wifi network.
    5.  Nope, You just use up battery since the BT radio will continuously look for nearby BT devices.
    6.  The Personal Hotspot uses your cellular internet connection from your phone or other cellular device; whether you consider that secure or not I cannot say.  It also depends on what you are doing while connected to the Hotel's wifi. I would not do online banking while on vacation though.

  • How can I access photos on my iphone through icloud using another device

I'm trying to get acess to the photos taken from my ipad, I turned on icloud photo stream on my devices, where can I find those photos using my mac?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Turn on Photostream in your system preferences > iCloud settings.
Assuming iPhoto is up to date, turn on photostream in iPhoto preferences.
Photos in photostream should start to sync with your Mac.

  • How do i delete photos on my iphone that were previously deleted from itunes? cannot remove photos from iphone album.  trash can is greyed out.

how do i delete photos on my iphone that have already been deleted from my windows laptop? The photos cannot be selected and removed from the iphone album.  trash can is greyed out.

You should be able to delete the photos by syncing with iTunes. Either remove the checkmark beside "Sync Photos From" on the photos page of iTunes or change the selection of photos to be synced. Each time you sync it is supposed to set the non-Camera Roll photos on the phone to match the current settings/selection in iTunes.

  • HT6154 How do I delete photos on my iPhone that were not taken on my phone, but somehow got synced with my computer?

I have many photos on my phone that I want to delete. They were taken with a camera and imported to my MacBookPro. When I synced my iphone, the photos got added to my phone. I cannot delete them. How do I get rid of them?

You delete them by syncing again using iTunes. If you want to delete all previously synced photos, remove the checkmark in front of "Sync Photos From" on the photos page of iTunes (after you have connected the phone and before you sync). If you just want to remove some of the photos, change the selection of photos to be synced in that same page on iTunes. Each time you sync via iTunes, the non-Camera Roll photos on the phone are set to match the current iTunes settings.

  • How can I access photos and videos saved to the iCloud?

How can I access photos and videos saved to the iCloud? I backed up my iphone to the Cloud but now the files are nowhere to be found.
I had to reset all content and settings in order to troubleshoot an issue. Before I did this, I backed up the iphone to icloud. When I reprogrammed the phone, I had to set it up as a new device and individually sync apps and other items from itunes. But by doing this, I somehow lost some videos and can't seem to find where they would have been saved/backed up. Can anyone offer any guidance?

You can't view photos and videos on icloud (except for shared photo stream pics).  iCloud merely sync photos between devices using the stream.  If you don't have photo stream turned on, then the only place photos in the camera roll are located are in a backup.  You would have to restore from the backup.  But be warned that many users have ended up losing their photos when performing a restore, for whatever reason.
What you should do in the future is always sync photos/videos to a computer for storage, don't leave them on a device or trust icloud to somehow store them.

  • Security photo - does not show any apps that have requested access. I can not access photos via apps. How to fix it?

    Apps can not access photos.
Apps never asked if they could access photos.
Security>Photos  - there are no apps on the list.
    I have restarted.
    Backed up, restored.
    No improvement.
    Thanks.
ps my iphone allows access, so I know 'how' to do it usually.

    Found the answer:
Go to settings/general/restrictions/photos and allow the apps to have access to photos
