I can't access the multitask bar on my iPad 2

Every time I try to access the multitask bar, weather by gestures or double pressing the home button my iPad reboot itself,  my iPad is on 5.1 the last update it use to work fine but all of the sudden it star with this problem! Some body please help

Have you tried a reset to see if that fixes it ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

This is highly suspicious, as there is no Flash Player for iOS. That seems like a message from a scam site, but it shouldn't be a scam if you're using the official YouTube app.
First, make sure that you have the official YouTube app, and not an imitator. If you do, try deleting the app, then re-download it.
If that doesn't help, that suggests that your network, or the DNS server your iPad is using, has been compromised. Can you try other iOS devices on the same network, to see if they exhibit the same problem? (Comparing to a laptop accessing the YouTube site isn't meaningful, because I don't know if the YouTube app accesses the same site or uses a special site designed specifically for that app.) Also, check to see if your iPad behaves the same way on another unrelated network, such as a free wifi network at a public library, coffee house or whatnot.

  • How can I access the iCloud email on used iPad 2

I purchased two iPad 2's that were sold to a salvage company by an insurance company.  One works fine, the other says it is registered to someones iCloud account.  I understand that there is not a way to restore or bypass this.  Apple says you have to contact the person, however it masks the email address.  Is there any way to access that full email so I can reach out to the original purchaser?  If not, is my only option to just throw away a perfectly good iPad?

Mail syncing IS enabled at settings >iCloud. But I don't see my me.com account in the list of accounts under Account >Mail, contacts, calendar>settings.
There is a item named iCloud (that includes email, contacts, calendar and others), but there is still nothing that appears in my mail account...

  • How can I access the iMessages history on my ipad, either using my ipad itself or via itunes or windows explorer to view the files on my desktop PC?

I have a long stream of iMessages on my iPad from messaging friends, and I can view messages by scrolling to the top of the screen and clicking 'Load Earlier Messages' and it loads about 20 or so previous messages. But where are these messages being stored and how can I view them? I occassionally need to access messages from a while back but I don't want to keep scrolling up and loading from my current point one click at a time. How can I view these iPad files?
    Thanks a lot

The only way to do it is the way you are doing it now. You can take screen shots of them as you are viewing them and edit those together to keep on your PC if you want to do it that way.

  • I can not access the internet despite resseting my ipad/ the wifi cionnection works fine

despite updating my ipad, resetting the network, checking the wifi connection, I can not connect to the internet. As soon as I try to connect to internet, for half second I can see the ipad try to connect then I get the message that I can not connect.
could this be a hardware fault?

This is a shot in the dark but a System Reset has been known to solve many problems.  Besides, it's easy and harmless:
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home  button simultaneously  until you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if  it appears.
A System Reset does not remove any apps, music, movies, etc. nor does it cause any settings to revert back to default.
Also,   you might wish to download the iPad-2 User Guide.  Pay special   attention to page 162.  Note that this Guide also applies to the iPad-1   with IOS 4.3 except for those functions that are not supported by the   hardware.
    http://support.apple.com/manuals/#ipad
Finally,  the  User Guide can be downloaded at no charge via iBooks and a less   comprehensive version of the Guide is included as a Safari bookmark.

Good point BDAqua, the Escape key helps get me back to reality in Lion.
While I've only dabbled around a little in Lion since it's release (I upgraded a 10.6 Clone to Lion on one of my FireWire Drives) now I'm currently downloading Mountain Lion (to upgrade a Clone of that Lion Clone) so that now I can continue to move forward in madness.
P.S. Trust me, I'm not laughing.

Dear apple, I am really dissapointed with you. Around January 2013, my iPhone 4s 16GB White has hardware issues, which was the Wi-Fi grey out. The wifi grey out means that I can't access the wifi on/off button, and also it has no connection. I have put up with it for months, until june 7 when I decided it has been long enough, and I got a replacement. I told the genius bar what happened, and I already did the so called "steps" that apple reccommended on the site, which was reset network settings, restore iPhone. The genius bar gave me a replacement phone, so I was expecting that the problem would be over, but it isn't. It seems that it's iOS 6.1.3 which is the case of most public complaints on apple iPhone products. Not even 3 weeks after I got the phone replaced, it is doing it again, so I suspect I'm just going to get a replacement again? Unfortunately I only have until 5th of july 2013 until my 1 year warranty is up. After that, any issue I have, I have to purchase apple care. People are expecting this problem to be fixed but I don't see it being solved any time soon. This is horrible and really low, because I have been a good customer, when I talk to the people at the genius bar, I show the utmost respect I can to them for the work they put into their job, but somewhere there is a problem where something has gone wrong. Because of that, people that only have a one year warranty (which i received because I purchased my apple iPhone at an Optus outlet, once that one year warranty is up, I have to pay for a problem that isn't even my fault? That isn't how it should work, you should be fixing this problem so people can be happy customers and leave happy. Obviously you don't all know how to do your jobs, because if you did, we wouldn't have this problem. I would like a replacement phone, ONCE AGAIN. If this problem occurs again, I will simply stop buying your products, and lose faith in your company, your's sincerely, Jack Maher.

This is a user to user help forum only. You are not addressing Apple here.
My iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, and iPad 2 are running 6.1.3 with no such problem and the same with the overwhelming majority of iOS devices running 6.1.3.

  • What is the point of the multitasking bar?

So, I get that for Pandora, Skype, etc. that multitasking is great. I just opened up my multitasking bar though, and found the following "open" items: Messages, Mail, Calendar, Camera, Settings, Map, Weather, Calculator, YouTube, Compass, IMDb, Facebook, Twitter, Shazam, and four games.
Why in the world would I care about saving my session for any of these? Especially when they all go back to the same screen as I was at last time anyway. Now I have to go through and "close" all of them?
I feel like I'm missing something. Can anyone shed some light for me?

The purpose of the multitasking bar is to keep your apps running in the background with seven key features. Amongst those features are:
    * Fast App Switching - Pauses games and apps until you swap back or press the icon in your home screen to resume it.
    * Background Running and Location Services - GPS, music and social apps still run and announce directions for you while you are navigating other screens. But utilize FAS to lower power costs.
    * File Transfers and Task Completions - You're uploading a 50KB photo to your Facebook page and want to go elsewhere while it's going on. It'll freeze the app in the meantime but continue the file transfer until it's done then lock it down.
You don't have to re-open multitasker to reactivate the app. You can open the file from the home screen and it pops back up.
The ideal for the multitasker also if you wish to increase battery life and performance is you can close them at will including reactivate the apps there. However if you close them, you have to start from the beginning of the application. Making it take longer to resume your sessions.
