I can't activate a former employee's ipad

Hi,
I have an Ipad that a former employee gave us back after he left the company with some stealing problems. He did not left the passcode so I used the Recovery Mode with Itunes and restore the whole Ipad. Now when it starts the configuration dialog and after configuring the wi fi access it says that is associated with an apple id account which of course I don´t have it. What can I do ?

Please try installing on a different Admin user account and check if that makes a difference.

As long as you're logged into the same AppleID on both devices, this is not a problem. It's only a problem if you're logged into a different AppleID and then try to associate FaceTime with an email that tied to the other AppleID.

How can I create editable forms on an iPad?

I would like to be able to have a form on my iPad (do not care what format it is in) that I can fill in fields and then print out or email. I do not need to save the data entered into the data fields on the form.

Tab? Not really a function native to iOS except maybe in some browsers using a web form. Its possible you might find an app supporting that, but i have my doubts. As for completing a form, there are several apps available that support that at a variety of price points, but you may have difficulty finding one that will write protect the file from anyone with a full version of Acrobat. Not impossible, but obviously a search through the app store and some close reading of descriptions and reviews is in your future.

I can not activate imessage on my new ipad 32 gb wifi

I have not been able to activate imessage on my new ipad. It's only wifi. imessage is working fine on my iphone 4s. I have tried turning it off and on but nothing, it also will not activate facetime. The wifi at my house is running fine. I can use the new ipad to browse the web so it has no problem with the wifi.

I also am having same issue with new Ipad got today! Everything else works just fine! I also have just Wifi I assume it will take some days to figure this problem out? Hope not??

I bought a mini iPad for my wife, she was trying to activate it without apple id. She used a gmail address for id while her id is hotmail. I tried several
times to reset her password and connect the device with iTunes by pressing the home button. The iPad has locked into the first supposed id gmail.

If she activated the iPad with her gmail then you will have to use that account to unlock the device.
If she has forgotten the password to that ID she can submit this form to Apple to have the password reset:
https://iforgot.apple.com/appleid

There is a new AppleCare for iPad out and I have the older one (mc595ll/b), but I guess there is a new one. Do I HAVE to get the new one for my new iPad. Or can I use the one I have and activate it?

I'd call apple care and ask them. I remember when i bought my Apple Care I had to activate it within a certain time period after purchase.
I'd contact apple care and ask them directly since they are the only ones that can give you an answer

Can I use PDF forms on an iPAD?

I have completed a multi page interactive PDF file. It is a survey and works fine off a laptop or desktop.
My client has expressed an interest in having this work on an iPAD. The idea is use the iPAD for its convenience and then send the completed form via email back to the home office.
Presently my file does not reveal the fields so I am thinking I need to do something more. I've got an iPAD but with less than a week experience. I am speculating that it is the nature of the platform and probably the only way to make this work is to have the form on a server and use safari to be the depository.
The business problem is a chronic web connection to work this way is not an assumption.

You and your clients can try an iPad app under the title PDF Expert. Above all available features, I usually use this application to fill out PDF forms. PDF Expert even works with those forms that have built-in calculations. What is mostly important for me as a lawyer - sign up feature, that allows me affirm contracts, agreements, etc with the own signature right on the iPad and email back the documents to the office or clients.

Hi I got stolen my ipad and I would like to lock it down or locate it. I didn't see any utility at first to use icloud so didn't activate it at first. Can I do something if I got the serial number?

You can report it to the police and give them the serial number. Apple does not track stolen devices. If you did not have iCloud, Find My iPad enable, you cannot turn it on now.
You should consider changing any passwords, contact your bank or credit card company - whoever you need to contact - since much of your personal and/or banking information is probably on the iPad.

I have a new iPad and can not get FaceTime to verify. The AppleID is verified. Internet connection is good. My son uses his iPod to FaceTime on the same router.

How can I activate streetview on Googlemaps in ipad mini?

When I open Googlemaps in my ipad mini I don't find the pegman which would allow me to pass to streetview. I bought the Maps+Streetview app, which is absolutely useless. What is the solution?

To get to street view in Google Maps, you need to either tap on a point of interest or enter an address, once the address is found you can tap on the marker to bring up the option, or just drag the bottom option bar up to reveal the street view button.

Can't activate iCloud for iWorks on iPad 1

I've trouble to get the usage of iCloud activated within the iWorks Suite on my iPad 1. In comparison to other devices (e.g. the iPad of a coworker) I'm missing the Documents & Data section within the iCloud settings on the iPad. Settings of Keynote, Pages and Numbers allow indiviual activation to use iCloud.
Activating it doesn't change it at all. Checking icloud.com I'll always see the suggestion to get Keynote et al for my iOS device. On all my macs (iMac and MacBook Pro I've activated iCloud and Documents and Data settings).
I've tried so far: delete the iCloud settings and recreate them with or without restart of the iPad; Restore iPad with latest backup using iTunes.
Maybe it's a problem with old resources from the beta phase?

Do you use your iPad with enterprise email? I have seen an alert today from our corporate IT department that states the following:
"As you may have heard, Apple has announced a series of enhancements related to the iPhone, iPad, and other Apple devices. Among the highlights were the announcement of a new operating system, iOS 5, which will come with an integrated cloud-based storage and backup service known as iCloud.
To be able to support iOS 5, [ ] has sent a mandatory update to all firm-supported Apple devices. This update disables the data and documents option within the iCloud backup features."
So, that perhaps explains it!
Right now I only have my work iPad set up for iCloud. My next step is to set up my other iPad...will see if that enables iCloud/iWork to validate my iwork purchases
