I can't activate my imessage after I restored my iPhone 3gs

So I forgot my password and after trying to back up my phone I gave up and just restored it from the beginning. I am so annoyed all I want to do is iMessage someone to tell them this had happened and everything's I put my passwords in for apple I'd it goes sorry cannot connect to server or something like that I heard the iMessage is down :( but how long and is there anyway to get lost pictures back I am very annoyed ???!!??!

They are saying within the next 24 hours.
Were you using Photo Stream? Were those pictures on your computer? If no to each they are probably gone.

I got like the same problem, last days I get message to restore my iPhone, so I did it yesterday and it work very well. In the afternoon I saw that at top in the left corner show invaild sim card or so (only knew the german version). so I restore it again but now it won`t activate after I enter SIM-PIN and it accept it, it shows "No Service".
Anybody can help? My Carrier is o2 Germany.

If you synch your phone to your computer via itunes,it performs a backup prior to synching. You can check by luanching itunes select preferences>devices,all backups should be shown there. If in fact there is a backup of your phone listed then do a restore of that back up.

I had the same issue with one of the three iPhones I updated on Wednesday. There are many processes that are working for people including:
- Resetting the device several times
- Toggling the "Dont' Allow Changes" setting under "Restrictions --> Location Services"
- Disabling Restrictions altogether.
- Restoring from backup
I was able to restore location services by selecting "Reset" and choosing "Erase All Content and Settings" to set the phone up as new. When the phone resets and goes through the setup process, I was given the option to turn on location services. I then restored from backup and was good to go.
Some people have been able to resolve the issue by resetting but only using "Reset All Settings" without having to erase all content, but that did not work for me. It took a while to get everything back to normal, but it is good to know that there was a somewhat simple solution.

I found that if you go to settings/Wi Fi/(then press the blue button on the right of the network your joined to)/Then look at the numbers to the right of "router" and put these numbers into your internet browser you will come up with a login page put in the password (may be "admin") and then look at the Primary DNS and write this down then insert it into settings/Wi Fi/(blue button)/and then insert the numbers you wrote down into the DNS section.
If you have trouble logging into your router call customer support for Internet Service Provider (ISP) and find out how to find thE DNS

I found the answer to my question.
When you attach a device (iPhone, iPad) to your Mac, in iTunes 12 in appears as a tiny icon in the second "row" of the iTunes display. Click the icon and the familiar iTunes display for the device appears. From there, on the Summary screen, you can see the dates of the backups of the device (iCloud and backup to the computer). You can also use the button to backup to the computer.

That usually means the phone was hacked or jailbroken to unlock the phone and when you update the phone it locked back up again.
Only way to resolve this issue, is to find out who the orignal carrier was and have them unlock it. If you bought this from a 3rd party contact the seller and have him/her unlock it for you by contacting the phone carrier.
