Select the .dmg file and double-click it. FWIW, there's no DiskImage thing in Utilities on any of my boot volumes.

What model is your TC? What is the firmware?
I recommend you do a factory reset and use short names.. not apple recommended names.
Short.. 2-20 characters .. less than 10 even better.
No spaces.
Pure alphanumeric.
Set fixed channels for 2.4ghz wireless.. test with 11, 6, 1 at least.
That often helps.. if not and is old, ie Gen1-4 go back to 7.6.1 firmware which is far more solid.

Contact the carrier... ability to receive government alerts is controlled by the carrier settings.

V4 replaced my v3.6 then would not work on Mac X 10.4.11 why was there no warning, Now I've lost all my bookmarks

I did not get a warning that v4 would not run on Mac X v 10.4.11
As a result when I replaced my v3.6 with v4 it would not boot up and I got an error message that it would not run on my system.
Now I have lost all my book marks and references that were on v3.6
Foxfire should have put a warning that it was not a universal replacement for v4 and would crash most Mac X v10 systems.
Why was there no warning???

I grabbed an older version of Foxfire 3.5.17 off a friends computer and it booted up great. It ever retrieved all my old bookmarks that I thought were lost.
Yes, you are correct. My Motorola Mac X with system 11.4 will not run the new Foxfire 4.0.
I only wish Foxfire would put a warning on the system requirements for 4.0.
They also need to provide a much better library of downloads for older versions of Foxfire, with an easy link on the Foxfire.com opening page.

Each time you connect your iPhone to iTunes, you need to eject it before closing iTunes by clicking on the little "eject" icon shown in iTunes. It seems that sometime in the past, you did not do that.
I'm not sure how to undo the previously done damage, but maybe a reboot of your Mac would help.

Mac, image order in photoshop--why can't Mac put things in order?

Has anyone found this to be true/frustrating? You take many, many photos. You upload them to your Mac, open them up in Photoshop and they are out of order?
When I'm shooting 6 frames a second, sometimes I would like to have the shots looked at in sequence. Is there any fix for this or is it just my Mac that has this inability to count?

I don't think it's your Mac specifically, but a side effect of how Photoshop is written. If I drag half a dozen files to the Photoshop icon in the dock, my pictures are opened up out of order, but if I drag the same pictures multiple times, they always open up *in the same order* (although out of order). So I'm guessing it has to do with how big the files are and how Photoshop allocates threads (and how many threads) to do the actual file opening.
Modern computers do many tasks at once (threads). That's how you can tell Photoshop to open a bunch of files, then switch to Mail and get your mail. But at the same time, Photoshop can spawn threads of its own.
Here's a simplistic way to look at it, and I have no idea if this is what's happening with Photoshop, but suppose you have three files of various sizes:
A 1MB
B 4MB
C 1MB
If you dragged all three of them to Photoshop, and PS spawned two threads to read them, what might happen is that file A would finish before file B, so the first thread would start on file C. But, since file C is also fairly small, it would finish before file B, too. So you'd see the files in this order: A, C, B.

AirPlay Mirroring requires either a Wi-Fi (802.11 a/g/n) connection or an Ethernet connection to the same local network that both your Apple TV and Mac use. Make sure that your Mac and Apple TV are connected to your WiFi.
If your Mac supports AirPlay Mirroring, an AirPlay Mirroring menu extra appears in the menu bar when an Apple TV is on the same network. Turn on mirroring by selecting an Apple TV from the AirPlay Mirroring menu. The AirPlay Mirroring menu extra icon is blue when AirPlay Mirroring is on.
If you do not see the icon, then you can turn it on via System Preferences > Displays.
If you don't see AirPlay Mirroring in Displays Preferences, then your Mac model does not support it.

Installed itunes 11.0.2 on Mac OSX 10.6.8 - why no Size or Kind in View Options? Can't distinguish WAVs from mp3s!

How can I distinguish mulitple WAVs from mp3s in Itunes 11.0.2 when no "size" or "kind" options are available? Also, how can I recover lost playlists?

Itunes crashed today & automatically installed 11.0.2 when I reopened it Chris.
There are definitely no "size" or "kind" boxes under View>Options, see screengrab. I didn't delete any playlists, they disappeared!

This is UNACCEPTABLE. When a computer hard drive crashes, you can't do anything about it. Now I have a ton of photos on my iphone that I just can't get off it when I want to sync it with my newly purchased Macbook Air.
This is one area where controlling everything end-to-end is too much. Let us get to the **** raw data files where we need too (like the Macbook allows you to do that). COME ON APPLE. SERIOUSLY, do a **** upgrade and fix this crap.

You can get your photos off your phone. If they are all in Camera Roll just import them to your new computer (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083). If some of them were synced to your iphone from your computer (i.e., in photo library) just use an app like PhotoSync and send them to your new computer wirelessly. For that matter, you can sync your phone with your new computer without losing your data and settings if you carefully follow this guide: https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3141. Your only issue will be non-purchased music on your phone which is not in your new iTunes library, which will require 3rd party software such as Touch Copy to transfer from your phone to iTunes (or you will have to rip you CDs again to import them).

in general, Apple retailers in a particular country are only allowed to sell products in that country. You’ll either need to find an Egyptian retailer with the particular model which you’d like to purchase, or purchase one in person in another country and import it yourself.
