I Can't Buy Any Music! Help Please.

Okay, this happened a few days ago. I've been trying to figure out what happened, but to no avail, so I've come here to get help. Every time I click on an album, it takes me to the regular screen where it shows the info about it on top along with reviews, etc.
On the bottom where the songs are supposed to be is nothing. I've tried clicking on multiple things, but nothing works. All I see is black columns.
Does this have anything to due with the fact I just redeemed two fifty dollar music cards from my birthday? I don't know if putting that much on at once makes Itunes do something funky.

I emailed apple support and they replied a day later that I needed to upgrade. So I upgraded and I still cannot download any music. Ive looked for a 1 800-help phone number but cannot find one. As much as I like i-tunes, I think they still havent worked out all the bugs if so many people are having the same problem.

    If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then go to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you should see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.
    If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you won't get the reset option - you will need to contact iTunes Support or Apple to get them reset.
    e.g. you can try contacting iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Account Management , and then 'Forgotten Apple ID security questions'
    or try ringing Apple in your country and ask to talk to the Accounts Security Team : http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57
    When they've been reset (and if you don't already have a rescue email address) you can then use the steps half-way down this page to add a rescue email address for potential future use : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312 . Or you could change to 2-step verification : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5570

  • ITunes 9... I can't buy any music!

    I want to buy some music... I really do... but I can't! iTunes hangs when I want to view an album, hit the "back" button, or do much of anything in the iTunes Store. It says it is accessing the iTunes Store, and the progress bar goes about half way, then stops. Eventually it times out and drops the action. Very slow. Anyone else have this problem? It seems very buggy, I'm suprised this was released this way.

    i just upgraded to v9, and now i can't buy any music either. i get "accessing itunes store" when i hit "buy this," then it just hangs.
    the last time i upgraded itunes, it refused to recognize my iphone, so i couldn't upgrade to iphone os3. the apple store geniuses and apple support told me i was the only one having this problem - then a week later apple issued a general fix for "problems with recognizing devices." hmmm.....
    so, i'm thinking i agree with you- let's wait a bit when releasing new versions - this is tedious.

    Is it an old card with data on it? What size is the card.

  • I can't buy any music

    I know people have been reporting all kinds of problems with iTunes, but mine seems slightly different. I can get into the music store far enough to search for individual songs, but when I click to buy (or add to cart), the dialogue window says 'Accessing music store' and stays that way, never get in and never giving me an error message. It won't allow me to cancel, so I have to close iTunes, and then I can't reopen it until I've restarted my PC. I can't swear that it coincided with downloading the latest version, but I suspect it. I've gone through all the fixes suggested - my windows firewall has iTunes as an exception -127.0.0.1 local host is fine, etc. I have the same problem on my wife's networked PC. It's extremely frustrating. Does anyone have any advice?

    This is EXACTLY my problem as well!
    I have two identical new Dell desktop PCs that are hardwired into my router - both behave as you described. Here's what's strange: I have a Dell laptop that I operate wirelessly to the router. It loaded the software today and works FINE! I have meticulously set my desktop settings to match the laptop but they still don't work.
    I have:
    - Turned off all firewalls
    - Completely shutdown AOL
    - Reloaded iTunes
    - Bypassed router
    - Shutdown virtually all other processes
    ....still nothing.
    Apple Tech Support: What a joke - 3 days after sending them my issue I get a form letter back telling me to read some articles (already had done that).

    Try going to the bottom of the Music tab in the iTunes store app on your phone and tap on your account id, tap on 'View Apple ID' on the popup and log into your account, and then select the Country/Region section and select your country.

  • The main page of iTunes is not showing up, I can't preview ANY music, and I can't buy any music. Why is this happening?

    Like I said... I'm having all these problems. I have the updates, my computer isn't firewalled against iTunes.. I don't get it! I've been having trouble with the previewing thing for a while now.. the little 'play' icons never show up--even on music that has already been released. The front/main page of iTunes (when you first open it) shows only the side bars, not the new releases and What's Hot and all that that's usually in the center of the page. Now, on top of that (this is a very recent development) I can't even buy music! I'm signed in, I have a valid payment method, and the Buy button shows up... but when I click on it, nothing happens. I am getting really tired of this; can anyone tell me what is going on?

    You may want to try resetting Winsock as a temporary fix.
    1. To do so, please do the following in an administrator user:
    Windows Vista and Windows 7: Right click All Programs and choose Accessories > Command Prompt. Choose to open as an administrator.
    Windows XP: Click Start > Run and type in cmd.
    2. Enter the following command: 
    netsh winsock reset
    3. Restart the computer and test the issue.
    Note:  If the issue returns, third-party software may be reinserting the LSP.

  • I can't buy any music on my MacBook in iTunes

    When I try to purchase music in iTunes I am prompted for my password. Once I enter it correctly, the prompt disappears and then reappears right after with my password not filled in. I enter it correctly each time and each time it just keeps prompting me to reenter my password. I use my password on my apple  and my iphone correctly and it works just fine. The problem is only on my MacBook. If I enter the password incorrectly in iTunes on my Macbook, it delivers a read message in the prompt telling me it was entered incorrectly. When I enter it correctly, it simply recycles back to the same prompt. My iTunes is complete upgraded to the latest version, as is my MacBook. Please, advise.

    Restart your Mac then try purchasing again.
    If that doesn't help, on your Mac open iTunes. From the iTunes menu bar click iTunes > Preferences then select the Advanced tab.
    Click to Reset warnings and Reset cache then click OK.
    Quit and reluanch iTunes then try purchasing music.

  • Can anybody offer ANY USB help please????

    I'm seeing some flakey stuff with USB use. When I open the U folder to see the contents of my thumb drive I see multiple folders that aren't on my drive. For example I see, "noname1, noname2, Disk3, Disk4, Disk5". And then I can see my files if I click on noname1 or Disk3. The other files are empty or "sometimes" they show some sort of mysterious zipped file or sometimes they show nothing. Also.... sometimes, but not always, when I remove my thumb drive my files still stay there until I log out and then back in.
    I'm also not presented with an icon to safely remove hardware... why is that?
    These are weird flakey things that users are not going to want to see... especially novice users. They'll get quite confused. Do you have any idea why these things are happening and what I can do to stop it? I would think that I could open the U folder and see my files. When I remove it my files don't stay there.

    I assume you are using VDI 3? That uses standard RDP mapping, not USB redirection and will result in stale mount points like you are seeing if not properly ejected from Solaris. If you are using 3.1 EA, then you either need to use Virtual Box as an RDP provider or install the Sun USB code for SRWC 2.2 if using the MS-RDP provider and NOT do the -r disk command with SRWC.
    If 3.0, then you have two choices. 1) Completely deference the drive (i.e. close any explorer windows or programs that have files on the mapped drive open) before pulling it out or 2) Use this script to work-around stale mount points in the underlying Solaris OS. http://blogs.sun.com/danielc/entry/a_usb_drive_daemon_for1
    When 3.1 comes out, we support direct mapping of USB storage with out the mapped drive so you will get all the benefits of safe ejection with out having to do the -r disk switch.
