I can't buy anything because itunes keeps timing out

So I am trying to buy an album .... and I need to update my billing info .... so go to my account, then click change billing info and imediatly I am taken to a page where it says the connection timed out. I can't create a user and a box keeps popping up asking me to verify my billing info by entering my password .... I put my password in 10 times in a row but the bloody thing keeps popping up. ***. Any clue on how to fix this?

    If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then go to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you should see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.
    If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you won't get the reset option - you will need to contact iTunes Support or Apple to get them reset.
    e.g. you can try contacting iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Account Management , and then 'Forgotten Apple ID security questions'

If not then is there a reset link beneath the questions that show on that screen (it all only show if you have have a rescue email address on your account) ?

    Troubleshooting
    As with all clickwheel iPods, you can reset this iPod by first toggling the hold switch on and off and then simultaneously pressing the select (center) and menu buttons for approximately 5-10 seconds.     "a connection error or something like that" is not really helpful in diagnosing the problem.
    If you are using a Windows PC, the update often times out. If that is the problem, you could try again after disabling your firewall and antivirus programs.

    Alternate emaiI addresses are not used for resetting security questions, only your rescue email address is.
