I can't charge my iPhone

I attached my iphone to a computer that had been attacked by some viruses and from then on I can't charge my iphone correctly and it everytime i want to charge it iphone shows this message after 2 or 3 minutes from plugging charger to power source.

I'm having this same problem.
Updated my iTunes and now,
when I connect my iPhone 3G,
nothing happens.
iPhone screen stays black.
no chirp, no charge, no nothing.
charges thru the wall outlet just fine...

Because the iPad requires a lot more power to charge than your iPhone, and typically car and computer USB ports simply don't proivide that much.
Its the same reason your iPhone comes with a 5Watt charger (and even then the iPhone only uses part of that) while the iPads come with the 10 or 12 watt charger.
They just need more power.

Hey there. Am using a non apple charging cable for quite a long period without having any problem but since i installed the new update i can't charge my iphone. When i plug it in, i got a warning that the cable has no certification and it might not work properly with this iphone devise. Funny Apple, your attempt to make $20 forcing me to buy a "certified" usb cable, where the incredibly handy 6' eBay cables costing $3 worked just fine for the 5 years I was an Apple fan cost you three phones, and at least one laptop. not to mention another tablet in the next year or so. Since two Months i can't charge my i phone 4s , the issue began in sound , the iphone will be mute or silent alone without touch anything ,
then the iphone sometimes accept to be charged and sometimes don't accept ,
finally it don't accept that and i can't use the device till now

I really have a shock and i'm surprise from the service of Apple , i thought that the Apple is the best but that unfortunatelynot true
I'm a manager in company and we have 2000 employees most of them are using IPhone but after this service I will let them shift to Samsung , they offer me a very good offer with 2 years warranty and to replace my device if they can't repair it even out of the warranty
I beleive that Samsung is better than Apple

As has already been said in the thread above, the Apple USB charger is universal and will work anywhere in the world. All you need is a plug adapter.

I can't charge my iPhone 4 and I can't back it up, any advice?

I was using a new charger on my iPhone 4 and I didn't realize it had push release buttons, I pulled it half way out then realized my mistake. A few days later my iPhone will not charge or register being plugged in, unless on my new charger in which case it only registers for a split second. I have access to another 4th gen. and it works on the same charger that mine doesn't. I cleaned out the port and it doesn't necessarily look damaged. I can't charge it and I can't back it up, any advice?

Let's try a standalone Apple Mobile Device Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of why it's not installing under normal conditions.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:

Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi (or AppleMobileDeviceSupport64.msi) to do a standalone AMDS install.
(If it offers you the choice to remove or repair, choose "Remove", and if the uninstall goes through successfully, see if you can reinstall by doubleclicking the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi again.)
Does it install (or uninstall and then reinstall) properly for you? If so, can you get a normal iTunes install to go through properly now?
If instead you get an error message during the install (or uninstall), let us know what it says. (Precise text, please.)

Can't charge my iphone in my car.. ARGH!

I have bought two USB-car chargers so far to charge my iphone in my car but none of them works!!!
First one was looks like this,
I bought a belkin iphone accessory pack, and it came with it.
When I use this charger, my iphone would say it's charging- battery icon popping up. But then about 30seconds later it would turn on the light on by itself indicating that it has been disconnected. 30 seconds later, it's charging.. repeat..
The accessory pack was really cheap and I thought I have received a faulty one..
So I bought this last night!
I plugged my iPhone cable to the USB slot and nothing happens...
Nothing at all. No response from the iphone.
When I inserted my old charger to one of the three slots, it had the same result as just plugging it in to the ciggarate slot directly.. So maybe the USB slot is just faulty??
I can't believe I have to buy a third charger to plug it into the second charger I bought..

This sounds like very low output, "can you not charge an iphone 4S with 5v 500ma". I believe most iPhone car chargers are above 700ma. If I bought a Car Charger today, I would buy a charger rated to work with iPad. Then you would have an iPhone compatible car charger with perfect output to handle an iPad also.

1. Verify that the outlet being used is working.
2. Try another USB power adapter if available.
3. If no other USB power adapter is available, try connecting to a high-power USB 2.0 port (not a keyboard). The computer must be turned on and not in sleep or standby mode.
4. Try another USB cable if available.
