I can't check my hotmail when I am on Firefox, but I can on Internet Explorer!

I can log into my hotmail, but once I am logged in, I can't do anything, but if I am using internet explorer, I can check my mail that way, what is wrong with Firefox?

Then I tried changing minor items in site.css (such as font size) and the changes did not show up on FireFox, but do show up on Chrome and Internet Explorer.
Example of change below: I changed the background from #e8eef4 to #ff0000. The table header background shows up in red for chrome & IE, but stay in light blue for FireFox.

Firefox was working fine on myWindows Vista. The internet was down. When sevice returned. Firefox would not connect. Internet Explorer works. E-mail works. Television signal works. It is enable on the fire wall. However, Firefox won't connect.

The internet is working. I downloaded Firefox again. It will not connect.

I have unistalled, and reinstalled Firefox three times. I have unplugged the modem, rebooted the computer, made an exception in the firewall, can get e-mail and use other browsers. There is some button I'm not pushing somewhere. Can't anyone working at Firefox answer this question? I'm ready to give it up all together. Thanks.

FireFox upgraded automatically today and since then I can't launche it...it freezes up and I have to shut it off at the computer...I can access Internet Explorer

FireFox automatically upgraded today. When I try to launche it, it only loads about half the page. (I use Google as my home page) It just gets stuck there. I try to close out the page and I get "this program is not responding". I can launche Internet Explorer with no problem, (I much prefer using FF, but if I can't get into it...) so it has to be something with FireFox. FF freezes, so I end up having to shut of my computer AT the computer, because it won't shut off at the desktop monitor. Windows asks me to send a report and I have. I don't know if it has anything to do with it, but my Norton antivirus prevented a plugin from happening...I don't really understand it all...

And when I clicked on Firefox, Firefox will open quickly and easily.

Hi, are you saying that you start Firefox and it stalls -- you can see it in the Task Manager but it never displays -- but if you kill that process and start Firefox again it starts up properly that second time?
If you look at the statistics available in the Task Manager's processes tab such as bytes read or other bytes, can you see whether Firefox is doing anything at all? ''Note: You might need to add columns if your Processes tab isn't set up to display statistics. You can do that from the View menu.''

Cant download a movie from netfix with firefox but can with internet explorer

When I go to Netflix to watch a movie , after selecting a movie to play , Netflix checks the quality of the connection then starts to buffer at which time the program and computer hangs up. to clear I have to restart the computer.
Thought my problem was the Netflix connection but then used the Internet Explorer and had no proplem
This is a recent problem since I was able to watch movies on my computer before

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

I'm new to Firefox. I have icons on my desktop, but when I use them they take me back to Internet Explorer.

How can I put icons (links to websites) on my desktop with Firefox? Yahoo, for example. I use the Firefox search bar at the top of the page, search for Yahoo.com, go to my mailbox, try to save the site to my desktop. But when I double click on the icon, it uses Internet Explorer to go to Yahoo. In fact the icon is an Internet Explorer icon.
This seems so basic, I must be missing something obvious. Any assistance will be appreciated!

I am working in Ancestry.com. If I am in Internet Explorer, I can copy a picture & then paste it in my pictures, on my computer. If I am using Firefox, I don't understand which things to do to copy & then paste a picture, like I can in Internet Explorer. I prefer to use Firefox, but need to be able to use this copy & paste feature, often. I just downloaded Firefox, & started using it, again, yesterday. I just got a new computer in June.

When you run out of keyboard short cuts, enter the addtional names in the name field in the keyword editor. That will start a new Keyword Collection. You can apply the addtional keywords to multiple cllips on the event browser. Or you can drag the clips into the Collection in the Event Library.

Take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried, until the problem is resolved.
Step 1
Restart the router. Many problems are solved that way.
Step 2
Change the name of the wireless network, if applicable, to eliminate any characters other than letters and digits. You do that on your router via its web page, if it's not an Apple device, or via AirPort Utility, if it is an Apple device.
Step 3
Run the Network Diagnostics assistant.
Step 4
Back up all data.
Launch the Keychain Access application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Keychain Access in the icon grid.
Enter the name of your wireless network in the search box. You should have one or more "AirPort network password" items with that name. Make a note of the name and password, then delete all the items. Quit Keychain Access. Turn Wi-Fi off and then back on. Reconnect to the network.

Make a note of all your settings for Wi-Fi in the Network preference pane, then delete the connection from the connection list and recreate it with the same settings.
