I can't choose Adobe Media Encoder when rendering to video in photoshop

I am trying to export an animation in Photoshop CC.
Under Render to Video, the dialog box does not allow me to choose "Adobe Media Encoder" (it is greyed out)
Why is that?
I have Adobe Media Encoder CS6 and CC.

Unfortunately, photoshop cc doesn't support video on mac os x 10.6.8 and that's why you not able to export using the Adobe Media Encoder.

Help! I can no longer choose Adobe Media Encoder when trying to Render a Video.

When I try to Render a Video, only the JPG option is available, but I need to render a Quicktime.
Most likely related is a new error I receive when launching Photoshop CS6 Extended: "Could not complete your request because of a program error." This dialog box has an OK button. Once i click this, it opens no problem. Had been ignoring this until today when I couldn't render my video.
I have not changed anything with Photoshop so not sure why this is happening now, when it didn't use to before.

Sorry, of course you would need that. I'm running Windows 7 Professional and have Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended for 64-bit. PS version number is 13.0.1 x64.
What else would be needed?

Can't run Adobe Media Encoder CS4

I can't open this application at all. It starts up, and shows the brown screen, but then quits and I get the message "The application Adobe Media Encoder CS4 quit unexpectedly". What can I do to sort this out? I reinstalled all my Adobe stuff a week or so ago after having some problems in InDesign.

You're not providing any system info nor the exact error when it crashes, so this is not going anywhere. That aside you may have better luck simply asking in the AME/ PPRo forums.

I have installed two versions (AME AME CC and CC 2014), AME CC 2014 has unistall file, but the application AME CC has unistall file or i can not find it. Because I have installed two versions, CC and CC (2014) I have a small ssd drive, I want to uninstall unnecessary applications and replace them with new ones from the 2014 edition. Can't use Adobe Media Encoder CS5. It won't encode

I'm following lessons on Flash Professional CS5 Classroom in a Book and I've just got stuck on lesson 8 because AME won't work. The program opens fine, but when a drag the penguin.mov to it, I get this message:

I then try to use it with my own movies to see if it works. It starts encoding and suddenly it stops and gives me the exclamation mark inside the yellow triangle under "Status". I click on Status and I get this message:

Are Adobe applications all updated? Try help>updates to make sure.
If not, you might post some info on your system to help troubleshoot.

Hi, I tryed recently to export a finished video in Adobe Premiere with Adobe Media Encoder, but unfortunately, until recently, it crashes a few second later when I try to open it. I try to open it without Premiere, same result. I tryed to uninstall the program and re-install it, but no success. So, I really don't know what to do. Any ideas ?

Adobe Media Encoder CC renders do not reflect changes to Dynamically Linked After Effects Comps

When rendering a Premiere timeline with a dynamically linked After Effects composition, Adobe Media Encoder will sometimes use an older version of the linked composition (even after I have saved changes in the After Effects comp).
For example, if I correct a spelling mistake on some text in After Effects, save the composition, and then add the sequence to the render queue in Premiere, the final output from media encoder still has the old spelling.
If I do a straight export from Premiere instead of adding to render queue, the output is always correct. I've noticed this problem on several different Windows 8.1 systems.
All versions of the software are up to date as of today.
Why is this? Is it something to do with the disk cache in After Effects? Does media encoder have it's own cache that I need to clear?

Hi, I've been having this same issue. Here are some additional things I've noticed about it:
Changes are reflected properly when played back on timeline in Pr CC 2014.
Happens regardless if the dynamic link file was rendered or not, thus deleting the render files does not fix the issue.
The issue can persist through saving, closing, and reopening both AE and Pr.
I'm using OSX 10.9.4, so this is not just a PC issue.
Other than manually watching for every change to be reflected in the render, there is no way to know a problem has occurred. Needless to say this can be incredibly costly.
Please address this quickly, it's completely unacceptable that what we render out could be a different version from what we see on the timeline.
PS Some additional things I will be testing:
Does the issue persist through closing all CC apps, including Media Encoder.
Does rendering directly out of Pr, i.e. not using Media Encoder, fix the issue.

Adobe Media Encoder pausing rendering while working in Premiere Pro

Hello everyone,
So I am redering a video in Adobe Media Encoder and at the same time I am editing a new one in Premiere Pro.
I noticed that AME is constantly pausing the rendering and did not know why. It turns out that while I'm editing a video in Premiere Pro, I am constantly pressing the space bar to start/pause the video I'm editing. While I do that, AME keeps pausing/unpausing the rendering. Somehow, pressing the space bar in PP has an effect in AME.
I have no clue why it does that because the Premiere Pro window has the focus, not the AME one.
Has anyone ever seen that?
I use Windows 8 and Adobe CC.

Yes I do queue footage by having an Autowatch set up on the directories where the video is written to. I rarely do a direct export unless testing new settings.
Don't take this as gospel but I too had a feeling that GPU acceleration didn't happen with AME, only direct export. Not sure where that came from, I did watch some of the recent Adobe TV Web Seminar's about new features of CC products etc, so maybe on one of those?
I found this while trying to find out where I had seen it but it is from AMD site not Adobe so whether it's fully 100% correct I dunno:

Adobe Media Encoder CS5 stoped sporting video! :(

Has somebody had the same issue with adobe media encoder stoping during the export always when is like more than half of the process(60% or 65%).
This never happend before and is happening now, I have to force quit because the aplication is doing nothing. and later when I try to do it again file>export>media>export settings>queue> apears preparing for export and after exporting data and the adobe media encoder does not open!

Yes, I solved it!
My problem was the cineform file! I try exporting half by half as a quicktime file and reinport it to premiere pro only on a quicktime project and export it again the full secuence and this time didn't have no problems.

Can't locate Adobe Media Encoder Vista (64bit)

I am having trouble locating AME in C:>Program Files (x86)>Adobe>Premiere Pro CS5. This is the trial version, Installed it about a week ago and had to reinstall because of a system restore I had to do. Last time I installed it, there was a sub folder with a shortcut to AME. Now I get a dead link labled Adobe Media Converter and when I click on it, I get a "file can't be located" error message. Anyone here having the same issue? I don't want to take the risk of purchasing a corrupt file. Adobe clean tool didn't detect anything.

Why? The information you got was accurate.
John was describing the situation if you exceed your 30 days with the trial. Harm was talking about obtaining En and AME separately from Pr; he wasn't talking about installing them separately.
Finally, you went looking for a 64-bit app in Windows' 32-bit Program Files (x86) folder. 64-bit apps are found in the plain ol' Program Files folder. You were looking in the wrong place.
If you feel hard done by the other users here, I understand. But I doubt you'll find as knowledgeable a group elsewhere, and you certainly won't find the employee participation that you get here anywhere else.

Where can I download Adobe Media Encoder?

I've already installed Premier Pro and AE through Adobe CC, but I still can't seem to find the Media encoder?

AME installs with those other programs, it's not a separate download/install.

Adobe Media Encoder not loading any videos from Youtube.

Some HQ videos I downloaded from Youtube and put into Media Encoder doesn't work. I have the option of downloading an HD .mp4 or .flv.
For the .mp4s, when I put it into the Encoder the preview and output are both completely black. When I encode I just get nothing but audio and it's about 4MB.
For the .flvs when I try to load it simply says it can't load. The lower quality .flv works though.
My primary concern is getting the .mp4 to work. Not entirely interested in the .flv. I'm using Windows 7 64-bit.

After playing Youtube go to your temp internet
files and copy the file to HDD which is a mp4.
Add this to the Media Encoder and see if it will work now.
If it still does not work, your ME is prob. not working right.
I sometimes use AME as a converter and it handles mp4 just fine.

Media Encoder not rendering full video

So I just got Premiere Pro CC with Media Encoder and am trying to render a video I made in premiare pro. However video starts rendering half way throught the video and when done only the second half of the video is done. How can I fix?

Im kinda suffering the same thing, i dunno whats happened recently but its since the yosemite update. Im having to render in about 5 attempts each time rendering a bit further.
