I can't come in to my Mail.
I have a MacBook Air from the summer 2012 and I can't come in to my mail, or I come in but I can just look at my old ones, my new doesn't come and I can't send mails either. I just get this message "Mail can not connect to your account "Hotmail" " then I get to write my password and then the message comes again. But I came in before but now it doesn't work.
When I go in to account settings and look at the setting Server, outgoing e-mail (SMTP) it stands " Hotmail (offline) ".
Can someone please help me? What am I going to do?

I am in the UK and eventually found the problem was due to my BT Home Hub Router. Not sure where you live, but of you are in the UK, this might work for you.

There's an issue related to the BT homehub that is providing a hostname that is "syntactically incorrect" for several smtp server.
Here's how you can fix it.
Using your internet browser, go to the address "192.168.1.254
- Follow instructions to reset your password if asked.
- Then go to "Settings", then "Advanced Settings" and "home network"
You will see there all the devices that are connected or that has been connected before. It's gonna be easyer if yout computer is the only one connected.
Your computer should have a name like "unknown-xx:xx:xx:xx:xx ...
Click on this name, chose another name without any special characters, like "macbook" for exemple.
And then click on "apply"
- restart your computer.
That should fix the issue.

Can't send smartform to external mail address

Now, after creating some self-defined smartforms, we want to send its
PDF copy to
our external mail address. From this point, I had some try.
Reference to SAP Library, I make a testing program named 'YPDF_TEST'.
However, one exception always exists when running and error message id
is 'XS806' - means

I filled the address with following fields.

You can follow a different approach. Send the output of the Smartform to the spool.
You have a Function Module to read the spool and convert it to PDF . Then there is one more function module to attach the PDF and send it as a mail.
You need to configure SMTP in Tcode : SCOT.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

Can't use Find My Friends on iPhone due to Apple ID not being verified.
Can't do this as I can't access my .mac email any longer and I can not change the primary e-mail address for my Apple ID!
So my options are:
Create a new Apple ID, use that and lose all the apps I've purhcased with it (a fairly substantial amount)
Somehow Migrate these purchases over to a new Apple ID
Apple let me change the primary ID for the account
Anyone else ran into this before?
I've tried accessing the mail through a mail application using the correct server information, and trying both the old 6 character password and the one I had to change it too after they updated the security guidelines - neither work.
Help would be greatly appreciated as I can see more services down the line not working without the address being verified!To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iDevice, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use. When you do this you may find that the password for your old ID isn't accepted. If this should happen, and if your old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, you need to temporarily recreate your old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. You can't change and iCloud email account address once created. You can either create a new iCloud account, or add an @icloud.com email alias address to the existing account, which will receive email in your existing iCloud inbox (more details here: http://help.apple.com/icloud/#/mm6b1a490a.
If you would rather create a new account and keep your data, start by saving any photo stream photos on your phone that you want to keep to your camera roll (unless already there) by opening your my photo stream album, tapping Select, tapping the photos, tap the share icon (box with upward facing arrow), then tapping Save to Camera Roll. If you are syncing notes with iCloud that you want to keep, you'll need to open each of your notes and email them to yourself so you can later copy and paste the text into new notes created in your new account. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password to turn off Find My iPhone and choose Keep on My iPhone when prompted. Then sign back in with a different Apple ID to create your new account and choose Merge to upload your data. When you turn Mail on you will be asked to create your new iCloud email address. If you migrated your MobileMe account before 1 August you should have signed into System Preferences>iCloud with it, and you would be able to see your calendars, bookmarks and emails on the iCloud website. Is this the case? Did you sign into iCloud with your @me.com address?
If you did not migrate your MobileMe account you can no longer do so.
If you did migrate, did you do so from a full MobileMe account or from a Family Pack sub-account? the latter did not get the complimentary storage (because their iDisks were only 5GB anyway).
If you had a full MobileMe account, check on your Mac - System Preferences>iCloud - and see whether that shows the upgrade. If it doesn't, you probably need to contact Support: if you currently happen to have AppleCare, either because you recently bought Apple hardware or have paid to extend the inititial period, you can contact them here:

The Apple helpdesk told me that my iPhone 4 does not have the function to keep sent mails stored. I cannot believe that. My iPhone 4 has a Sent box, I have checked the Sent box in Configuratieo--> E-mail, ...Calender..,but the Sent box is always empty after I have sent an E-mail. I know that the E-mails arrive at their destinations. How can I activate the Sent box?

Of course you can have sent items in your mail on the iPhone 4. I have mine there all the time.
Sounds like you might have issues with the software.
I recommend trying a reset, send email and see if that goes to the sent items directory

I have an older computer and can no longer update. After the latest Apple update I can no longer access my e-mail on my mac. I can view it on my iphone and on icloud. Is there a solution to this problem?
Apple changed MobileMe to iCloud and then restricted iCloud to 10.7 users only unfortunately
If your machine is a 64 bit processor Intel Mac you can upgrade to 10.7 for $29, however a lot of your 10.5/10.6/Rosetta based software could cease to function, especially third party hardware drivers for printers, fax machines, all-in-ones, scanners etc.

Also depending how old the machine is, if it can accept 4GB of RAM (preferred), older video card, may not run 10.7 very well or stable.
My advice is to keep at 10.6.8, get a web based email service that's plaform/hardware neutral, forward your iPhone emails there. Gmail/Yahoo Mail for instance.
When your ready for new hardware and all new software, then buy a new machine.
If your going to go to 10.7 on your present hardware, I advise you clone 10.6.8 to a external drive first, that way you can c boot off the 10.6 disk erase the drive completely (necessary to remove hidden Lion Recovery Partition) and option boot off the 10.6.8 clone and reverse clone.

But a great hint is- Always click on the [Create a Saved Book] button, early in your new book design.
Then you have a permanent link to the book in the Collections panel. (In addition to the standard collection of your selected images)
Note: a Book Collection shows an icon that looks like a book.
Every time you come back to edit the book, open the Book Module by clicking on the white arrow that appears on the end of your Book Collection title. (The title as saved)
Re-opening a book without using the "Saved Book" option can have unpredictable results.
A "Book" Collection is like a "Smart Collection" because anything you do to the book design, change pages, change images, etc, is automatically updated in the Saved Book collection. -

iCloud's mail server settings are different from MobileMe's. Strictly speaking Lion 10.7.2 is required for iCloud, and on that Mail is set up automatically.
Snow Leopard cannot access most of iCloud's facilities, however you can set Mail up manually to access your email. The method is described here:

iCloud cannot access your AOL account (the MobileMe facility for checking external POP accounts does not exist in iCloud) - you will have to do this in the Mail application in the usual way. You could of course set up forwarding from your AOL account to iCloud (assuming they provide this facility) but you will not be able to reply using iCloud's SMTP server with anything other than the iCloud address as the 'From' address. -
Can send but not receive in Mail
I can't send out email in Mail, despite having the right settings. (I have gone over this with support.) I have used Mail for years, and this has only been a problem since upgrading to Leopard. Saw Pascal's answer to zfalstaf on Jan 7 and tried all his suggestions but nothing helps. Erased my account and reinstalled it. No good. The same settings work in Thunderbird.

1) quit mail, launch again
2) shut down mac, the launch again
3) go to mail>preferences>accounts and in the account information pane, click on the smtp drop down menu and select the smtp info for that account, then in both account information and advanced delete the info and enter again and save
4) go to same location as 3) above, and try different ports, such as 587, 465... does switching ssl do anything?
5) go to your keychain access app and look for the password used for that account, is everything all right? maybe delete and save another one, or maybe there are more than one thereby confusing mail.app
6) repair permissions in applications>utilities>disk utility
7) delete that account, go to keychain and delete that password, then create from scratch
(Me again: I have done these, and they have not helped. Hope you have some other thoughts. Thanks!)
