I can't communicate my scope TDS3034B with LabView 6.1 for Ethernet, I have did what the page of NI talk, but don´t work. I used NI-VISA 3.3, I can configure my instrument but I didn´t read data from it. Can anybody help me please.
Thanx for help....

Hi Massignan:
There are instrument drivers available for your instrument on our Instrument Driver Network. I have found the drivers for you particular instrument which are available for download from this site.
Please try these drivers out and for additional reference I have included a couple of links to some documentation.

Yes, or simply configure 1 UDP and default device profile for the other one.
EDIT: and actually with those models, you should be able to use just one

  • Hi All, can i have some production support issues with rootcasue and resolution for SAP TM?

Hi All, can i have some production support issues with rootcasue and resolution for SAP TM?
    Thanks,
    Sreenivas

    Hi Sreenivas,
I would recommend that you read the Rules of Engagement and other documents in the Getting Started link (top right) before posting anymore.  Your Discussion will most likely get reported as non-specific and get removed.  If you have a specific problem with TM, please post it in a new thread with error messages, version and SPs installed, and how the error occurs and what you are trying to get TM to do.
There are a lot of resources available in the TM Overview page which can help, so start there and maybe also look at some of the MKS (Monday Knowledge Session) recordings which should also be listed.  There are also a lot of experienced people who can help resolve issues your TM installation, but you need to provide enough information on the problems you are having.  If you are just looking for information on past problems, do a Search or simply browse through past Discussions which are marked with a green Check (Correct Answer).

can i use my usb audio interface with apple tv? For example Focusrite 2i2

Afraid not - AppleTV does not support USB audio devices.
I assume you don't mean using the device as an optical input for the computer, connecting AppleTV's optical out to it.

  • How can I use my Keithley 2100 DMM with LabVIEW 7 Express?

How can I communicate with Keithley 2100 digital multimeter using LabVIEW 7.0?

    Hi,
There are a number of ways,
    1) Unfortunately the driver on the Keithley site is for labview version 8.0, so you could speak to keithley to see if they can provide a ver7.0 of the instrument driver
    2) You could use the version for the 2000 model from the NI website
    http://sine.ni.com/apps/utf8/niid_web_display.download_page?p_id_guid=E3B19B3E90B0659CE034080020E748...
There is a version 7.0 which you could modify to suit the 2100
    3) Use the VISA vi's and create your own driver using the user manual for the bus commands to driver the instrument.
    Hope this helps

From reading Vista forums support for SSD is one of the things Vista SP2 and Windows 7 hope (need) to improve upon. I was in a similar discussion once befoe on SSDs:

"My guess is that [Samsung and Microsoft] are maybe working on the OS recognizing an SSD with a 4K-byte sector size instead of a hard disk drive with a 512-byte sector size," Wong said.
Sun is already working with Samsung to bulk up SSD support on the ZFS (Zettabyte File System), which is included in the Solaris OS, and will also be supported in Apple's upcoming Mac OS X 10.6, codenamed Snow Leopard. Sun is adding capabilities to boost the durability and performance of SSDs on ZFS-based operating systems. For example, Sun may add defragmentation capabilities for SSDs, which organizes data in a particular order to enable quicker data access.
SSDs were not considered ideal for defragmentation because of limited read-and-write capabilities, Wong said. However, Samsung and Sun in July jointly announced an 8G-byte SSD that bumped up durability from 100,000 read-and-write cycles to 500,000. That brings defragmentation in SSDs closer to reality, which could improve its caching and provide quicker access to data. Sun plans to put SSDs into storage products later this year.

  • Can I use a DAQ PCI-1200 with Labview 5.0.1?

I have a Labview 5.0.1 software, and I want to use PCI-1200 with it. Can I do that? My OS is Windows XP, but I can change it with Windows98/2000.

    Hello jhylee,
The latest NI-DAQ driver for the PCI-1200 is 6.9.3, which is compatible with LabVIEW 5.0.1. LabVIEW 5.0.1 supports Windows 2000, but not Windows XP (although it may still run).

  • Can I drive a proximity badge reader with LabVIEW v8.0 ?

I have a proximity badge reader system in my facility;  the brand name is HID.  I would like to expand the use of those badges to a LabVIEW application on the shop floor.  But, I need to know if LabVIEW can drive a badge reader.
The proximity reader that I can buy from HID that will work with my existing badges has an RS232 interface.
    Would that work ?
    Thanks.

If it has an RS-232 interface, you should be able to do it..
It may simply send an id-tag when it is in proximity..  The proximity simply sends enery to a coil (transformer) which activates the chip to transmit a small RF signal containing the badge id.

  • Can I use the songs that come with adobe Premiere Elements for commercial use/film?

Can I use the default songs that come with adobe Premiere Elements for commercial use; such as in a film?

    C. Raio
We are not Adobe here. Rather user to user.
In the threads that I have read here the following is the user to user reply on this matter that is seen regarding project assets....Music Scores in this case....
The Music Score soundtracks are from the Adobe Premiere Elements (12 or 13) Music Score selections within the program.
And, they can be used in the users choice of export. As for "authorship", I guess you would point to Adobe, Premiere Elements version, Music Score.
Would the evaluators settle for the above information?

  • How can I access CAPI 2.0 methods with LabView ?

I must use CAPI 2.0 (common ISDN interface) method with LabView (graphical interface), the work is to command a ISDN S/T card on PXI Bus, and this card support CAPI 2.0.

This depends upon what type of interface you have to the ISDN. I assume you have either Basic Rate Interface (BRI) or Primary Rate Interface (PRI). Do you have a DLL to control it? If so, you can use the "Call Library Function Node" VI to access this DLL and just make calls to it. If you have an ActiveX Server, you can use the LabVIEW ActiveX Automation VIs to access it.

  • Can you program a agilent 8960 rf with labview work?

does labview also work with a rhode and schwarz cmu 200 rf?

If you are using an NI-GPIB board, LabVIEW has a simple set of gpib functions available in the Instrument I/O >> 488 palette. Also LabVIEW and the GPIB driver are shipped with several examples demonstrating simple GPIB applications.
Alternately, if you are using a third-party board, you can either use a VISA distribution compatible with the board or use Call Library Functions to directly access the driver of the GPIB controller. Documentation of the dll should be provided by the vendor.

  • Can't install niDAQ 6.9.3 with Labview 8.0?

I'm trying to install the legacy drivers for my new/used DAQCard-1200 for use with Labview 8.0.  For reference, I've also installed Labview 8.2 evaluation.  I've downloaded both niDAQ and Labview 6.1 eng support and ran setup with it all in one directory.  The problem is that  the Labview 6.1 Support option has a green checkmark next to it and the description says it "won't be installed", that it is already installed and that the installed version is higher than what I'm trying to install.  Any suggestions?

At this point I would recommend attempting to:
    1) Make sure that National Instruments Software is not listed under Add/Remove Programs (and if it is, uninstall MAX and go from there). Should look something like this:
I don't mean to harp on this point, however it is very odd that the folder is not there at all...
    2) Possibly use System Restore to revert back to a point before you 'manually uninstalled'
    3) You could also try to use the Driver CD.  That should detect the software on the system and you may be able to remove/modify the software that way.
If this does not work, then we may have to work on this "offline" and have me contact you directly.  If you give me permission, I can get your contact information from our web team and we can go from there.

  • Can 5 axis image stabilization be engaged with non system lenses for A7II and A7rII?

Many people use/will use their excellent non system manual focus non system macro lenses on the A7II and undoubtedly on the soon to be released A7RII. Stabilization in the X/Y planes is very very important for macro. Sony on the A7II only stablizes the X/Y planes for lenses that report the focus distance as best I can tell. Perhaps the lens compensation app or another can be modified so this data can be manually inputted or even change the firmware to allow this and thus stabilize all 5 axes. Focal length will need to be inputted of course as well. Perhaps there is another way around this that I have missed. Thanks for any comments.

Thank you for taking the time to answer.  I have done more digging in reviews and recalled sony's announcments which implied on 3 axis IS is available w/o a lens that reports focsing distance. Not my favorite source, but review from PCMag: "If you're using a non-native lens, or even a native manual focus lens like the Zeiss Loxia 2/50, it's stabilized along three axes—yaw, pitch, and roll. There's a technical reason for that. In order to compensate along the x and y axes, the camera needs to know the distance to the subject, which requires electronic communication of the focal distance from the lens to the body. To compensate for the other three axes, the only data that needs to be transmitted is the focal length of the lens. Even if you're using a purely mechanical Leica lensit can be stabilized—you're able to manually enter the focal length via a menu. The only real downside to this is that the A7 II does not add that focal length to the recorded EXIF data, so if you like to track which lens a shot is captured with, you'll need to take notes." http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2475439,00.asp A friend informed me that on his A7II he must mount a non OSS Sony lens first to have any image stabilization with any of his totally manual lenses--seems the camera saves the settings of the last lens attached.  Turning the cam off doesn't reset this--very odd---seems to be a bug in the firmware.  I hope the A7rII is different. This whole issue is quite confusing.  Appreciate any additonal clarification.

  • Can I target the STM32 Primer2 hardware with LabVIEW for ARM

The STM32 Primer2 hardware looks very cool.  Can LabVIEW for Arm target this hardware?  From looking at the list of ARM devices supported by LabVIEW, this would appears to be a Tier 2 device (ARM Cortex-M3) with no support for TCP/IP or IO.
Can anyone tell me the feasibility or effort required to get TCP/IP, IO, and maybe even display support for this device?

Have you ever said something you wish you could take back after having time to reflect upon it?  Another forum I like, http://newsbusters.org lets the author edit his posts for a short time.  Maybe NI could to that and I would not be pulling out my foot so often.
Well, perhaps I was a bit more "colorful" than I meant to be.  Frustration does that to me sometimes.  Still the idea of a strong rope covered with disgusting risks does get the point across magnificently.  I just wish I had saved it for something more suitable.
Let me think back to some of the problems I've had in which I've lost hours trying to figure out...
    1.  Can't use the Wait ms function.  It halts the program.  Express wait works fine.  It was sprinkled throughout which made it hard to isolate.
    2.  Some sub VIs don't run unless they are checked as inline code.  I don't yet understand why.
    3.  At the beginning of my main vi there was a small cluster in which I filled the data from an SD card file.  I used a constant of the cluster on the input of the Bundle function, but because my program and variable sizes were near the max I changed a number of variable representations to save memory.  ...But I didn't replace the constant.  The program started exhibiting really strange behaviors.  I couldn't even get a simple state machine to run.  I was reduced to commenting out (disable structure) sections to find the problem before noticing the coercion dot on the input to the bundle (The dot against the red string color doesn't stand out very strongly which is why I missed it).  Apparently it overwrote memory since the older cluster was significantly larger than the new.
    4.  Spent a lot of time trying to get the SD card to work with SPI functions.  Even though I read that 2009 supported SD card file services I didn't intuitively understand how to wire up since the Open/Create/Replace function has a ref num output which actually connects to the file(use dialog) input of the read and write functions.
    5.  Had a problem with breakpoints and probes not working.  That apparently was caused by item #3.
    6.  Typo bug in the Arm_irq.c file  LM3Sxxxx_GPIOCAHandlerP to LM3Sxxxx_GPIOCHandlerP
Some of these are of the rope variety. A few are actual bugs.  All probably could have been solved in moments had I a local guru.  Anyway, I've spent hours and my hands hurt.  I hope to have this little project working on the LM3s8962 today and after some hardware changes will port it over to the Primer2... Hopefully...
This forum has been a real help... especially your quick responses.
    regards to all,
    David
