I can't connect to itunes via my computer - the error I am receiving is: Itunes cannot connect to the store.  The network connection was refused.  I am on the internet and I know that is working.  Please help.

SO we rule out Winsock provider issue.
Can you try these entries in command prompt (Run as Administrator for Win7/Vista) one at a time?
ipconfig /release
then
ipconfig /renew
restart computer
ipconfig /flushdns
totally shut down computer then restart.
netsh winsock reset all
restart computer
Now test your iTunes again. If that does not work, uninstall your Antivirus program and test again.

    - Connect the iPod to the computer and make a backup by right clicking on the iPod under Devices in iTunes and select Back Up
    - Restore the iPod from that backup. The restore will also update the iOS.
    Note that the backup that iTunes makes does not include synced media like apps and music
    Are you sure you have a 3G iPod? A 1G iPod can only go to iOS 3.1.3

    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on           
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try another cable                     
    - Try on another computer                                                       
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

    For a "hard" restart of your iPad just press the home and power button at the same time and hold it for at least 10-15 sec. until it restarts.

    Oh, the irony of referring to yourself as "myklthebrain".  Make an appointment, at the nearest Apple store, with an Apple Genius, and hope that (s)he can sort it out.

    There is no CDMA network in India - it does not exist and is only in the US which is what the Sprint and Verizon phones are. 
    If you purchased a CDMA US phone, then it is very unlikley that it will ever work in India.  It definitely won't work on CDMA network as they don't exist in India - end of.
    Not sure if the CDMA iPhone 5 has a sim card tray - if so, then insert an Indian sim card into it and you then should be able to use the phone with an Indian carrier.  CDMA iPhone 5's should have sim card trays that are unlocked.  If so, the phone should work in India, but other than that, you may be saddled with a phone that you can't use.
    If you purchased it on e-bay, then it is buyer beware and go and file a claim with E-Bay for misselling and return the phone.
    Other than that, this is a public user forum and Apple will not here you here.
    You need to contact Apple directly.

    You probably have other things on the iPad that are taking up a lot of space.
    What you'll want to do is connect the iPad to your computer and select it on the sidebar in iTunes.  It will show you a bar along the bottom that tells you what is taking up space.
    TV shows can fill up the space pretty quickly, but you should be good with even a 16GB iPad 2 if you can see what might be taking up the space.
    Post here what the bar says and we might be able to figure it out if it isn't something you figure out with that information.
    As an example, let's say that it says Photos is taking up 15GB, then you would go to the Photos tab and disable syncing of them altogether, or limit what it syncs.  The same would be the case for any of the other stuff that takes up space.

    The latest version of iBooks in the App Store will not work with iOS 5.1.1.

    1. Try to delete and then re-add the fingerprint. Things to consider is make sure your finger is dry from any liquid or moisture. Also try to clean off the touch id sensor with a soft cloth and rescan your fingerprint. 
    2. Try to reset your settings and then go to settings-general-touch id and passcode and re-add your finger print. When you add the fingerprint make sure that you don't move it around too much until the first part of scanning your fingerprint is done. Then in the second part of the scan is where you wanna move the finger around.
    Hope this help! I have my iPhone 5S and it does help when the fingerprint sensor is working.

    Bad idea.
    Content bought with an Apple ID is forever associated with that Apple ID. Apple will not transfer content from one Apple ID to another and Apple will not merge Apple IDs. Unless you are prepared to forfeit all the previously purchased content and buy it all again with the new Apple ID, you will need to maintain the old ID to update and redownload your content.
