I can't connect to my G4 server after update to 10.4.5

Impossible to get my g4 from my power book, no more connection works : ftp, wired server or carracho server. DDNS address doesn't works, nor IP one. There's just the internal linksys router IP address (192.168.1.100) that works.
Somebody can help me ?
Claude

Ok I'm finished updating and I still can't connect. I find it odd that I can see the server in my Finder sidebar, yet cannot connect. I don't even have the option to eject the server like I did before I updated to 10.6.3 (now 1.6.8).
I was using 10.5.3 before. Any ideas on how I can get connected to the server again?

  • Can't connect to 10.6 Server after upgrade

I have a Mac Mini server running 10.6.8 using kerberos as the only authentication for AFP.
After upgrade my Macbook to Lion I can't connect to the server Sharing Points anymore. If I try to connect from Go to Server, it asks me for a password. I think I am not being authenticated via kerberos. Before Lion everything was working fine. Another computer running 10.6 client are connecting fine, so I am thinking the problem is with 10.7
I used Login Options > Network Account Services to bind to the Server. Green Light!
I tryed klist from terminal but no credential was found, so I used kinit username. Now it shows a credential but I still can't connect.

I solved use to finder menu connect server to and use complete name server with domain example:
    afp://nameserver.domain.com and connected with kerberos

  • Itunes can't connect to store - error 11333 after update to 7.4.2.4 for win

I downloaded 7.4.2.4 for windows today and afterwards couldn't access the store at all, or my account, or check for tv shows to download for my multi-pass i purchased. what's up? i did all the troubleshooting and everything appeared fine - my connection was fine, it wasn't my firewall, computer date/time fine, the itunes network diagnostic said everything was fine. i wound up deleting all the itunes stuff (as described on the itunes for windows trouble installing page) and downloading an old version, 7.3.2.6, from oldapps.com/itunes.htm and now i can access the store like before, although i lost my library file and playlists and had to add everything back in.
So I've spent about 2 hours trying to fix this - are others having this problem? It seems like there are soo many problems popping up on this discussion board. I'm definitely not going to update itunes in the future without checking here first.

    toonz,
this is the file from the network diagnostic I did while still running 7.4.2.4 - I also sent it with an email to the tech support for itunes store; so far all I've heard back is that they are working on it and will send me an email when it's fixed. (by the way, I deleted the ip addresses etc. but everything else is the same as it was then.)
Running itunes 7.3.2.6 is working fine, by the way, I was immediately able to connect to the store and download. If anyone else is thinking about downgrading, try saving your playlists first (search for 'saving playlists' in itunes help) because you won't be able to use your old itunes library file. I don't know if saving the playlists separately will help, since I didn't know that would happen when I started. meeshala

  • Thunderbird can't sendmail on yahoo email server after updating to Windows 7 Pro on an ASUS BP1AD PC. Tried Thunderbird 31.2 & 24.6 configured as IMAP.

After recently updating to Windows 7 Pro on an ASUS BP1AD PC, I can receive email but NOT send using yahoo mail server. I am configure to use IMAP. Other email servers/accounts do not have this problem. The exact error message I get is an alert which states: "An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: From address not verified - see http://help.yahoo.com/I/us/yahoo/mail/manage/sendfrom-07.html. Please verify that your email address is correct in your Mail preferences and try again" If my email address in Thunderbird is good enough to receive messages iwhat's up with sending. Is there something obvious I am missing?

When you send mail the field you mention is used to populate the "ReplyTo: fild in the mail header. Otherwise it has no purpose and setting it to nothing will also work.
Yahoo are obviously checking that field as you send mail. that is points to a valid address, and I have a sneaking suspicion that is might be required to point to your yahoo mail account.
Historically the"Nigerian" type scam emails used a replyto address completely different from the one used to send the mail. So even if the sending account was closed down they still got the replies. The mail quite commonly originated in Yahoo and replied to Hotmail accounts. So I guess they have a check to try and discourage that legitimate, but undesirable from their perspective, use.

My husband's iphone can't connect to the app store after updated his phone to ios.7. and has internet connection.

Any update will cause problems for a few users. And those users will rush here and post "the sky is falling" stories about their experience. The 99.99% of people who have no problems after an update won't bother to post here; indeed, most of them don't even know ASC exists. FWIW, I had no problems with iOS 7 on my 4S. Your problem is most likely not related to iOS 6, but you should probably update anyway. You will need a library to handle SSH connections.
I'm using SSH.NET, you can find info on it here : http://www.powershelladmin.com/wiki/SSH_from_PowerShell_using_the_SSH.NET_library
It has a bit of a learning curve but the web site has some fairly good tutorials.

I've just done a clean install of OSX Server and added the latest MYSQL packaged installer. Afterwards I found the lock file in /private/tmp/mysql.lock
The easiest way to solve this problem is to create a symbolic link so that the lock file appears to be in right place.
    e.g.
    cd /var
sudo mkdir mysql <== this assumes the directory is missing
    cd mysql
    sudo ln -s /private/tmp/mysql.sock mysql.sock
After this msql commands should work fine, and you've not fiddled with the security settings on users/groups.

  • "Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock'"

    Data Services=3.1
    Repository=12.2.2.0000
    Red Hat Enterprise 5
    Designer,Job Server,Job Engine=12.2.2.3
After an unscheduled server reboot with DS up and running when trying to start a job in either Data Services Management Console or DS Designer getting the following:
"Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock'"
The mysql.sock have never been in /tmp and on the production server it does not exist there and the production server is up and running correctly. If a link is created to mysql.sock(/home/user/boedge31/bobje/mysql) the job will start but return this message:
"Cannot retrieve <Version> from the repository. Additional database information: <SQL submitted to ODBC data source <localrepo> resulted in error <MySQL ODBC 3.51 Driver mysqld-5.0.46-enterprise No database selected>. The SQL submitted is <select VERSION, SECURITYKEY, GUID from AL_VERSION where NAME = 'Repository Version'"
I checked and AL_VERSION and the Version field exist.
Before the shut down DS was working correctly and had no issues.  My best guess is a part of the repository was corrupted during the unscheduled shut down.  It seems like DS has "forgotten" some of the settings.
Any suggestions on a possible solution?

    The issue has been solved.
There was a bad path in $LD_LIBRARY_PATH.
Removed the path and DS started working again.

    Hi,

A Java AWT, X11 problem posted in the weblogic ejb newsgroup. I haven't been in here for long, but
that has to be a first.
If you have the DISPLAY env variable set to :0.0, you have to be at the console on a Solaris box
running the XServer. 'xdm' I think is the code that has to be running. Also, I think the format is
<hostname:0.0> or better <hostname:0> unless you are on a multi-headed workstation. Something like:
    export DISPLAY=hostname:0
where hostname is the name of the host running an XServer and the .xhosts file allows access to the
    XServer from the display client.
Apparently, you are not at the console?
Anyway, I don't think there is a newsgroup here that I could even recommend to cross-post this to as
it is not a WebLogic question. I think I would try the Discussion Forums at http://java.sun.com.
