There are two places on settings where you can tunr zoom on or off for the trackpad.
They both need to be on for it to work.
The first is under: system preferences>trackpad>scroll & zoom, then you just need to chekc the box to turn zoom on. ( this is the one you already have checked i think)
The second is under: system preferences>universal access>seeing, then check the box that says zoom.

I had the same problem after making Adobe the reader for pdf. Fixed it by
1) removing the Adobe plug-in from the Internet Plug-Ins file in the Library.
2) restarting Safari.
Back to normal.

I can't read pdf files through Safari.

Just recently I cannot read pdf files from Safari. The file shows up as dark space. I don't know why? Guessing I changed something that caused it. Any ideas?

In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder
from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-G. Paste into the text box that opens (command-V), then press return.
From the folder that opens, remove any items that have "Adobe" or “PDF” in the name. You may be prompted for your login password. Then quit and relaunch Safari, and test.
The "Silverlight" web plugin distributed by Microsoft can also interfere with PDF display in Safari, so you may need to remove it as well, if it's present.
If you still have the issue, repeat with this line:
~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari again.

Can't connect with modem through e2500 router

I have an old Speedstream 5100 modem hooked to my e2500 router. Everything works well except if for some reason my modem disconnects from ISP I can not log into it through the route to reconnect it. I must plug a direct cable into modem from computer run connect script then plug modem back into router all is fine again.
Any ideas why connecting to modem through router is blocked?

You cannot access the modem anymore while you have an active PPPoE connection. For PPPoE the E2500 won't need an IP address from the modem thus it doesn't do DHCP on the WAN port and thus it never sees it. When you try to access 192.168.0.* addresses the E2500 will route it through the PPP tunnel to the ISP.
If you hook your computer directly to the SpeedStream it should automatically pick up a DHCP address (assuming the computer is still running on DHCP and not with a static IP and the SpeedStream does not automatically disable the DHCP server in bridge mode). If you have set up a static IP on the computer you have to change the IP address to a 192.168.0.* address.

I intalled the Labview2012 into my laptop, it can work well with audio precision APx585 through APx500 drivers, but it can't work with AP SYS2722 even I copy the driver to NI installation directory. Howevery, I can use the AP's control softwrae(client) properly.

Unfortunately I'm not sure there's much I can do to help. When your contacts are deleted it's not unusual to still see this when you text or use spotlight search. The device retains some residual contact information in cache memory even when the contacts are deleted. However, there's no way to access this directly, or transfer it back to your contacts on your device. If you have a backup of your device, you may be able to recover them by restoring to the entire backup, however this is not always successful. If you want to try, and your backup is in iCloud, use this procedure to prevent any recovered contacts from being overwritten by iCloud:
Ensure the device is connected to your local network.
Start the restore from iCloud back up.
Allow the devices settings to restore (watch for the confirmation of completion).
As the apps begin to restore pull the connection to your router WAN port (the one that goes to the telephone point).
Wait for the time out confirmation.
Navigate to settings > iCloud and turn off contact syncing (keep contacts when prompted).
Reconnect the router to the internet and let the restore process complete.
Delete the iCloud contacts from iCloud.com on a computer.
Navigate to settings > iCloud and turn on contact syncing (merge contacts when prompted).

Can't access my website through safari through linksys modem

I've just spent 6 hours with linksys support and all we could make work is Internet Explorer. But I mainly work on a Mac, which doesn't have IE and I'd much rather work with safari.
Here's the problem.
I have a bunch of websites all hosted under the same shared hosting account. At first I could access them while wirelessly connected to linksys router. Then the connection got very slow and eventually, I couldn't access my websites anymore. I could access all other website. In fact, I'm connected wirelessly and I can reach that forum, but I can't access my websites in that hosting account.
EVERYONE ELSE can access my websites though. And I can go anywhere else which has wireless connection and I can access my websites. So they're up.
I can also connect my computer directly to the modem and access my websites. It's only when I'm connected to the linksys wireless router that I can't.
So the idea was the problem is with linksys. I spent 6 hours with linksys support and all we could do is make it work on my PC with I.E. by selecting the following option: Internet options --> connections -->LAN settings --> and check "automatically detect settings.
How do I do that with Safari?? Any suggestions?

It's not a mac problem. I am able to access my router i.p address with safari.
The problem that I have is with the Mac AND my PC. They both cannot access my WEBSITES that are all located in one hosting account using Safari. For example, I can't access www.bullseye-promotions.com using safari or Firefox.

HERE IS THE CONFUSING PART... I can access my websites through a linksys wireless router outside my home. The problem occurs only in my home. I bought a new linksys router but the same problem remains.
Even when I hardwired through the linksys, I still can't access my websites that are hosted in that particular shared hosting account, except with I.E.
sometime I gain temporary access but then I loose it again. I think the linksys support guy told me it's about linksys giving the right public I.P address, or something like that.

You should do something with this.

We are all just fellow users here and can do nothing about this issue. You are not communicating with Apple when you post in these forums.
But I don't see that Apple is doing anything wrong. Many companies use distributed server networks such as Akamia to handle extreme loads. So it would seem to me that your SMTP callback system needs to be modified to accomodate such uses, since they're more and more likely as use of such relay networks by large companies expands.
In any case, you can submit your comments to Apple here:

though any such comments would probably get more attention if submitted by your network engineers.

im new to arch and i try to set up wpa_supplicant in order to get use of netcfg.
But it somehow dont want to associate with wpa encrypted networks.
I already got my wlan card running using ipw2200 module and it seems to be recognized correctly.

Hmmm.... your wpa_supplicant output looks fine, as far as I can tell. Identical to mine. If "Connect" is your network, I don't see a problem. Strange.
Just a thought, are you running (if you use dhcp) sudo dhcpcd eth1 after the wpa_supplicant command? Can you post the output of that along with your /etc/wpa_supplicant.conf?
