I can't create a security copy into iCloud

When I upgraded to iOS 5, I enabled iCloud backup. The first security backup was created succesfully but it almost used all the available space. The next day, when the iPad tried to create the iCloud backup, it warned me that there was not enough space. So I decided to stop using iCloud. I canceled the security copy on iCloud.
But now, my computer is being repaired at an apple service center in my country. I left my computer there, came home, bought more space on iCloud, and tried to create a new backup. Right now I need that backup urgently, I need to be certain that everything I do on my iPad goes straight to the cloud. Problem is that every single time the backup starts, even though it manages to copy a few items, it fails in the end. So, right now, I have almost free 25 GB and no security back up. Some people said that iCloud had to be enabled from the computer iTunes. I had already done that a month ago, and I tried doing it today again from another computer (not mine, mine is at the service center). It didn't work.
I read somewhere in support files from Apple that I should erase any incomplete security copies from the iCloud. I've tried that twice. Still not getting any results.
Any thoughts? Please, this is urgent. I want to be able to use iCloud, but it's been all frustration right now.
I'm also interested on keeping a security copy both on iCloud and my computer? Is that possible?

Dear Pooja,
yes you can if you have such authorizations in production system.but its not the good practice to do such testings on live system.because of the lot of loads and burdens will be there on live OLAP server.so instead of creating it in produtcion diredctly create it in dev or Quality and check your data quality and see whether your query needs tuning techniques and all then after making it all.transport the query to production and it will be deliverd to release version to the client to test it.otherwise may be your query creates some performance issues on the production system. so always follow the best practices and which is beneficial to you.

Hi!!!
I want to change my device through BB desktop software. When I connect my actual device (BB curve 9360), it's take too much time to create the security copy, is it normal?? It seems like it stops at the smart card options data base.

IPhone security copy in iCloud never worked

Dear iCommunity!
I bought my new iPhone 5 64 Gb in Dec 2012.
I've tried to make the security copy in iCloud several times but with no success, even following all Apple instructions such as:
Wifi connection properly functioning
Device connected to electrical source
Device turned Off
Can anyone of my iCommunitymates help me solve this problem?

You can add up to three 'email aliases' - these are additional addresses (not accounts) which deliver into the same inbox as the main account. (In fact it's a good idea to give out alias addresses, rather than the main address, because if they attract spam you can easily change them.) (New aliases can only be @icloud.com ones; @me.com addresses cannot now be created.)
You should be aware before you start that once you've created an alias you cannot turn that address into a full iCloud account or move it to another account.

You can of course create additional iCloud accounts, but any one device can create only three accounts - after that it can sign into accounts created on another device but not create any more (this is tied to the hardware).

Go to Settings>General>Reset, tap Erase All Content and Settings, go back through the setup screens on the phone and when given the option, choose Restore from iCloud Backup.

To add to what Jim said, he is exactly right that there is no way to upload movies to iCloud, that is for music only. However, there are a few third-party programs, Flixster being one of the most popular, that enable you to pay a per-movie fee to upload your movies to what they call Ultraviolet, which you can access from computers and mobile devices. Might be worth checking out anyway.

Can Export License text be copied into sales documents??

I have set up legal control in Foreign Trade data to check for export licenses. Within the license we are using there are several types of text. I would like to get at least 1 of them to copy into the delivery note and invoice so I can have them print on the documentation.
When creating this in text determination I can create the text but when I do not see any standard application object when I attemp to set up the access sequence which controls where the text is copied from.
Has anyone else been successful at setting this up so that export license text can be copied into the sales documents? If so how did you get it to copy from the license?? If I can't copy it into the documents on line can I change my print program or script to go get the text and then print it??

Thanks once again, Siarhei!! You are absolutely right!! The text exists in the TTXOB, STXH and STXL tables. And I'm sure you are right that we can get that data to pull into the scripting and print.
But do you by chance know why the text object EMBK does not exist in Text determination table (RVTXOBJ)? If it did exist I could create an access sequence to go and get the data. I would really prefer to set it up that way if possible so we can see the text in the sales order and then copy it into the delivery note and invoice. If not, then of course I will use the scripting to get it printed.

How can you create a virtual copy in a Lightroom plugin?

I looked over the Lightroom SDK and did not see any documentation on creating a virtual copy. Is there an undocumented API for this?
If not, is there a plan to add this into the SDK?

Yeah, I have some good news and some bad news:
- Good news: Keyboard stuffing (as implemented in the elare framework) works equally well on both platforms, provided the appropriate keystroke exists on both platforms.
(Mac version uses applescript, Windows uses autohotkey - both assure Lightroom is the target) - Note: @2011-07-30, I haven't actually tested this particular function on Mac - but I've tested other similar functions on both platforms.
- Bad news: It doesn't always work on either platform, since keystrokes may be usurped by open dialog boxes and open text fields in Lightroom...
- Good news: failure is 100% detectable.
Bottom line:
If the kludgy nature of this solution would be more bad than good for you and/or your users, then this is not a viable solution.
If your users would prefer the caveats in order to be able to get the job, then this solution will work well enough for now.
PS - I'm presently using it in ChangeManager and its a godsend for me. Since I understand the limitations, my failure rate is appx. 0%.

How Can I Create a Secure File Upload?

I have a client who wants to be able to have clients securely upload documents such as tax returns, bank statements, etc.
I've created a secure zone for them to log into, have a webform for them to submit and a button to attach files but how do I make the file transmission secure (such as would be done on e-commerce or event booking)?
I appreciate any help as I niavely thought a secure zone would do it (not sure why I thought that). I should note, I'm more of a designer than a developer so be as gentle on me as possible!

While, technically the form data you submit to HTTPS will be encrypted and secure, it could also be manipulated/hijacked with a middle-man type script.
Since the form itself is not at a secure URL, in theory, a hacker could manipulate that form to add some javascript to send your credentials to some 3rd party site if they wish or even manipulate the form itself to submit to anywhere they want.
If your site is going to get a lot of users then you might want to link to the login page using the HTTPS domain anywhere you link to your login page. Knowledeable users will look for the "lock" icon in the address bars of most login screens just to be sure they are submitting on a secure page but if you are using a non-secure page that posts its form data to HTTPS you won't get the same secure icon in the browser like you would if your page was HTTPS.

I have a little Account section on my site where I have a login form on my main page templates and I don't use SSL on those pages but they do post the form data over HTTPS-- I included a lock/secure icon on the form they are filling out so it looks to the user to be secure but technically it's not completely secure-- it's vulnerable to a middleman hijack.
