i don't have any edit button on my contacts so i can delete

I cannot delete my account, it shows the linked facebook contact will not be deleted.In my Iphone 5.

First make backup of the Contacts by going to the File menu, Export, Contacts Archive.
Then, delete this file:
~/Library/Application Support/AddressBook/AddressBook-v22.abcddb
That is an index database that gets recreated automatically. It appears to be corrupt.
The ~ means your user home folder. You can get to the user Library by holding down the Option key and selecting Library from the Go menu in Finder.

Can't Delete Contacts

I have a 30g Fifth generation Ipod. I cannot delete the contacts. Under the "Contacts" tab I have unchecked the "sync from" bubble and re-synced. Still the contacts are there. I have tried "Enabling Disk Use", gone into the control panel, pulled up the drive the ipod is plugged into, and opened the contacts folder. In the contacts folder, I do not have a 4th folder which contains any contacts. So there is no folder there to delete. Also, the contacts on my ipod are each on there twice. How can I delete them?

You can clear the Address Book database following these instructions. http://bbry.lv/buj0rQ If you synchronize, try restoring the address book by syncing.

Most Iphone 3GS contacts on phone are duplicated, can't delete contacts to

Most of the contacts on my 3GS are duplicates. I am not using MobileMe. I sync with Outlook. My Outlook contacts are not duplicated.
I tried "replace all contacts on this iPHone with PC contacts" in itunes, but that didn't fix it.
I tried syncing with sync contacts unchecked, but that didn't remove the contacts from the iPHone.
People in other posts have talked about going to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendar and selecting an Account and tellint it to delete contacts, but none of my accounts have that option (i only have 2 mail accounts showing).
I don't mind deleting all contacts on the phone, as I can replace them from my Outlook contacts, which are up to date and not in duplicate.
I think this may have happened because I have 2 groups of contacts in Outlook, which are mostly duplicates of each other (one for me and one for my husband). But I only selected my group to sync, and my group is not duplicated.
Can anyone help me please?

Disable auto sync when an ipod/iphone is connected under preferences in itunes. This will be under the edit menu.
Then, reset your sync history:
1. Open iTunes.
2. From the Edit menu, choose Preferences.
3. Click the Devices tab.
4. Click the Reset Sync History button.
Next, connect your phone:
1. Select the device in iTunes and click the Info tab.
3. Select the group you want on your phone.
2. Scroll down to the Advanced section and under "Replace information on this iPhone/iPod" make sure Contacts are selected.
3. Click Apply.
See it that fixes things.

I can't delete contacts I synced from Facebook

I am trying to sort out my contacts and I can't seem to be able to delete contacts that I imported from Facebook. It won't let me click on the delete button like it does for normal contacts. Any help would really be appreciated.

If they were placed on the phone via iTunes sync from a computer you delete them by syncing again using the following instructions from Sync photos to your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch in iTunes - Apple Support
Delete synced photos

Yeah you can only do all with itunes.
On the phone itself you can only delete one at a time.
Go to the contact, choose edit, scroll down, at the bottom is a delete option.

I am not able to permanently delete Yahoo! contacts in Kopete. When I restart the program the deleted contacts are back. I have tried many times using both "Delete" and "Remove" No go. Anyone else noticed this? I am running Kopete Version 0.80.2 Using KDE 4.3.4 (KDE 4.3.4).

I'm using an iphone 3 on iOS 5. When I use the standard mail app (that cam with the phone) to compose a message with my gmail account, I type a letter into the "To: " field and receive suggestions from my iphone's gmail contact list. I would like to remove some of the people from this list, however. The people I would like to remove are not in my regular iphone contact list, and I have deleted them as contacts from the PC version of my gmail.
Is there a way for me to find the contact list for my gmail on my iphone so that I can pick and choose the people I want to delete?

I am trying to delete a picture or a contact on my new Iphone5. When I hit the trash can on a photo and delete photo or cancel comes up I can not hit delete photo. I can only hit cancel. This happens where there is two options in the pop up window. So anything that involves the two options does not work. I can delete a picture if I turn it sideways to landscape, but that only helps for somethigns. Makes me wonder I just got the phone today and already messed up. The phone is on ISO 6.1.4

I have a Nokia E71, and I synchronize contacts with Outlook through Nokia PC Suite. If I delete a contact in Outlook, it is automatically recreated next time I synchronize the E71 with Outlook.

Contact syncing is bi-directional, and the process knows you deleted these contacts, not added them to your phone. Thus, they will be deleted from your phone.

Urgent!!! Can't delete contacts!!!

Hi everyone, recently my parents bought 2 iPhone 4s for themselves. I accidentally synced their 2 old phones' contacts in to one address book.
I found the address books contacts in the "Metadata" folder, where the only way to distinguish the contacts from the 2 phones are by the "Date Modified". However when i delete the files in the Finder window, Address book keeps on making new ones!!!
Now i only have one way to do it is to double click the file in the finder window, so it opens up in Address Book, then i hit delete. I have more than over 300 contacts, i give up after deleting 30 some contacts.
Please anyone, any solutions? I just don't want the contacts to "respawn" themselves!!!!!

this finally removed my 45 ghosts.
Then I simply turned on my contact sync with iCloud and all was good in CONTACTS once more.
...and now those 45 contacts change when I edit them

Can't delete contact properly

So I deleted someones number out of my phone however, I'll get an occasional forward from that person and their name is still in my inbox. If it's a random person just the number shows up but if it's him his name is still there. I was wondering if I could permanently delete him out of my phone? Thanks!

I have been trying to delete my contacts from Verizon Cloud, and I have selected "Delete all" and after that I get the spinning wheel of loading and after 4hours nothing has been deleted. Please help..
