I can't delete iCal event from iPhone

My iCal seems to sync just fine on my laptop, iCloud and my iPhone, EXCEPT for a couple events that I cant delete off of my phone.
They were originally setup as recurring events - to remind me every week about a voice conference I was to have with a client. That weekly meeting is no longer necessary so I deleted it (and chose All future events as well). I made sure it was gone from iCal on my laptop, and on iCloud.
However it is still on my iPhone and gives me an alert about the meeting every Monday.
On the phone, I see no way to actually delete events. When I touch it there is no EDIT button or anything like that.
I must be missing something obvious. Any help would be appreciated.
my iPhone has iOS 7.04
My laptop has 10.9.1
iCal is version 7.0

Go in your iTunes,
Select sync photes from (whereever)
When the folder boxes appears,
*DO NOT SELECT ANY BOXES
*THEN PRESS SYNC
*ALL OF THE UNWANTED PHOTOS WILL BE REMOVED
*THAT WILL NOT AFFECT THE PHOTES YOU HAVE TAKING PREVIOUSLY, JUST THE ONES THAT WAS ADDED FROM YOUR DESK TOP, LAPTOP, ETC.

  • ICal on macbook pro won't sync iCal events from iPhone 5

I've synced/backed up my iPhone 5 with iTunes within the past hour.
After it finished, I went onto iCal on my macbook pro and saw that it didn't have events my iPhone 5 had.
So then I went to settings and changed the iCloud settings so that it would back up iCal.
But even after that, it took too long to back up and it failed at backing it up.
So I googled how long iCloud takes to back up and realized that the more I had for it to back up, the longer it takes.
Now I'm down to 500-something mb for iCloud to back up. It's still taking a long time.
THEN I googled to see if anyone else has had any problems with syncing iCal.
There was one person who deleted iTunes 11.0.1 and downgraded to the 10 version.
Is there any way for me to sync/backup my iCal on my macbook pro with iCal events from my iPhone 5, vice versa?
(Other than downgrading, if there is one)

Your signature says you have 10.3.x but presumably this can't be correct - could you please make sure it's correct to prevent confusion. 10.7.2 is required for iCloud - your Mac won't be able to sync with pre-Lion systems.
The fact that you have iCloud accounts showing does suggest you have Lion: are they showing in System Preferences>iCloud, or where? You can only enter one there.
Are the two different or the same? You could try deleting both and then starting the setup again from scratch.

  • How can I delete Facebook events from my macbook calendar?

I'm using a MacBook Pro. I want to know how to delete Facebook events from my computers calendar, because it's taking up space and preventing me from seeing other events on that day.
BUT, every time I try to delete it, an error message pops up "Only the calendar administrator and any delegates with permission can make changes to read-only calendars. To make changes to the calendar, contact the calendar administrator."
And I can't delete the event. Have not tried declining the event because I don't wanna offend the person who invited me.
Not a computer whiz, so idk if this helps but:

    OS X Version 10.9.4

How can I remove individual facebook events from my calendar on my iPhone with iOS6?

  • Restore specific deleted iCal events from time machine

    Hi,
I had put some events into iCal on my iPhone in early August.  My Calendar syncs with an exchange server.  The events were at first in all the calendars that were attached to the exchange account.  Now some of these events are gone or updates to the events are gone.  I was wondering if I could only restore these missing events from the time machine?  I have an iMac 27" from 2012 with a time machine attached to it.
    Thanks

Sorry but albums can not be restored - and you can not select them in the show package contents display - albums are simply entries in the iPhoto database and have no physical presence
Additionally showing package contents and entering the iPhoto library is extremely dangerous and a tiny user error can destroy the library and cause dataloss  --  it is strongly recommended to never go into the inside of the iPhoto library and there never is a reason t do so
What you are doing is restoring the originals from an event losing any modifications and any metadata editing
And you are breaking a cardinal rule by making changes to the content of the iPhoto library using something other than iPhoto which will not work - photos muct be imported into iPhoto, not saved into its database
But the biggest problem with the OP's plan is that Time Machine is NOT an archival system but a backup system and eventually it will remove the oldest files so sooner or later the OP would lose their photos that had not been restored

Agreed to a large extent, but I don't have anything in the Modified folder to try.
My albums appear in originals as folders. But as you say, they are the raw imports.
As to the wisdom of the procedure; it worked, and I was slightly surprised it did from within a package, but i accept your overall premise.

  • Can't delete old photos from iPhone - sync doesn't finish

I don't sync music (iTunes Match instead). I got the iPhone 6 largely to show photos, synced with Aperture. However, there are two kinds of problems: sync no longer finishes, so nothing new is synced to the phone; and I can't delete thousands of photos on my phone from earlier syncs.
I have tried many things that have sometimes worked for other people, including unchecking the Sync Photos box, checking it and syncing with an empty folder or an empty folder with one image, syncing the phone to iPhoto instead of Aperture, syncing with a different computer, resetting the iPhone, and more.
I also Restored the iPhone from a backup, which at first that worked - no old photos on the iPhone. But once I checked the box to sync with Aperture, all the old events and albums reappeared even though they don't match my current Aperture set-up.
When I try to sync, I get messages saying "Waiting for Changes to be Applied" and then eventually "could not be synced because the sync session failed to finish" though sometimes  I've had to just interrupt it.
The bar on the bottom of the iTunes Summary page jumps around from session to session, showing either the number of images I want to sync or a much larger number that probably matches what's actually on the iPhone. But right now the bar in iTunes shows 17.34 GB of photos, with 26 GB Free; on my iPhone, Storage says I have 4.2 GB Photos & Camera; with 38 GB available.
The Other bar in the Summary line has at times been 5 or 6 GB; right now it's showing 256 MB.
    Suggestions?

Mine appear to be on-and-off.  Same with my wife.  Changing PC (or Mac, if you will) or browser doesn't make a difference.
My case is still open - senior advisor verified that his wasn't working either - but no response.
    I guess they're too busy.

  • Can't delete "Photo Library" from iPhone.  Please help

    Hello Everyone,
I'm trying to delete the "photo library" off my iPhone (as well as all the sub folders it has created). I do not want to have all the images from iPhoto to be on my iPhone as well. When I plug-in my phone, I go to the photo tab in iTunes...un-click the "sync from iPhoto" option at the top...it then asks me if I'd like to remove all the images added via iPhoto to which I answer "remove" but then nothing happens. I've tried re-syncing it, re-starting it (phone, computer and itunes) but nothing happens. The phone is a 3G.
Thank you very much for your help.

OK I was able to figure it out. First, I had to check the "Sync Photos from iPhoto" box in the photos tab. Second; I had to check, "Selected albums, events and faces and automatically included" Third; I to select "NO EVENTS" from the drop down menu. By selecting *no events* I was able to remove all the photos I did not take with my iPhone.
Hope this helps someone else too.

  • How can I delete a song from iphone 5

How do I delete songs from my iphone 5 music files?

Quick Fix: Go to Settings -> General -> Spotlight Search -> uncheck songs and then press the Home button. This should disable all messages from appearing in the search.
Guaranteed Fix: Go to Settings -> General -> Reset -> Erase All Content and Settings. This will erase everything on the phone. This is the only way to "clear" the search results.

  • I can't delete certain songs from iPhone ios 7.

They show up on my phone but not in iTunes and I can't delete them. it wont let me swipe and delete them on my phone and it wont let me delete them from iTunes because it doesn't show them on my phone. I don't have show all my music because like most of everyone there are some song I regret purchasing. when I try and turn it on and then back off to make the music come off they're still there....plaese help I honestly can't stand the songs that are stuck on my phone

I have had the same problem and I was able to delete all but one.  The one that won't delete is the one that is currently playing.  It cannot be swipe deleted.  I had another song that I was having a similar problem so I connected to iTunes, synced that song to the phone and then it would let me delete it.  So, I synced the entire album that contains the song that I can't delete.  Doing so allows me to swipe delete all of the songs until it says "No Content".
However, if I select the "Now Playing" in the upper right-hand of the screen, the song is still playing and when I go back to the Songs list it is back like David F@#king Copperfield with no option to delete it.
I don't want any music on my phone (that's why I have an iPod) because every time I get in my car and the phone connects to the radio it starts playing over Bluetooth audio automatically.

  • Can't delete photo's from iPhone without deleting them from iCloud...

I own a 16GB iPhone 5, every time I try to erase a photo from my iPhone it prompts me with a warning telling me that "this photo will be deleted from iCloud Photo Library on all your devices" this warning pops up in all sections of the photo app. Please help! I am currently running iOS 8.1.3.

From the FAQ: "Deleting a photo or video from your Photos app will also remove the item from iCloud Photo Library and from your iCloud storage allocation. Photos and videos you remove can be recovered from the Recently Deleted album for 30 days. After 30 days, your content will be removed from the Recently Deleted album. Photos are backed up on our servers for up to 30 days after they're deleted from the Photos app." This is by design.

  • Can't delete cloud song from iPhone ios7

OK so after i installed ios7 i realised all my purchased iTunes songs were showing on my iphone. I didn't want to show these so i went to iTunes and made sure only selected playlists were synced, the issue persisted and then i discovered the 'Show All Music' settting in my iPhone settings, this worked and all my purchased songs were now gone from my iphone music menu...
    except ONE **** song.
This particular song, i clicked on and was downloaded it to my iphone before i discovered and turned off the 'Show All Music' switch. So now this song is in my iphone music list and i have no idea how to get rid of it. After syncing my iphone it doesn't show up in my itunes library either. I can't seem to find the old 'swipe to delete' function either to manually remove it from the iphone.
    Please help!!
    thanks in advance!

You're welcome.  If you are automatically backing up to iCloud your have to manually transfer purchases like this to add them to your iTunes library.  This is because when you restore to an iCloud backup, your purchases are simply redownloaded from the iTunes & App stores.  It's still a good idea to transfer them to your library though so you know you have them in case they are no longer available in the iTunes store, or in cases like this when you need to manage them on your device.  (If you were automatically backing up to your computer with iTunes, your purchases would have been automatically tranferred each time you sync.)

  • Can't delete some music from iPhone

I have an iPhone 5 and am running iOS 7.1.2.
Sometimes I want to change the music I have synced up with my phone, and I will try to add or delete music.  When I add songs, everything is fine, but when I delete them individually, they won't always delete.  The file doesn't appear in the iTunes playlist on my (broken 2009-era) PC after deletion, but it appears in iTunes on my phone and will play from time to time.  I can select it from the list, too, as though it were never removed.  Help - what's wrong?  Is this an iPhone problem, an iTunes problem, or a file problem?

I think the problem is that all the music shows as in the cloud but not necessarily on the phone, is there a way to just show whats on the phone, its my sons phone but connected to my itunes account.

  • Can I copy iPhoto events from iPhone to Iphoto in iMac?

In my iMac iPhoto, I have lost 4 events, but they are complete in my iPhone iPhoto.  Can I copy and insert in the iMaac?

If you just want the photos in their event folders on the EHD and you're running iPhoto 9 (11) or later that can be done rather simply:
1 - select the Events you want to move to the EHD.
2 - use the File ➙ Export ➙ File Export menu option with the following settings:
Kind = Original or Current depending on if you want to save the original file or the edited version if it's been edited.
    Subfolder Format = Event Name.
This will export each event to a folder with the same name as the Event to anywhere you'd like, even directly to the EHD.
If you're running iPhoto 8 or earlier you'll have to export each event to folders you've manually created on the EHD before exporting.

  • Can't delete U2 song from iphone

Got most of the album that apple decided I wanted to stop showing on my iphone but one song remains and hasn't got any option to hide or delete. I turned 'Show all music' off on the iphone and I hide the album in iTunes on the computer. The song every breaking wave remains on my iphone. Any ideas on how to get rid of it?

Has Android ever forced music onto people devices and made it almost impossible to get rid of?
Also thanks for your help but I have already done that. It got rid of all the rest of the album exempt for one Song.
    Connect your iPhone to ITunes.
    Select it in iTunes.
    Select the Music tab.
    Untick Sync music.
    Sync iPhone.
    Select the Music tab.
    Tick Sync music.
    Sync iPhone.
Why can I swipe to delete some song and not this one.. how is that even a thing. What fool came up with that idea? and what fools agreed with him?
    Thanks
    Andrew
