I can't disable P2P option in Flash Player

My ISP limits the p2p traffic to 30kB/s, I'd like to disable the p2p option in flash player in order to watch videos at full speed and not buffering every 3 seconds.
I've disabled the relative option in the configuration page on my Chrome browser (it's the same in Firefox), but the speed is still limited to 30kb/s...
Why? How can I truly disable the p2p oprion in Flash Player?

You could check for upgrades for graphics drivers (and DIrectX), if that fails disable hardware accel, im not sure you can turn all animations off.

How do i disable this option for ALL computers in my environment. We do not and will not allow P2P for any app in our environment and I need to either edit the msi script or be able to use some kind of command line switch to turn this off when I push out this insallation. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We do not provide any default option for disabling p2p in our 10 or 10.1 swc, whether streams are p2p depends completely on your connection rtmfp/rtmps, number of streams, player version, firewall and so on.
However, I can suggest you one hack which you can use in your app if you want to disable p2p for streams for player 10/10.1. Just make
streamManager.maxP2PStreamPublish = 0 , and none of the streams of yours shouldn’t be p2p. I haven’t tried it but I think it will work. Just give it a shot.

Registry key to disable hardware accelleration in flash player?

It's causing IE to crash when people watch training videos in flash off Youtube via the terminal server... which as a TS mind you does not have particularly adept video hardware.

I don't have info on disabling hardware acceleration in Flash player. However, if you are running Flash video in a terminal server environment, especially to remote users/locations, I strongly suggest that you look at Ericom Blaze, a software product that accelerates and compresses standard Microsoft RDP, so it speeds RDP while conserving bandwidth. Can't update or uninstall Macromedia Flash player!

Hi folks!
I've got a problem concerning the automatically installed Flash player. I am using a Qosmio G20.
While installing a new program (Lexware Financial Office) this program tried to update the Macromedia Flash player to the newest version. But the deinstallation of the old player was interrupted and the following message was displayed:
The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable.
Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'install_flash_player_7.msi' in the box below.

Closing this window does end the whole installation process of this new program.
After that I opened the list of installed programs to uninstall Flash manually, but with the same result.
Then I searched the internet for this install_flash_player_7.msi. I found the file but I still can't remove or update the Flash Player.
As a last chance I backed up all my data and used the recovery DVD to reinstall the whole system. Without installing any additional application, I had a look at the list of installed programs and guess what? The Flash Player has already been installed, so it is part of the recovery DVD.
But why can't it be uninstalled? I really need to get rid of the old player to be able to install Lexware Financial Office...

but I think I explained it not exactly enough: I know that the old Flash installation is looking for a file that seems to be on antoher pc / server / disc or what ever, but the problem is, that I did not install the Flash Player that I would like to remove, respectively upadte to the newest version.
It is part of the Toshiba Recovery DVD. That means, after killing the HD and setting up the system completely new with the Toshiba Recovery DVD, this little tricky Flash Player is already installed.
It seems to be that there is a wrong link or setup on this DVD. But if that is the case, I can not be the only one with this problem, or?
And is there any way to remove this thing manually?

We run a Citrix Environment (on Windows 2008 R2) and we have our monthly update window. Users complain that they get update notifications for Flash Player when a new version is available but they cannot install the update since they have no permissions to install or update any software on our locked down Citrix environment.We tried already all availabe guides regarding "disable update notification for Flash Player" but no guide seems to work with the latest Version 15.x.

You can download the standalone player (Projector) from https://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html
Note that the download is the player, not an installer, so you need to make the .swf file association manually.

Disable recordings options of flash audio

maybe a bit advanced but out of curiosity...
if a flash media player is streaming audio to the users
brower, how can you disable the audio card's ability to real-time
record said streaming audio?
that is to say.....
the audio is streaming to the user through the flash player
and the users browser
the user is able to then open the mixer of the audio card and
selects "record all" for example or "record mix"
this will then record the output of the flash streaming media
to the users pc
how can this "recording" option be disabled
it can be done as i have experienced said performance from an
audio streaming site

Can i disable TAB key actions in flash? That is i dont want
the focus to get transferred from one button to another on clicking
TAB key. Im using my SWF in an MFC application. Even if the MFC
developers trap the TAB key, it doesnt affect flash - the tab key
works for flash. I will have to do something in flash.
I tried _focusrect = false; but it doesnt satisfy me
requirements.
