I can't download Adobe download  Assistant

When i try downloading Adobe Assistant it says error.What should i do,im so confused

Are you receiving the error message while using the Adobe Download Assistant as mentioned above?
If yes, I would recommend following the steps mentioned in this document : Trouble Adobe Download Assistant
Though the error message you receive is not listed in the document, the troubleshooting steps resolve most issues with the Adobe Download Assistant.
The document contains steps for both Windows and Mac operating systems.

I appreciate the replies that have come back but they are for inserting a forum into C5. There surely must be a way to insert one into C4, surely. Can Adobe please help me with this....and let me know one way or the other. It seems impossible to contact them directly with such issues.

    Indeed we can tell you are desperate. Unfortunately, Lilybiri offered you the best advice. These forums are user to user. Sure, Adobe staff does visit this forum and participate more than other forums I've seen. But you can't count on that. And shouldn't.
    Your request is the first of its kind that I recall ever seeing asked about here. And I've been here a while. So it's a highly unusual request. And unfortunately Adobe likely isn't (or won't) be interested in developing a workaround or widget for an older version.
    Likely your best bet will be to contact one of the folks that James linked you to and pay them to create a special widget for you.

    Odonnells52 you will still need to install Adobe Acrobat Professional prior to being able to make edits to PDF or utilize Acrobat.   By default the installation files have been saved to your download folder.
    If you continue to face difficulties with the Adobe Download Assistant then please see Troubleshoot Adobe Download Assistant.
    You can also download the installation files directly from Download Acrobat products | Standard, Pro | XI, X if you are unable to locate the downloaded installation files.

  • Can't download DW5.5. Error with Adobe Download Assistant

    I am getting error 100 with the Adobe Download Assistant (ADA). The log is below. IE can connect to https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/flex2gateway so why is ADA having problem? I wish Adobe didn't take away the direct download links. Searching the forums it seems lots of people are having problems with iADA and it must be causing support headache for Adobe.
    My suggestion is for people who know what they're doing, provide the direct links. For people who don't know what to do after the download or have slow connection, they can use ADA.

    Sorry, I thought the Cleaner would do it.  Did another search and found these instructions to remove the download manager:

    The browser is involved because it runs as a plugin of the browser.  Plugins are different for the browsers.  IE typically runs through ActiveX whereas other browsers run through a java enabled version.  By trying the download in another browser you can rule out where the problem lies.  Otherwise, I feel your only solution is to get in touch with Adobe support because this is a user-to-user community and there won't be much more help than KB articles.  Also with Adobe email support you can email them log files to look at.  It's along the process and will explain as you go.

    There is only one catalogue named "PDF" and only one program named "Acrobat" in it. As far as I am concerned, there is no means to download "illustrator CS6" or something other than "Acrobat XI Pro".
    I am in China and the download assistant is downloaded form Adobe 中国:创意、营销和文档管理解决方案. I have bought the license of "illustrator CS6" but it's ridiculous that I can't get a copy online. To be noticed, Creative Cloud is not provided in China. It means if I reinstall my system I will lost all my Adobe Creative Suit software though I have valid license and have no credible source to download them. Please HELP!

    Thanks but it seems Adobe doesn't think I have bought the software. Perhaps it's because I buy the Serial Number from other source (shop.edu.cn, a website provide Chinese teachers and student with coupon).
    I buy three SN and register them on my account and what my account shows is like following pictures:

    If you are having trouble with the download assistant you can try going without it by downloading thru the site linked below.  In case there is some misunderstanding, you do not have to install anything more than the trial version.  You use your serial number from the purchase to convert the trial to full usage.
    Be sure to follow the steps outlined in the Note: Very Important Instructions section on the download pages at this site and have cookies enabled in your browser or else the download will not work properly.

    You aren't likely to find them in the Adobe Download Assistant.  Try downloading again and see if it specifies where the files will be placed before the actual download occurs.

    You will need 10.6.8 and a multi-core Intel processor to run InDesign CS6 as well.  You can find the necessary system requirements at http://www.adobe.com/products/indesign/tech-specs.html.

    Edude118118 the Design category is no longer available in the Adobe Download Assistant because there is no trials available in this category.  Which Adobe software title are you wishing to download and evaluate?

    Assistanttolindsey the Adobe Download Assistant will download the installation files for Adobe Acrobat Professional XI.  By default they are saved to your download folder.  You can begin the installation process from there.
