I can't download an update.  It asks for a CD.

I keep getting a notification for an update for QuickTime but each time I try to download it and no matter how I try to download it a screen pops up asking me to insert an installation CD.  When I click cancel it tells me that it can't remove the old version and to contact someone.  So that's what I'm trying to do!  Since I've never been asked to to insert an installation CD before when installing a QuickTime update, can someone let me know why all of a sudden it's asking me this and what I can do about it since I don't have an installation CD?
Thanks!

Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from the following page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATION" thingy on the Major Geeks page):
http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
To install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up").
In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any QuickTime entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC. Now try another QuickTime install. Does it go through properly this time?
