I can't download and install the newest version of iTunes on my Notebook (Windows 7) - any solution?

The following Knowledge Base article addresses the very issue you're describing:

Check for .dll files
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes and C:\Program Files\iTunes and look for .dll files.
If you find QTMovie.DLL, or any other .dll files, move them to the desktop.
Reboot your computer.
Note: Depending on your operating system, you may only have one of the listed paths.
Uninstall and reinstall iTunes
Uninstall iTunes and all of its related components.
Reboot your computer. If you can't uninstall a piece of Apple software, try using the Microsoft Program Install and Uninstall Utility.
Re-download and reinstall iTunes 11.1.4.

I have even done a repair to see if that works and it has not. Has anyone else found a new way to get it working?

For some reason I cannot download and install the latest version of iTunes. 11.0.2. Could you help please? Each time I try, I get a command box saying 'The feature you are trying to download is on a network resource that is unavailable. Click Ok to try again or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package iTunes.ms in the box below.

UK(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
(3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
(5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time? -

I'm having problems with getting Itunes to download and then install. It keeps telling me that it downloaded, but there is no more information and nothing for install either. Also when I go into the old Itunes it doesn't show my ipod there either, shouldn't it be showing up? Please help! I need to hot sync it real soon. What to do?
Your security software may be blocking the download, try turning off popup blocking etc.
If you have trouble getting it to download, you could try FileHippo, that has works for many people with trouble getting iTunes from the Apple site:

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

I have a windows 8 computer and I installed the newest version of itunes because I used to have an ipod and I have a few purchases that I wanted to listen to. When I try to play them it says it's playing but I can't hear anything. It does not even says it's played the whole way. It just stays at the beginning. It won't let me pause. I checked my computer sound and there is nothing wrong with it. So there must be some software problem but idk what it is. If anyone can help I would appreciated. Thank-you

It sounds like there is an issue burning CD's in iTunes. Is the playback issue only occurring on a specific device and does the disc show up correctly in iTunes? I just purchased the new Canon SX60 camera. Despite downloading and installing the latest version of Adobe DNG converter, I receive an error message saying that Photoshop CS4 can't open up/convert raw files (.CR2). This is the same file format as used by the SX50, with which I never had any problem. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to fix this problem? Thanks.

How do I block this msg from always popping up "iTunes requires Safari 4.0.3 or later to be installed to use the iTunes Store within iTunes. Use Software Update to download and install the latest version of Safari". I cannot download this software bc my lap top is to old. After clicking one of the circled links, you should be taken to another page, and after a few seconds you should see a download dialog appear for the msicuu2.exe file. Here's a screenshot of what it looks like for me in Firefox:
Choose to Save the file. If the dialog box does not appear for you, click the link on the page that says "CLICK HERE IF IT DOES NOT". Here's a screenshot of the page with the relevant link circled:
When the dialog appears, choose to save the file.
