I can't download any music or transfer at all is
When I download from iTunes it just says download error, tap to retry. But it still doesn't work, none of my music from iPhone will transfer either. Although no music will download I did download a book from iTunes the other day.
Your version of iTunes is far too old to use the iTunes Store now, which has gone through many revisions since iTunes 7. You need to upgrade to a newer version of iTunes; iTunes 9.2.1 may still work, but upgrading to the most recent version would be best.

iCloud storage has absolutely nothing to do with local storage. You need to free up space on the iPad in order to download the movies. You can transfer some content into iTunes and then delete it from the iPad in order to make room on the device.
Settings>General>Usage>Storage is where you delete content if you want to do it in there. -

Add another good card and delete the old one, Yu can also purchase and redeem an iTunes gift card and hthen delee the bad credit card. Yu need a valid payment method for update as well even purchasing free apps if the account was set up with a credit card.

I'm trying to purchase music from iTunes, and once I hit downloand and I enter my apple password, it looks like the music is pending for me to download, but then the download button resets back to the price of the music, and there is nothing that got downloaded. No charge, no music. I haven't purchased/downloaded music in a while, so I'm not sure WHY I can't purchase/download music now? I never had a problem before....help
Try:

We have two types of Ipods. A nano generation 5 & a nano touch, and we are unable to download music to them was told its because we have an Acer Android tablet. Angs78, you purchase music from iTunes on the iPod touch. I know of no way to get music on the Nanao from the tablet. -

Easiest way I have found with the cell I have is to use a memory card if your phone has a slot. I just put the card into the computer slot and send all the music to the card then pop the card in the phone and play the music. Mary

I've updated to the most recent version of iTunes and I can no longer see any of my old music on my mac. All the music is still available on my ipad. How can i download the music on my mac?
First, are you positive it is really not there? Have you looked in your iTunes folder in your Music folder, and in the media folders there? Do you see your media files?
If your media are gone it is a lot easier to restore from a proper computer backup. Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not a backup device and media transfer was planned with you maintaining a master copy of your media on a computer which is itself properly backed up against loss. Syncing is one way, computer to device, updating the device content to the content on the computer, not updating or restoring content on a computer. The exception is iTunes Store purchases which can be transferred to a computer.
