I can't download any software using the built in web browser. Any ideas?
Hey hey! Thanks in advance for everyone's help.
I just got a new Treo 755p for Verizon. I can't seem to download any software using the built in web browser. When I initiate the download it sits on the download screen and does nothing. I've tried several sources of software all resulting in the same thing.
Could it be settings on the Treo itself? Not sure! Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I can record voice memos fine using the built-in iPhone 4 mic. And my Bluetooth headset (Jawbone Era) works fine when I leave messages on voice mail systems etc. when calling on the iPhone 4, so it appears my headset mic is fine. I can also use voice activated dialing, although it fails miserably interpreting numbers. However, I cannot record voice memos with my Bluetooth mic. I just get barely audible static. Any suggestions? Thanks.
Hello, did you ever get an answer to your question? I just picked up a Jawbone Era and using on an iPhone 4s running 5.0.1. Seems to work fine on regular calls, but not on the built in Voice memos application. It worked fine on my older Jawbone Icon, but haven't tested on the 4s or iOS 5.

Can data be passed to an external web server using the "in-course web browsing" feature in ver. 7? I would like to display a simple web page, and I would like to pass to that web page the answers to all the quiz questions, quiz score, etc. In other words, instead of passing quiz results to a SCORM-compliant LMS like Moodle, I'd like to pass that data to a Drupal Webform using a URL like:

In spite of following all the steps in this Document you continue to get the error when clicking "Generate WSDL", please log a Service Request with Oracle Support.I will check all steps again. When using the built in web server, is there a way to specify a different error handler when you try to access a NON .CFM file? Right now I get the standard:
java.io.FileNotFoundException: filename.ext
Is there any setting to override this and direct the message to your own .cfm template? The missing template handler in the CF Admin work only for .cfm files.
ThxThe in-built web server for ColdFusion 8 is JRun. I am on ColdFusion 10, however, and so cannot offer hands-on advice. (CF10 replaced JRun with Tomcat.)
My guess is that you have to modify the file {CF_ROOT}/WEB-INF/web.xml. Don't forget to create a back-up first!
You may then proceed as follows.
1) In the ColdFusion root (CF_ROOT), create the file myCustomFileNotFound.cfm. Give it some content, like
My custom File Not Found page. Current time: <cfoutput>#now()#</cfoutput>
2) Open the file {CF_ROOT}/WEB-INF/web.xml in a text editor. Add the following error-handling specification just before the end tag </web-app>:
<error-page>
<error-code>404</error-code>
<location>/myCustomFileNotFound.cfm</location>
</error-page>
Save the file web.xml.
3) Restart ColdFusion. Test by browsing to a URL requesting filename.ext -
I want to make a short little video using the webcam and I thought I could use imovie. I just wanted to send myself talking as a surpirse to my nephew. I can't figure out how to use the built in cam to do this. HELP!
First, at the bottom of the display screen (near the left side) there are some icons, a video camera, a switch, then to the right of both, some scissors, click on the video camera icon (to the left of the scissors), a pop down menu will appear, if you have a webcam installed it should be there (or, built in iSight), do you have iSight on your computer, because if you dont im not sure if this will work.

When using the internet, my web browser window goes blank
It does this quite often:
When using the internet, the web browser screen will go completly blank after 2 secs of loading.
I will see the page, then after two seconds it is gone, and the web browser is completely white.
Once, one page or tab does it, all the others start doing it.
It is very frustrating, and happens quite often.
Does this happen to anyone else, and does anyone know why or how to fix it??The next time you have the problem, note the exact times when it starts and ends: hour, minute, second.

How can I download new software without the mac app store
I have tried to obtain new software since lion came out and have not been able to do so because I do not have the mac app store on my mac book pro. There is no hard copy of the new software so I find myself pretty much stuck. Is there anyway i can get around this?

There is simply too much information offered for me ( a neurologically disabled person - specifically with working memory difficulties [dyslexia, dyspraxia/DCD] ) and all one can do is write yet another new question - which will probably be a repeat of what has been asked before in a different way and increase the already existing mass of information for the next enquirer to 'wade; through!

I have all the adapters and stuff like that, I have recorded a lot of things on audacity on my p.c. For $2500 you would think they would have at least kept the input through the headphone jack feature in this mac. I am using an acoustic and an eletric guitar and I don't want to spend more than about $20 to resolve this.
I had a fast tracks usb and it worked great and at $99 it is well worth it. But if you plan on recording vocal and guitar you will need a XLR plug on your mic because it only has two inputs 1/4 and XLR.
Also you don't need a multichannel interface to record multiple tracks, only multiple tracks at the same time.
If your doing all the instruments yourself the fast track or fast track pro may be a good idea for now and then when you need it upgrade to a more expensive firewire interface.
And make sure whatever you get will work with your intel mac.
I just read some of the negative comments about the fast track usb. I don't think some of these people know what there doing. Comments like it only records on the left channel shows user error. -
Can I create a book using the IBooks Author word processing software, save it as a PDF, then have it professionally printed on an offset press to sale in brick and mortar stores? If so, is this procedure free from any IBooks restrictions?
It's your content, under your control.
If you output as an .ibooks file, and you want to sell it, the store is the only outlet, otherwise, you can do as you wish. -
I have just installed Digital Editions 4.3 but am having poblems downloading digital books as I get an error message stating 'Error! Check Activation'. I have Windows 7 and didn't have any problems using the previous version of Digital Editions. Can anyone advise?
