I can't download firefox. When I click on run, I get a window saying that the author is unknown. When I click on run in the new window, another window says the file is corrupt. What can I do about this?
I want to have firefox as my default browser. As this is a new laptop, I hasve to download firefox. As per the instructions, I click on "run" to complete the download, but instead of completing the download, a window appears which says that the author is unknown. If I ignore the window and click on run, I get another window which says the file is corrupt and I can't finish the download and have firefox as my browser.
I have windows 7 and explorer is the default browser and I want to change to firefox, but so far am being prevented from doing so. How can I successfully download firefox?
It is possible that your anti-virus software is corrupting the downloaded files or otherwise interfering with downloading files by Firefox.
Try to disable the real-time (live) scanning of files in your anti-virus software temporarily to see if that makes downloading work.

I have been trying to burn newly purchased (as well as last year purchases) ITunes to a disc. I had burned some of these songs to a disc last year and all went well. Now I have been getting this popup telling me that the AppleSync Notifier has stoped working & the corefoundation.dll needs to be re-installed. Also that Windows will try to fix the problem. Every time I try to burn the disc, the computer sends the disc back out and the screen tells me to put in a blank recordable disc. I have tried 4 different new discs now and the same thing happens.
I am running Windows Vista.
Have been to the Roxio web site for help as well as Apple.
Have tried many "fixes" such as: updating latest version of Direct X from the Microsoft website; Disabling startup items; going to local disc C and into the Apple/Apple Appplication support and right-clicking on the SQLite3.dll and moving it tomobile support device window. Nothing has worked. What can I do to get some music recorder? Should I buy a new cassette deck and record onto tape like I did 20 years ago? This is a very important disc I am making as a gift & I need to get it done by this weekend. Is there anyone that can offer good advice?love paying a lot of money for something that doesn't work right, thanks apple

Basics from the manual are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as NEW. Nothing more "ingenius" to suggest than these steps that Apple has outlined in the manual. If these steps don't work, then go back to the Apple store. -

I can't download Firefox 4 because my Mac says I "dont' have sufficient priviledges", and I'm the Administrator!
Click applications... utilities... disk utilities. select your drive and click "check permissions" and let it run. when this is finished, click on "fix permissions" and let it run.

My Mac assures me that I am connected to the internet, using Airport and also ethernet, but Safari never gives me a home page. Can I download Firefox onto a disk using my Windows PC and then take the disk to the Mac and upload Firefox to use on the Mac ?

Or did you mean this was an album you bought from iTunes, in which case it really isn't a "CD" (which is a hard, plastic, shiny disc) and I'm at risk of getting confused. If it is a corrupt file that you downloaded, delete the file and try downloading it again.

I can't download Firefox from Chrome or IE
I have been trying to download Firefox for a few days now, going back and forth from Chrome and IE. I don't want to use Chrome anymore. When I try to download it from IE it will get to a certain point and tell me that the download has been interrupted and to tap OK to resume, but when it resumes, it starts right at the beginning again.
at first when I tried to download from Chrome (when I tried to download anything from Chrome, this is one of the many reasons why I want to switch) it would begin to download the file and then flash "download stopped, network failure." So I did a little research in the google help page, and they suggested that I clear my cookies and so I did, and now it will allow me to download the file, open it, click RUN, and even go to the install page. But when I hit install, it will say "downloading firefox" for 20-30 minutes, and then proceed to tell me that the download was interrupted. Please if you can help me in any way I would appreciate it. Thank you so much for taking the time out of your day to read this.Every time I try to search for something it will try to take me through another search engine. One that is untrustworthy. for example: login.live.com or signup.live.com, and even though I have Bing as my default search engine, sometimes it will even try to send me through with Google and it even says that Google is not trustworthy.
