I can't download .jpeg attachments in my email to my phone.

I can't download .jpeg attachments in my email to my phone. I can see the image in the message but there is no paperclip signifying an attachment and there is also no option I can find to download the image to my phone.

In your email program, check to see if there is a menu / settings to "Download Attachments". If so, is it selected or not?
I use a replacement email program called K9Mail. Very functional. When I get an email with attachments, I have to press "Download Complete Message" for the attached content to download. Then I can either click on an icon of the image, or, I can go to the Gallery and view the images there.

  • Can't download PDF attachments from Hotmail

    Hi,
For the past 3 - 4 weeks, I have been unable to download PDFs attached to Hotmail messages.  The Windows forum has been unable to help.
I'm running Windows 7, IE 9 and using Acrobat X standard.
So far I have cleared my cache and reinstalled silverlight as the Windows guys suggested.  I also restored my computer to a point in the past when I could download attachments.
I can download PDFs from web sites, and open existing documents.  I cannot download PDF attachments from other email accounts (such as my academic account).
    Any thoughts?

If there is an option to download in binary mode, be sure that is selected. I do not have HotMail and have no clue what options might be available.

  • I can't open jpegs attached to my email.  What can I do?

I can't open jpegs attached to my email.  Error messages say "The file “CH02_12_07_08_07_06_01.jpg” could not be opened." and "It may be damaged or use a file format that Preview doesn’t recognize."  What can I do?

I'm using Mac Mail as my email client.  I've tried to open it directly from the attachment in the email, and also saving it to my download folder to open seperately.  It will open on a PC with no issue.
Background: The jpg comes from a remote cameral systems I've set up.  Any movement that is detected sends me an email notification and a jpg image of the motion from the camera
I've attached a copy of the jpg file in question.

  • How can i download music from my computer to my i phone

how can i download music from my computer to my i phone?

If the music you are wanting to have on your iphone was purchased through itunes you can then go to your front display to settings>itunes and app store from there you have a toggled switch that allows you to automatically download music and apps by toggling the switch. You will need to toggle the switch below these switchs that allows for cellular data to be enabled if this has not already been enabled. This then will automatically download music and apps directly to your device with no additional charge to you.
    Good luck.

You don't. The iPhone 3G can not run anything higher than 4.2.1. It was discontinued almost 3 years ago.

  • PC Users Can't Download Image Attachments

This has happened with a few of my clients.
I attached jpeg images to email I'm sending. In the file selection window I check the box for "Send Windows Friendly Attachments".
When the recipient receives the email they say they can see the images, like it's embedded in an html email. Right clicking on the image they have a Copy Image option, but no Save Image option. There is also no Save File Attachments option in the Outlook menus.
Is there a friendlier way to send images to people on PC so they can actually download them easily?
    Message was edited by: sfdesigner

Yea - clients keep calling asking me to compress the images into a zip file or post them on the web and email them a link. It would be nice if there was a way to avoid the extra step. It helps to see the images in the email for preview purposes but then there doesn't seem to be a way to save them out.
Is it simply not possible to send images to PC users as attachments? Seems kind of odd.

  • Can't open jpeg attachments from my IMAP account on iPhone 4s

I CAN open email jpeg attachments from a POP account on my iPhone 4s (IOS 5.0.1) but NOT from my IMAP account. Is this a known bug? Open remote images is set to "On". No problems on my old iPhone 3Gs.

Absolutely, but can't immediately find how to contact them and their website only gives FAQs and Troubleshooting Guides that don't include this problem.  Just hoping that a fellow iPhone user has a solution.

  • Can't download certain attachments; rolls across top of screen.

When I receive certain attachments, I cannot open them. I click on the attachment, and boxes scroll across the top of the screen and keep on scrolling. I have to X out of the e-mail and start over again, and I never am able to download these attachments. I know that I have not done something that I am supposed to do to be able to download all attachments, but I don't know what that "something" is. I probably will not be able to understand what I am supposed to do. Obviously, the person sending the e-mail and attachment is using some kind of program to attach that I don't have. Help!

  • Mail - can't download pdf attachments made on pc???

When trying to open pdfs that were created on a pc I get the following error when trying to drag it to the desktop..."You can’t drag attachments until they’ve been downloaded. Do you want to download this attachment?" If I save it then it saves but will give an error message that it is an empty file,,after saving it it saves as a zero kb file even though in webmail it's showing up with the real size of the t=file...not sure what's going on...this opens fine on a mac when I open it through Thunderbird and a web based version of mail...it seems to be a mac mail issue...any ideas? I'm stuck with what the problem could be.

Here's what I provided the other poster:
I would remove the account completely in the preferences, and set it up again. But before doing that, create a New User Account, and as that New User try to set up the account that can receive these messages with PDF and test. If not familiar with setting up a New User Account, see:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=Mac/10.5/en/8235.html
This will be a useful test, and obviously is not meant to suggest a permanent switch to the New User Account, but rather a test of all the factors outside your normal User Account. It would bypass any problems in the current User Account. If your account is POP, make sure it is set to leave messages on the server in the New User Account.
Anyway you can get one of these messages with PDF sent directly from the original sender? If so, you can find an address for me by clicking on my name to the left, and looking in the bio line of the resulting Profile.

  • I can no longer open attachments in Yahoo email on the same email page without going out to the downloads section to view

I used to be able to click on download file and the picture would open in the same screen. Now it downloads, but I need to go to the bottom of the screen, click on downloads, and then view the picture.

  • Cannot download any attachments from my email on iOS 6

When trying download attachment from emails after downloading iOS 6 I get an error message that says I cannot download attachment. Prior to iOS 6 these same attachments would pull up with no problems

    Did you figure this out?
Do you see an option to "download full message" at the bottom of the email?  (See the attached photo showing the "download full message" button at the bottom of the email window).
My mom was having a problem like yours on her iPod.  Referring to the photo attached to this forum post, if she tapped on "image.jpeg" she would get a pop-up error that said "cannot download attachment" and her only option was to tap OK on the pop-up to clear it.  We figured out that scolling to the bottom of the message and tapping on "download full message" would successfully download the image.jpeg file attached to the email.

  • Why doesn't firefox have a "print" button in the tool bar and why can't I add attachments to my emails MOST of the time. It only works rarely?? Frustrating!

I cannot find an add on as a print button for the firefox toolbar. Almost every time I want to print, I have to copy and then open a document and paste it there to be able to print it.
Also, each time I want to add an attachment to an email, it rarely lets me. I have to open internet explorer and go through my email that way to be able to add attachments.

    1. File > Print <br />
    2. There is a '''Print''' button in the Customize palette for the Toolbars. <br />
    https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/How+to+customize+the+toolbar
Considering that Firefox doesn't do email, that problem is probably caused by your webmail portal software not being totally compatible with Firefox. If you tell which webmail service you use maybe another user who is familiar with that service can help you.
