I can't download songs from Itunes with Iphone 5
Hi,
Just a quick and probably easy to answer question (im a bit slow with the apple thing)
when i log into Itunes from my Iphone 5, ALOT of the songs are greyed out & i can't download them...
Very few songs ARE available, but not many...
I've checked restrictions, backed up & restored through Itunes & downloaded the latest update...
anyone able to help me?!

Unless you have an Internet connection you cannot access iCloud. You can download your music from iCloud to store permanently on your iPhone, but only when you have an Internet connection to do so.

Can I download songs from iTunes used for my 80GB to a shuffle?
I want to know if I buy a shuffle can I download songs from my iTunes for my 80GB iPod? Will it mess anything up trying to download to the two separate devices? Also, can I upload my playlist from my 80GB iPod to another computer and then download from that computer to a shuffle?

timIn the simplest terms, one PC/Mac, many iPods.
Many PCs/Macs, then you must use manual mode.
The exception being the Shuffles. They only work with one machine at a time.

As far as I know you cannot drag & play from computer to iPods. Read the instructions in - Adding and Deleting Songs and playlists from your iPod and iPod Manuals

Problem downloading songs from iTunes to iPhone
I cannot download songs from iTunes into my iPhone. I was able to move about 10 songs but when I view them they are greyed out. I cannot manually move any songs. And if I attempt to drag and drop the iPhone will not accept them as the iPod will. Any suggestions? BTW I can move songs freely from iTunes to my iPod.

imho, the lack of manual music and video management
is a mistake. i've had 4 ipods over the years and have always used
manual mode. the playlist hack works okay
and is only mildly cumbersome.
however i tend to buy music from itunes both on my
imac at home and my pc at work. i've always simply
been to plug in my ipod to either computer and grab my
purchases, in either location. now, my iphone is "locked"
to my imac. i'm sure apple had a good reason to leave out
manual management, but i would suggest revisiting this
asap. -
Since I have the iPhone4S I can't delete songs from the iPhone anymore, which I downloaded with the iPhone. I sync the iPhone with my library. That works perfect. But than I want to delete the songs on the phone. That doesn't work. Can somebody tell me how I can delete those songs?
You have to uncheck what songs you don't want in iTunes. I don't think you could delete songs off the phone direct, unless you had I tunes match.

iTunes Match is ran strictly off of Wi-Fi or a Cellular connection. Devices with iTunes Match turned off can have both the computer and device without any connection to the internet to download music via USB. However, iTunes Match is ran off of iCloud—a Wi-Fi/Cellular based product.
If you would like to download a song on your device connected to the internet:
Make sure your device is connected to Wi-Fi or a Cellular Network.
Make sure your device is running iOS 5.0 or higher (only iDevices can run iTunes Match).
Go to "Music" and you will see music able to be downloaded from the cloud. (If you do not see your music, make sure you have General > Music > Show All Music "ON".)
Click the cloud symbol next to the songs you would like to stream them on your phone and without a Wi-Fi/Cellular connection.

Can't download songs from iTunes Store - Changed/Invalid Email??
This is probably a really stupid question, but I'll ask anyway. On my iPod Touch, running the latest firmware, I tried to download a song off the iTunes Store. It prompts me for my password and the account name it has listed is correct. However, I receive the following error:
Your email address has changed or is invalid. Go to the iTunes Store on your computer and update your Account info.
I'm at work now, so needless to say I don't have access to my home computer. I'm not sure why I'd be receiving this message as my iTunes account information hasn't changed in years and all my purchased music plays just fine on my Touch.
My email is a Yahoo account, however, I have my Mail client on the Touch set up to retrieve my DotMac account only. Is that perhaps an issue here? I wouldn't think so since I thought the Touch got the iTunes account info from syncing with iTunes on the host computer.
Is there any configuration that can be changed on the Touch to rectify this?

Well, to solve this problem you only need to connect your iPod to the computer. I'm not sure why this happened, but if your iPod have access to your iTunes Store account, then it will automatically update your missing info.
You just need to authorize your computer and connect your iPod.
So you have two options:
Do it when you arrive home, connecting it to your home computer;
or
Fist authorize your work computer, the connect your iPod. If you want, you can deauthorize this computer after finishing the process.
Unfortunately there's nothing you can do directly on your iPod Touch

I am constantly having issues with my itunes... trying to improve my music organization, and just making it worse. I just got itunes match and i like it so far, but I know that as soon as I am out of wifi/cellular conection, I won't be able to listen to my music. How can I download the music to my device, so I don't have to rely on a wireless connection. (I do lots of traveling.) This is concerning my Mac but more importantly my IPhone 5C.
On the iPhone tap the download button next to a song to download it. Or while viewing an Album or Playlist tap "download all."

Can't download songs from itunes match
Hi,
I have activated itunes match and since then all my problems started.
I have purchased the 2nd law from itunes and am trying to download the album to my iphone. Somehow only 3 songs have downloaded and have ben trying over and over to download the remaining ones. When i try the normal way clicking the download icon next to the album, the download signs appear next to the songs but they remain empty as if nothing is happening and it slows down the whole iphone. Coincidently the remaining songs to download are uploaded not matched in the library in itunes.I have tried playing the songs but it doesn't seem to help. Anybody has any hints on how to sort this out?
I might not be the biggest expert but i have to say that am a bit nostalgic of mobile me.did you find a solution to this? because i'm having the same problem.

I'm on a Mac OS X 10.4.11, using iTunes 9.2.1 (4) and Safari 4.1.3. This worked fine back in June, the last time I downloaded anything! Now I am again trying to purchase from iTunes store, and repeatedly getting the message, 'Session timed out. Try again.' Any ideas to resolve this? Thanks!

Trouble with downloading songs from itunes to iphone
I have purchased around 600 songs over the years many of them i had on an older ipod. I recently tried to download all songs to my iphone half of the songs downloaded to a playlist and most say "download error tap to retry, after several retry attempts it wont download. I have even opened my phone up to our home's wi fi....please help

Everytime I try to buy music from iTunes it says "A valid address is necessary to purchase using store credit". I alreday have everything set up.
Message was edited by: Arnaldo1287This has nothing to do with the iPhone; it means that your user profile is not complete in the iTunes store. Your address may be invalid, your credit card number (or gift card number), the CCV code of your card, the expiration date, etc. Once you correct whatever is wrong you will be able to purchase music.

Can you download songs from itunes on multiple devices?
I used itunes for some time but stopped several years ago. I never really had a lot of music, so when my HDD crashed about a year ago I didn't worry about it and thought everything was lost forever.
I recently purchased an iPad and iPhone and when I logged in lo and behold everything was there waiting to be downloaded - this is a far cry from what I remember, when if you lost something that was it, no second chances to download. I distinctly remember a headache due to a glitch where songs would show as purchased but failed to download, and I couldn't download them without paying again.
I guess something changed, correct? Or if I download everything to my devices will I get hit with charges for everything once again?Redownloading is a new capability of iTunes that was introduced when iCloud came around. Nice, huh? For more details see:
