I can't download the music I bought fron itunes to my ipod

i needd help.

Hello Marty,
Are you getting any error messages while trying to s ync this music over to your iPod?  How is your iPod set up to sync music?  What options do you have configured from under your iPod's Summary and Music tabs?
Is your iTunes library authorized to play and sync your purchased content?

Can you download the music to any mp3 player (not an ipod)?  If yes, how?

    Not using itunes.
You can use the music on other music players that support the format that itunes uses.
Consult the manual for instructions on how to put music on the player.

First, are you positive it is really not there?  Have you looked in your iTunes folder in your Music folder, and in the media folders there? Do you see your media files?
If your media are gone it is a lot easier to restore from a proper computer backup.  Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not a backup device and media transfer was planned with you maintaining a master copy of your media on a computer which is itself properly backed up against loss. Syncing is one way, computer to device, updating the device content to the content on the computer, not updating or restoring content on a computer. The exception is iTunes Store purchases which can be transferred to a computer.
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1848 - only purchases from iTunes Store
For transferring other items from an i-device to a computer you will have to use third party commercial software.  See this document by turingtest2: Recovering your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device - https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3991

  • Error can t Download the Music iTunes Match

Error can t Download the Music iTunes Match

Is it giving you a specific error number? And what kind of network connection do you have?
One thing you might try is a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the iPad shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the iPad back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps from the tray before doing the reset. Not sure it would help, but it will not hurt.

itunes is not recognizing my ipod.  there is no sync under file.  I need to download the music just purchased from itunes.
    can anyone help?

Do you see your iPod under Devices on the left side of the iTunes window in the source list when it's connect to your Mac?
BTW...  you sync iTunes media from the tabs in the iTunes menu, not from the File menu unless you are transferring iTunes purchases from the iPod to your Mac.
Might need to zoom to see this graphic. I have "Music" selected as an example.

    Hey charlie276,
Thanks for the question. If content that you purchased from the iTunes Store is not shown in your library, you can redownload them from your purchase history:

Apple is not obligated to allow you to re-download anything. If you lost or damaged a physical CD would you expect to have it replaced free of charge? Of course not. Backing up your iTunes library is your responsibility just like taking care of a physical disc. Contact Apple, explain your situation, and ask nicely. There have been reports of Apple allowing some users to restore their purchased music but there is absolutely no guarantee. Worst thing you could do is call Apple, make demands and get all outraged.

  • I can't get the music I bought while on my computer to transfer to my iPod touch. I synced it but nothing happened. The computer says my Ipod has all the music but the iPod says differently.

I can't get the music from my computer to my iPod touch. I put it in sync mode and the computer says it did the job and transferred the music correctly but the iPod says it doesn't have the music transferred.

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Unsync all music and resync
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

  • Where can i download free music that sync with itunes

where can i download free music that sync's with itunes ?

If you are using iTunes on a computer to sync to the iPhone, any tracks in an acceptable format will do. If you mean directly to the iPhone, you can't. it would need to come from the iTunes store exclusively. As for finding free music in general, try a Google search.

  • How can I get the music I bought on my computer sync on my ipod ?

    Hi !
I have a problem since yesterday. I have an iPod Touch 5 since christmas 2012.
I bought yesterday 2 full albums from iTunes on my computer, when i try to sync it nothing happens. Everything is synced (apps, other music for my computer, not bought on iTunes...) exept these 2 albums. Even the present of the day from iTunes (the 2 songs from justin timberlake...) have been synced without problems.
When i open on my iPod the iTunes Store, i can see all the songs, but there's an error in the loading of them : i select load on every song, but it stops immediately with an error message.
I tried to shut off my iPod and put it on again, nothing changed.
On my computer, i tried to put the songs in a list so that i can find them in my selection of lists, but when i sync it on my iPod, the list appears but empty.
My iPod is 5th generation, with the lattest update, and my iTunes too.
If you have any solution, i'll be very, very glad.
Sorry about my English, i tried my best to be clear, i' can explain it in french if it's better for you to understand.
    Thanks for any solution,
    Marion

  • Can't download the music I have already purchased

I purchased an album last night from the iTunes store, it charged me for it, and then gave me and "error (-50)". If i go to downloads I see all the music sitting there, but it won't let me download any of it because of the error. Its not just that album, i tried to download another song, it also didnt work, waited overnight thinking it was just iTunes, but nobody else seems to be having this problem. If i can't get my music then i want the 10 dollars they charged me for it back, any ideas? thanks

Yeah I know, i just found that and read it, but I wasn't downloading any video. I went ahead and tried to follow their steps on there for the video error -50, but it told me to go to "itunes music" then the "downlaods" folder, which I don't have =/ So I'm not sure, I just now emailed support about it.
