I can't download tv shows or rented movies. My iPad indicates that I have 1.3 GB available and even though the downloads are less than that, the movies and tv shows will not download and the message I get says I don't have enough available storage.
Also, I bought additional storage but it shows up in iCloud and does not alleviate the need for additional storage for videos. What can I do to get additional storage to download rented movies and tv shows?
In General you need 2 to 3 times the Space of the Download File size.
If you are getting the Not Enough Space message... you will need to Delete items to create sufficent space

What online service did you download the movie from? If it wasn't iTunes, you probably can't play it in iTunes (and iCloud doesn't store movies in either case).

I download and then drag the icon into the application folder. Then a message comes up saying I don't have permission or access to some of the items. I have no idea what that means. My computer is MacBook Pro operating system 10.6.7
If you have problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the DMG file to the desktop

I purchased a song on my iMac on iTunes and it plays on that but won't play on my macbook even though both computers are authorized under the same iTunes account. It says that i have to authorize my macbook and sign into iTunes, but then says its already authorized. How do I fix this?

If you authorize your computer to play your iTunes Store purchases, but you can't play them and iTunes keeps prompting you to authorize, try these suggestions.
Authorize your purchases from an administrator account
To authorize your purchases from an administrator account, follow these steps:
Log in to the administrator account.
Note: If you don't have access to an administrator password, you'll need to contact the administrator of this computer. If this is a work computer, this may be your IT department.
Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes installed. You can download the latest version free.
Choose Store > Authorize Computer.
Enter your iTunes account name and password.
Note: If you have multiple accounts, you'll need to log in to the iTunes Store and authorize each account separately.
Quit iTunes.
After you've authorized your computer on your administrator account, you'll need to log out and log back in to the user account you'd like to play your purchases from. Quit iTunes and any other open applications until only Finder is open.
Choose Go > Go to Folder.
Type /Users/Shared/SC Info and click Go.
If Finder is not already set to column view, set it by choosing View > as Columns.
Select the SC Info folder and move it to the Trash by choosing File > Move to Trash.
Restart the computer and open iTunes.
Authorize your computer to play your purchases. Note: If you have multiple accounts you'll need to authorize your computer for each account. For more information on how to authorize your computer, see this article.

Recently I've had trouble either when I try to login to facebook or after I've logged in. Usually, it's a page that says "access denied" and follows with a statement similar to not having permission to access facebook on this server. It doesn't happen every time but when it does I try various ways to get back to my facebook page...usually I can google facebook and login that way. Today it won't let me do that either. Does anyone know what this means? I don't know hardly a thing about computer technology so I don't even know where to start. Thanks!

Create a Bookmark for Facebook. Don't go via Google.
If you are using Safari... go to the Safari menu bar click Safari / Preferences then select the Security tab.
Click: Show Cookies
Delete all Facebook cookies.
Now from the menu bar again click Safari / Empty Cache.
Restart your Mac, launch Safari, try Facebook.
If you still have problems, quit Safari.
Open Keychain Access /Applications/Utilities
Select Passwords on the left.
Delete the Facebook and Safari Forms Autofill keychains. Now go to the menu bar top of your screen click Keychain Access / Keychain First Aid. Enter your admin password on the left then click Verify and Repair if necessary.
Relaunch Safari. Go to Facebook. Login with your user name and password. You should be prompted to save that data to a new keychain. Click Yes. -
The "Add-ons Manager" shows Java Platform SE 6 6.0.240.7 is enabled. But when I open certain websites the error message "We have detected that no Java Runtime is installed on your system or you are using an old version..." appears. But I can't see that it has any effect. It just delays the opening while the detection program runs. Something seems contradictory!
Have you tried installing the latest version of Java, there have been 2 updates since your version. You can get the latest version from http://java.com/

I have an IPOD Nano 4th Generation 8GB and am unable to restore it back to factory settings even when it is connected to my MAC. I have tried the menu/select hold but is not doing anything. When connected to the MAC and select restore in itunes it comes up with 'Firmware Corrupt'. It also states the IPOD is up to date. I have the latest operating system on my MAC and wonder if this may be part of the issue?
Can anyone shed light as to what i can do to reset it back to factory settings as would like to sell it and ensure it is ready for the new owner.

I have tried resetting network settings, resetting the phone and the PC, uninstalling iTunes, turning off the firewall and has no luck
Do this. Go to Apple menu / System Preferences / Network.
In the left column, click Wi-Fi. Next click Assist me, then Assistant. Follow the on screen instructions. -
I get an error on my iPhone saying that iCloud photo library storage has run out of space and it will stop uploading photos from my phone. However, my iCloud has 1.5gb of free storage and my photo library only has about 22 photos. So, what's happening here?

I bought an album off of iTunes using my phone and it refuses to download. I tried syncing my phone to my computer and the songs are in my library on my computer, but still will not download on my phone. I have also tried turning my phone off and on again, signing out of my apple ID and restarting iTunes. What should I do?

Can someone please help me? I cannot sync my phone with iTunes after updating the software, & my phone has no music. The message window keeps saying I don't have enough access privelages. It also won't recognize my new subscription to iCoud when I turn on iMatch in Settings. I have tried everything I can think of & am ready to throw this thing out of the window in frustration.
The music sync is one way - computer to iphone. The only exception is itunes purchases. File>Transfer Purchases
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for just such an occasion. Use your backup copy to move everything to your new computer. -
When ever I try to use foxfire to download a game or other file it starts like it's downloading, but when I go to open the file to finish it there is nothing there. It will not download. I do not understand why. Is there something I can do to fix this problem ?

Apple TV device will not download latest episode (dec. 2013)
I have bought several ongoing TV series. Last week episodes does not download to my Apple TV device. I see the new episode in my MacBookPro (iOS 10.8.5) Itunes (v. 11.1.3 (8)) and in my Iphone 5 (iOS 6...), BUT NOT in my Apple TV device.
I have restarted all devices (Mac, Iphone, Apple TV), I have done log on /off on all devices several times and the problem remains: last week's episode of 4 different series will not download. My Itunes ID is the same on all of them.
This has happened to me on several occassions already, each time something else solves de problem. I have been having the problem (again) since the last Apple TV software update (dec. 2013). It is usually after software updates that this type of problem appears.
What is going on? How do I solve it now? I have tried all the things that worked in the other instances, but nothing is working now.
