I can't download Xcode 6.1.1

Hello!
Please help me! I cannot download Xcode 6.1.1 version from the Mac App Store! How I can download it? I have a MacBook Pro 15 Retina and latest OS X Yosemite 10.10.1 has been installed ! I have been downloaded other apps from Mac App Store successfully, but Xcode gives only failed and stuck!
Thanks for looking!

Hi Amateur1,
I'm sorry to hear you are having issues with this download. I also apologize, I'm a bit unclear exactly what is happening or what you are seeing when you try to download XCode from the Mac App Store (stuck downloading, an error message, fails silently, etc). If you continue having issues, you may find some of the troubleshooting steps outlined in the following article helpful:

Xcode 4.6.3 can be downloaded from the Developer Downloads (you will need to be registered for access).

You need to upgrade your operating system; call 1-800-MY-APPLE, ask for an OS X Lion download code. It will be $29 or so.

  • Where can I download Xcode?

I have Mac OS X 10.7. I'd like to download Xcode, so I've been at
    http://developer.apple.com/support/xcode/
where it says "Xcode 4.2 for Lion is available as a free download from the Mac App Store. If you are registered as an Apple Developer, you can download Xcode 3 for free."
Then, I opened the Mac App Store, entered my Apple ID and password, and it said "This Apple ID has never been used in the iTunes Store. Verify your account information." and then asked for my credit card. Problem is that I have no credit card, therefore I can't access the store...
The XCode 3 link provided above does not work either, as it redirects to http://developer.apple.com/xcode/ which only displays information for Xcode 4 and gives no download link.
So where can I download Xcode from?

It mounts. Copied-and-pasted from the Terminal:
    md5 xcode_4.2.1_for_lion.dmg
    MD5 (xcode_4.2.1_for_lion.dmg) = 625969ef5bd2f1f7c7e1d401f7e642eb
    openssl sha1 xcode_4.2.1_for_lion.dmg
    SHA1(xcode_4.2.1_for_lion.dmg)= b3269d372b2fcc79655eab3505b2856f179cfda0
I also found this one, maybe it can help you.

Where can I download xcode for snow leopard?

I am a paid member of the developer program, and Xcode 4.2 for Snow Leopard does not appear in the downloads area. I just joined today and received email confirmation, but perhaps this update to my account has not worked its way through to Apple's back-end yet. Nevertheless, it appears that Xcode 4.2 for Snow Leopard is not available any more to anyone, whether they are paid members or not.

  • Can i download  xcode on windows

Can i download xcode on windows

    No.
You need a Mac (running a near current version of Mac OS X) to use a version of Xcode to develop software for the currently-sold Mac or iPhone or iPad. Xcode is an integrated development environment that includes compilers, utilities, System Libraries to link with your developed software, and simulators for recent iDevice Hardware.
However, if all you want is to run a gcc compiler, that can be run on any unix-compliant system or any old Mac. There may be different tools available that run directly on Windows.
If you have an old Mac, the gcc compiler may already be installed and ready to run under Terminal, but not the rest of the tools.

  • Can't download xCode - anyone else with this problem?

I have been trying for a couple of days now to download xCode from the Mac developer page. Each time I click on the download link I get shifted to a page that reports "technical difficulties." Has anyone else noticed this, or is it something in my computer or my log in or something similar?

You can obtain xCode from your OS X Snow Leopard install CD. Pop in the CD, when window pops up automatically, select "optional installs." xCode is available in them.

  • Where Can I download Xcode for 10.2.8?

I have been looking for a way to get an earlier version of Xcode. (That will run on 10.2.8) Could anyone tell me where I could find it?

    Hi,
    Welcome to the Apple Discussions.
First off, you can't use Xcode on 10.2.8, you need an earlier version of the developer tools. You should sign up for an online ADC membership. It's free.
Once you're signed up, there's a place at the ADC site where you can download the developer tools and such. I have a different level membership, so I don't know exactly what's available for ADC Online, but look at the Developer Tools page and look for the December 2002 Developer Tools. They're at the very bottom of that page in my accounts.
    best,

  • Can't download Xcode 6 beta 4 because of application memory!

I have a 2013 macbook air 13" and I want to download Xcode 6 beta 4 but the application memory fills up once it starts downloading. Soon the message appears and I have to close Safari! What I have done for other Xcode betas is to download it in another computer and then pass it to this one using a flash drive. I don't know if its a problem of the computer or if it is something else.

    Clayton,
there are different versions of Xcode that run on different versions of OS X. You’ll probably need to log in to the Mac Dev Center to find the particular version of Xcode that runs on Lion.

  • I had Xcode 5, then tried to update as part of regular sw updates. It didn't update properly, I deleted, in order to just download the 6.1 version and all I get is "Xcode failed to download. Use Purchase pages to try again." How can I download Xcode?

Downloading Xcode 6.1 to iMac 10.9.5.
I've done the steps on the Terminal involving: defaults write com.apple.appstore ShowDebugMenu -bool true
    Restarted computer.
Ejected other volumes on the iMac (external HD).
When trying to download from Purchases page, it ends about 90% complete with the message "An error has occurred."

You may have to try deleting all the music from your phone (by going to Settings>General>Usage>Music, swipping All Music and tapping Delete), then sync it all back on with iTunes in order to fix this.

  • I can't download Xcode off of the Apple Store

    Hi,
I am trying to download "XCode" onto my computer, an app that allows coding. It keeps saying that Xcode couldn't be downloaded on "Macintosh HD" because 10.8.4 or later is required. I tried seeing if I needed a software update and it says that my software is up to date. Please help! (My Mac is 10.7.5 and its saying that I'm up to date)
Please help!!! I need this app quick!!!

  • Where can I download Xcode Update 3.2.3?

I'd like to download this at work as the internet there is fast and free (at home I am on a monthly bandwidth deal). I've hunted and hunted, eventually ended up at a username / password entering loop on the Apple dev site (before I can get to the Xcode download page I have to enter my Apple ID and click Login, but it just takes me back to the main Xcode page which has the link to the download page on it, which takes me to the login page I just came from).
I just want to avoid downloading this 577MB update at home, is there a simple download link to it? I am not in the Apple dev programme and don't see why I should need to be as this is only an update to something that is already on my iMac.
    Thanks for your help!

What is offering you this software?
To access the "Mac Dev Center" at http://developer.apple.com/index.html, you must go through the sign in page, which very clearly says that you must be registered as a developer to continue. You do not need to pay for this, although currently the links on the sign in page don't make that obvious. Instead, go to http://developer.apple.com/programs/register/ as Dave Sawyer says & enroll for the free version of the program, which will link your existing Apple ID to that & let you get past the sign in page.
You won't get all the benefits mentioned at http://developer.apple.com/programs/mac/ for the paid versions but it is still worth it to sign up, if only so you can file bug reports, get immediate access to the online "Members Center," an occasional (but usually minor) pre-release software item, & stuff like that. Do be aware that there is an NDA involved as a condition of ADC membership, even for the free version.

  • I can't download Xcode even though I have enough space.

When I try to install Xcode, it tells me:
We could not complete your purchase.
There is not enough disk space available to install the product.
I am using a late 2008 Macbook with OSX Mavericks. I have about 5GB of space left and Xcode uses 2.18GB of space. Can you help me? Thank you in advance.

    5GB of space isn't enough.
The installer will need to expand files that will take up more space than the original download.
I have 5.26GB listed for the Xcode application alone - not including supporting files that may be installed elsewhere.
5GB is really too little space to leave for the OS to write it's caches & swap data, you should have at least 10GB free at all times IMO (ideally more like +20GB, and only if it's an SSD).
I think you need to make a copy of your disk & then remove files that you can live without.
