I can't enter to the Bios - Toshibe Satellite C55-B5287

Hello,
I could enter the Bios in the past, but after I installed a new windows, I can't enter to the Bios.
I tried to click F1-F12 (I know that I need to click F2 or F12, but those keys doesn't work).
I did a lot of tries, but it isn't working for me.
Someone know how to solve this problem?
P.S. - I have the minimum requirments for the game "Titanfall", but when I run it, it's working very slow...
I have another computer which has low Specifications more than this computer, and titanfall works like a charm there...
Why does it happen to me?
Thanks!

Try this. After starting the laptop so it's begun booting, hold the power button for 10+ seconds to force a hard shutdown. Hold the F2 key down and press the power button to start the computer again. Continue holding F2 even after you pressed the power button. It might take a couple tries.

  • Commands that can be entered in the 'Command Field'

    Hello All,
Does anyone know all commands that can be entered in the 'Command Field'.
I am interested in the commands that start with &. For example &sapedit, &vexcel, &vgrid; etc. (OR commands such as PRFB; etc.)
Just curious, where all these commands are stored?
    Thanks
    Naved

    Hi Nablan,
I tried your suggestion. I noticed that it lists some commands but not all.
Foe example, if I am in CMOD tcode; I clicked on GUI Status but nowhere I saw Command 'PRFB'.
According to a post in SDN, in CMOD tcode; by entering PRFB in the command field a list of all field exits are displayed.
Similary, in SE16n; there are field commands like &sapedit, &vexcel and &vgrid...
    Please shed light on this,
    Thanks

  • Only G/L accounts can be entered on the fast entry screen

We are currently upgrading our SAP environment from version 4.70 to ECC 6.0.  Our users are testing their Parked Document fast entry screen entries created through F-65 and when they attempt to "view" their entry on the Fast Entry screen, after entering their data, they receive the message "Only G/L accounts can be entered on the fast entry screen" (message FP032). The system will not let them post the entry. The account field in the original fast entry screen was limited to 6 numeric digits, which is the length of our GL accounts  and also the length of the account number used in the field when entering their posting.
I created a new fast entry screen layout for parked documents that opens up the field length to 15 characters and all works great.  But I would still like to know why the original fast entry screen posted the error on the fast entry screen for an account number with the correct amount of digits.
    Thanks,
    Mary Lauber

    Dear mary
Run program RFFAKP01 via transaction SE38. Enter program SAPLF040 / application PRPOS. Click on Execute.
This will regenerate the fast entry screen including your customized templates. And also, please check with O7E4/O7E5 to see if everything is set correctly.
If it helps please reward with points.

Also go to this path and check

Specifically look into the Administration Guide --> User Admin section on how to create a super admin user and disable sap*.

  • Known limit for how many characters can be entered in the To field when adding People and Groups ?

I am running MOSS 2007 SP1. I browse to site settings > People and groups and a group which has more than 60 members. I select all > Click Actions > Email Users. Nothing happens. I select less users, new outlook window comes up as it should. I am running outlook 2007. I first thought that the limit was 50 users, but different user selections let me select 51 users as well. I then concentrated on the character limit and I noticed that there were about 1580 characters in the To field when I selected 50/51 users.
Is there a known limit in sharepoint/outlook client for this function on how many characters can be entered in the To field?

    Hello Amar,
This is a by-design behavior, not from SharePoint side, but Internet Explorer. The limitation by the 2083 characters in IE for the Max URL length is described in the following KB article:
(KB208427) Maximum URL length is 2,083 characters in Internet Explorer
    http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;208427
As a workaround, you may need to divide the list up and not send all the email at the same time. Hope it helps!

Instructions for changeing to from Windows 8 to windows 7.
    INSTRUCTIONS:
First - Burn recovery media before you make any changes! -You may want or need to go back to windows 8 later-
Update BIOS to newest bios version, the C55 and possibly other models will not support CSM boot mode with the older bios versions.
    Second -
Important Bios changes when changing from Windows 8 to Windows 7:
Completely shut down laptop (Shut down Windows 8 while pressing the Shift key to completely power off.) then restart computer and hold f2 when the screen goes black and wait for the bios setup utility to launch.
Select advanced, then system configuration, then boot mode
UEFI and CSM or legacy  (UEFI for Windows 8 and CSM or legacy for windows 7)
For windows 7 change to CSM or Legacy mode.
Third - Also in bios setup utility select - Security, then Secure Boot, then you have to disable secure boot for windows 7.
You will need to delete all partitions before installing windows 7 this is done forth step.
Forth - Insert your windows 7 disc and select custom install, your partitions should show up - click on each one and below you will see advanced drive options, click that and you will have options to format - format each one, then delete each one. You will be left with one raw partition, select to install and windows will do the rest while installing the operating system.
    Fifth - install drivers
    Installation order is important:
Install chipset driver then video driver before other drivers. Then install Toshiba Value added package before other applications

  • SLow WIFI toshiba satellite C55-a and windows 8

Hi I recently bought a new laptop toshiba satellite C55-A with windows 8 on it. My older laptop runs super fast with my WIFI internet. The new one goes like SLOW like hell. I mean I have 10 MB internet and it goes like 500 K Please I am really tired of looking on Internet to fix a problem of a NEW computer. Plus, once I plug my computer with the Internet wire it RUNS on 10 MB! THANK YOU!

Hello!  I also recently purchased a Toshiba Satellite C55t-A.
We have a desktop computer that is about 3 years old and another laptop that is about 6 years old.  We have an apple Ipad and 2 cell phones with wifi.  All of these devices work with our WIFI from our cable internet at high speeds.
This new computer is so slow using Wifi that it isn't really feasable to use it for surfing the web.
It has ran slow on WIFI straight out of the box...nothing has changed on it.  We perhaps should have returned it, but it was purchased for a specific project we needed it for on a time deadline, so it was too inconvenient to return it.  After using it for the project, it was past the return date.
Anyways, I am hoping this is fixable...we would like to be able to use the laptop for online work.
This problem isn't related to the position in the house (walls or distance) or the integrity/age of the router.  All other devices work at different points throughout our home with the current router.  This is the only computer that will not run at an acceptable WIFI speed.
We also cannot restore the computer (it worked this way out of the box and there are too many files (hours of work) that we can't lose.
Please, I would appreciate if there is any info that could help me.  I suspect some type of driver or software that came installed on the laptop must not be compatible with our router.
    Thank you!
    Mary

  • T540p can't get into the BIOS

Has anybody found the solution? I get the splash screen inviting me to press enter but when I do that it just continues to boot into Windows 8.1. I see on here that there are many references to several TP models having this problem but I haven't found a solution for my 540p. I have checked the BIOS updater which says I have the latest. I have tried various combinations of key presses as an alternative to pressing Enter but nothing has worked so far. Any help gratefully received.

  • ROOT can't enter in the database

    Hi.
I have a problem: I need to install a oracle 9i database to a client and configure it. Then, the client will administer the DB and I'll only make the full offline backup. I'll have the root password, but the client wants a way that me, with the root password, can't connect in his database.
How I can ensure it to him? If I do a su -oracle I'll can enter in the database with external authentication (connect /); I can copy the pwd file, changes the sysdba password with internal user, connect at the database as sysdba and after rollback the pwd file.
    How I can solucionate it?

There's not a way to do this that I know of. Like Tim said it comes down to a matter of trust. It doesn't matter what database you're using,
Oracle, DB2, SQL Server... if you have the root/administrator account you can get into the database. If your client doesn't feel they can
trust you with the root password then they need to find someone they can trust.
Having said that, if you're client trusts no one I suppose the client could allow you root access for the install and then change the root
password after the install. This way the client knows you can't access the database while they're not watching you and you can ask
for their permission each time you need the use the root account. As far as I know you only need the root account to install the Oracle
software. Depending on if you're using OS or database authenication to access the database a user only needs the OSOPER or
SYSOPER role to backup a database. Here's what those roles allow a user to do:
Permits the user to perform STARTUP, SHUTDOWN, ALTER DATABASE OPEN/MOUNT, ALTER DATABASE BACKUP, ARCHIVE LOG,
and RECOVER, and includes the RESTRICTED SESSION privilege.
This means you could create another OS user account and use that for the Oracle backups. What this means for backing up UNIX
system files I don't know, I'm not a sys admin. I would think you'd still need to back up all system files using the root account.
Even if I have the ability to backup the database only what prevents me from restoring it on another server where I do have root access?
I could then su to the oracle account on the server I restored the database to and access the database. Better not tell the client about that!
Excuse my sarcasm, it's not directed at you. I just think your client has unreal expectations if they expect you to install and backup their
    database but can't trust you.

  • Can't create the diskette for updating the BIOS on Satellite 1800-712

I was given a Satellite 1800-712 with bugged BIOS (the power went down while reflashing) So now when the notebook is switched on a sign shows
BIOS (Block2) is damaged! (Call your serviceman)
    and so on...
I've downloaded the latest bios for the notebook, but when I try to follow the instructions given (unzip, insert a formated 1.44mb disk, start the *.exe file and a 1.44mb should be created) nothing happens. When I run the exe (chgbiosa.exe) if I'm running windows xp nothing happens, and if I'm running DOS says "Initial Error".
In the Archive of the bios is a readme. It says that I should copy the files (BIOFC72T.COM and CHGBIOSA.EXE) to a 1.44mb floppy disk. Well it doesn't help either.
Any ideas what should I do? Thanks in advance.

    Hi
I found this thread in the forum:
    http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=19801&messageID=72625
The case described in the thread above is very similar to your issue.
According to this message every newer BIOS has a protection mechanism which means that even in case of an incomplete flashing procedure, the responsible area in the BIOS-flash for the upgrade is never deleted.
So usually you should contact the service point in you country to solve this problem but maybe the description in the other thread will help you.
But you know, everything what you do is at you own risk
