It's possible that when you dragged those "non-iTunes" files on the iPod to the Trash, you did not empty the Trash. At least on a Mac, if you do that, the files are still on the iPod's disk (not visible) taking up space as "Other." You may need to connect the iPod with disk mode enabled, then empty the Trash.
Or, if you don't mind erasing it completely, you can do a Restore on the iPod in iTunes. The Restore button is on the iPod's Summary screen in iTunes. That will erase the iPod, re-install its software, and set it to default settings. That should clear up the data under "Other."

Your iMac comes with AirPort Utility (in /Applications/Utilities). You can open it from the Launchpad by going to the "Utilities" or "Other" folder

How can I export a keynote proyect to a movie?

I am making an assigment for the university and I don't know how to export a keynote presentation to a movie, ( with short videos and narration inside of it ).
I tried quicktime export and it didin't work , the whole timing thing was awful!
I really need this presentation to be exported into a DVD or a CD or anything so I can give it to my guide teacher...

This is a well known problem with Keynote 6.1, the only thing you can do is use Keynote 5.3 instead, if you have it.
Meanwhile sit back and wait to see if Apple issues a fix in the schedule of updates they said they would issue during 2014.

Can't export with Flash Builder using Android 4.3

Just installed Android 4.3 and now I can't export from Flash Builder to my Android device. Also some of my previously installed Flex apps will not run. Anyone else seeing this? Any clues or answers???

It seems as though, there might be another bug with AIR and Android 4.3
If you use application scaling (applicationDPI) and css media queries.
When deployed on the device (Galaxy Nexus) 160 dpi is always fired, rather than 240.

Got Motion 4? A couple of the LiveFonts in M4 or LiveType can create that effect easily, but all that is gone in Motion 5.
In Motion 5, you have to basically fake it.
I'd like to offer this approach as the easiest to implement.
Add a Camera (switch project to 3D).
Create a line of text. (In the inspector, Text > Format > Advanced Formatting, check All Caps and set All Caps size to 100%)
Pick a Monospace font (Monaco, Courier, Andale, Menlo - or find and install one that looks more like you want.)
To the line of text, add Behaviors > Text Energetic > Flip In (you can work on Flip out afterwards - same basic steps)
To the Behavior, use the Parameter > Remove button to remove Face > Blur and Outline > Blur (or just set both to 0%)
Twirl down the Rotation and set the X Rotation to -360 (instead of the default 360 - it's flipping the wrong direction for what you want)
[Optional: Parameter > Add > Format > Character Offset -- set it to about 6 -- this will "randomize" the characters as they animate "in"]
Set the playhead to about half way through the animation so you can see some flipping characters
Go to the Text > Layout pane in the inspector
Under Behavior Controls, Anchor Point - click on the Position disclosure triangle and adjust the Y value up until the flipping characters line up to the midpoint of the character.
Play.
With the Flip In behavior selected in the Layers list, adjust the end point to adjust the speed (optional).
You can combine this with Flip Out and timing other text overlaid at the same location to create in/out transitions between texts (old text Flips Out while new text Flips In...).
Build a background to create the "board" with outlines and shading. Line up the texts in space so that they just overlay the background graphic (use Position > Z parameter or set up the graphics to be just below the text in the layer list. In a 3D project, the letters will rotate "through" the solid background.)
At this point, I'll have to leave the rest up to you. You'll be going for an optical illusion basically. If it animates quickly enough, I doubt most people would notice the difference.

How can I export/share a project/movie with iMovie 10(.0.1)?

Hi,
I generate a movie with images from iPhoto and underlaid a sound file. In iMovie the film looks great and now I want to share/export it. But the share button doesn't work: I click on it and nothing happens – no submenu, no window, nothing. It seems there is missing a function behind the menu item.
I closed iMovie, restart it – nothing.
I shut down the Mac and reboot it – nothing.
I deleted the preferences after closing the app and restart it – nothing happens.
What can I do?
This happens with image movies AND with clip movies generated with iMovie.

I will uninstall the imovie app using the mackeeper uninstaller, but wanted to ask if I trash /delete all the files
when I do this? When it scans my computer it says I have two versions of imovie and other files as well.
Just wanted to check if I will still have my trailer left in my user file on the computer.
Sorry to bug you, but I spent alot of time doing it and dont want to lose the work . So want to be sure I am doing it the right way!

Can I export/share a line file from free CC as pdf or illus cs2 file so client can view/edit?

I can't find a clear answer to this really simple question so I hope someone here can help me.
I haven't purchased my ink and slide yet, or used any of the creative cloud software. Before I do I want to make sure I understand what I can share with Line and the free level of CC. I want to use them for a particular client who is still old school. So... If I have a drawing created in Line on my ipad and a client with an older macbook pro, still running CS2 (so osx 10.6.8), and I have an ipad with Line and a free Creative Cloud membership (but no CC versions of Adobe software other than Line), is it possible to:
send her a pdf she can open and print?
send her a file she can open/edit/print in CS2?
send her anything she can open and/or edit and/or print?
Print something I can mail to her.
I guess I'm basically asking: what are my limitations for sharing/printing Line drawings with only the free CC membership?

Short answer is No.
Be aware the free level of CC is for CCStorage only. Although they don't mention it you need a Creative Cloud Subscription (which includes all their pro desktop applications) to export Vectors.
If your friend has a CC subscription you might ask her to log in using her details and transfer the files that way

i can only find export audio under the "share" menu
and it has aiff,aac and mp3, no wav or omf and no options to include as multi tracks rather than a single stereo track or 5.1 surround
do you guys know of a way to export multiple tracks? without muting every track and export numerous times of course

Have actually done that and sent a test piece to the broadcaster. Not sure if I have got the audio tracks in the right order.... from top to bottom would that be audio tracks 1-4, with four at the bottom? I am waiting to hear back from the broadcaster to see if the test piece works as they expect it to.

I would like to share my raw video footage-- "events" in iMovie-- with a colleague so she can use it for her own projects. At a one-to-one appointment last week, the trainer told me the only way to share it was to save it to an external hard drive. She said the hard drive would appear in the events window and then I could just drag the events onto the drive. I just bought a drive, plugged it in, and it appears in the events window, but iMovie won't let me drag the events onto it. I can't figure out a way to move the events over to the hard drive. I'm not using Time Machine because I only want to copy the video footage and my colleague uses a PC.

Update: I reformated the hard drive to be just for Mac, and I could drag the events over.
So is there a way to save the events to a hard drive formated for BOTH Macs and PCs?

How can I un-share media categories using Home Sharing & Apple TV?

I just got an Apple TV device, which is working wonderfully so far.
I would like to only share the category MOVIES with my Apple TV, and disable my music, home movies, podcasts, etc. I am having difficulty seeing how to change this preference.
I see in the iTunes/Preferences/Sharing there is a way to limit what portions of the library can be shared, but I do not see a similar preference for limiting what is shared in Home Sharing.
Is what I want to do possible? Thanks in advance. C

Can't export/share project. share halts/freezes at 5%

My version of final cut pro does not have a share tab at the top thus I have to share > master file through the file tab. Each time I attempt to share it only reaches 5% complete before freezing. I have attempted many different variables and am thinking maybe theres an issue with the files I imported.
they are mostly mpeg 4 and some are protected mpeg 4s. please help, thank you.

Select the media in the browser, right-click and use transcode media. It will need a great deal of drive space, about 10 times more than the original.
Before that you should try switching off background rendering and trashing the existing render files.
