I can't find a serial number to adobe x?
I currently have adobe x installed on my machine and downloaded XI to upgrade. I know have an error message saying "serial number you provided is valid, but a qualifying product could not be found on this computer." I didn't have an account until i just downloaded the new software so how can i find the serial number?
First of all, this is the Adobe Reader forum. I'm assuming you're talking about Adobe Acrobat, as Reader is free...
To install an upgrade version you must have a full license of a (qualifiying) earlier version. If that version is not installed on your computer at the time you're installing the upgrade, you have to provide it with the s/n of that version. If you don't have such a version you can't use the upgrade installation. You'll need to exchange it for the full retail version.

What computer operating system is involved here?
Did you ever install Premiere Elements 11 on your computer?
If so, then go to the Adobe web site http://www.adobe.com, sign in with your Adobe ID and Password, go to the Search field (top right of the web page) and type in My Products. Follow the My Products link to the list of your registered products. If you find your Adobe Premiere Elements 11 listed there, click on it to reveal the serial number.

I don't know if this is the right place to ask this, but the website recommend I ask here. I bought the CS4 when I bought my macbook pro in when I was in college. I remember there being 2 serial numbers, so I could install to one other computer. That macbook pro finally died, and now I have a new mac which I am trying to re-install the creative suite on, only I can't find the serial number. The two stickers on the back of the CS4 box (which i thought were the serial numbers) don't look like that they're asking for, and the website listed on the inside of the box for me to register to doesn't recognize my e-mail (which hasn't changed since buying CS4). Any idea where I could find the serial number?

The serial number was included in the box ARD came in; the Apple Store will not have a record of it. If you've lost the serial number, you'll need to purchase a new copy of ARD, probably a good idea anyway since 2.2 won't run on any version of Mac OS X since, if memory serves, 10.4. It's a lot cheaper through the Mac App Store than it was back when you first purchased.

What To Do If Your iDevice Is Lost Or Stolen

Hi memorse414414, Your Adobe ID will suffice for activation. For subscription, the installer would validate from the server using your Adobe ID.
