I can't find my work on my Timeline!

Help! I can't find all the work I have done. I did work and saved it and when I open it up now it just comes up with the viewer and browser. It has everything in the browser that I need, but the timeline doesn't come up. When I go to windows the timeline part is not highlighted. How do I find my timeline with all my work on it!!!!!

But I am not looking for each of the sequences themselves. I already had a timeline that had several sequences, pictures, and songs already on it. That is what I cannot find. I'm sorry if I am not making sense. It is the final product that is on the timeline, the culmination of all the work sequences, pictures, songs etc. I don't know where that timeline went.

Macbook Pro can't find properly working Airport Express network

I have an Airport Express that's set up and working properly, and my Mac Mini and my iPhone both find the airport network, but not my MacBook Pro. The MacBook pro is even closer to the Express than the Mini is, and it finds many available airport networks (from the neighbors), but not my own network that the other units find without a problem - my own network just isn't listed among the others on the MacBook Pro, and Airport Utility on the MBP can't find the Express either. I've obviously tried restarting everything, as well as resetting the Express and setting it up again (which works just fine from the other two units), and I've tried creating a new user account on the MBP and check from there, but no go. The MBP runs the latest version of Snow Leopard and works just fine with other Airport Networks (at work, or one of the neighbors networks even), so it shouldn't be faulty hardware. At some point it's time for a Lion update for the MBP and then we'll see if it's some weird system software error that gets resolved in the process. But until that happens … what else could I try?
I'm thinking maybe this is some 802.11 b/g/n malfunction? The Express is an old g, the iPhone is g only, and the Mini is an old g as well, but the MacBook Pro is newer and supports n … but it should of course still be able to switch down to g and find the **** network (or the Express when running Airport Utility).

Well, I can't delete the wireless connection since it doesn't really exist (on the MacBook Pro). Had the Express in my office, but brought it home, and reset it there and created a new network using the Mac Mini, so the MacBook Pro had never been connected to that newly created airport network. But I did delete a lot of old saved connections, some of which were from when the Express was used in my office. This was however, before I read your reply here, so I didn't also erase the passwords from the keychain, however. But still no go; the MacBook just wouldn't list the new network among the available ones, or list the Express in the Airport Utility.
But then … last night, for no apparent reason whatsoever, suddenly everything just works.
In trying to wrap my head around this, and learning from it. Is it even possible for an old network used on an Airport device to interfere with a new network created by the same device? What I mean is, does the computer identify the airport by some sort of serial number or something, regardless of the network created by the airport? So that when a computer should be looking for a new and current network on an airport device it instead looks for an old network it has previously been connected to on that same airport device? Assuming the old network should still exist on that same device, and therefore skipping to look for a new network on the same device? I mean that would suck, but if that's the case then at least I'd know to always erase all traces of any old connections for a specific device in a case like this. ;-)

Can't find my working wired telephone in device list

I have the ea4500 N900 router running version 2.1.39.145204.
I use a ooma (ooma.com) telephone box that connects to the router (wired) It does not show up in the device list, I do not see the mac address on the list but the phone works. at one time I did see the telepone listed and I prioritized it. When I could not login to my router I was forced to reset the router and every thing is back but I can't find the telephone box or any indication that it is connect but it is working
the reason I'm interested in finding and being able to prioratize the phone, I can no longer fax which before was never a problem.

Did you set a static IP address on the VoiP device? If so, it might up appear in the device list. This is ok if you have a static IP address ON the VoIP device. I recommend that you input this IP address into the routers DMZ so the VoIP gets all services it needs with out any router processing as it doesn't need any processing which may cause connection problems on the VoIP device.

Can't find the work space in CS4

That's usually a sign that your document is off screen. That can happen when you had been using an external monitor that is no longer connected to the computer, or when you drastically change your monitor's resolution.
Re-creating/re-setting/deleting your Photoshop preferences will fix that.
To re-create the preferences files for Photoshop, start the application while holding down Ctrl+Alt+Shift (Windows) or Command+Option+Shift (Mac OS). Then, click Yes to the message, "Delete the Adobe Photoshop Settings file?"

Indesign suddenly can't find previously-working fonts

I've been using Indesign CS3 (5.0) and Suitcase Fusion (12.1.7) happily for about a year and a half with little to no issues. Now suddenly I'm having some issues with Indesign documents I've worked on fine in the past couple months. Specifically, I've been using the GillSans family in a series of ads and everything was fine until about a week ago. Now suddenly when I open any of the ads, I'm told that GillSans and GillSans Light can't be found and Indesign shows all the text with that lovely "missing pink" shade all the other subsets of GillSans like Bold, Condensed, etc. still work fine.
I know for a fact the GillSans family is activated in Fusion, including the two Indesign says are missing. I've also tried removing and replacing my GillSans files with another coworker's and re-installing them in Fusion, and Indesign still says they're missing.
Additionally, I've run FontDoctor on the GillSans folder and it doesn't find any issues. I've also tried moving the GillSans fonts over to my main /Library/Fonts folder and again, Indesign can't seem to "find" them.
So as far as I can tell, everything should be working fine and, yet, it's not. Any ideas on why a couple subsets of my GillSans font would suddenly not be recognized? If they were corrupt I would think either Fusion or FontDoctor would pick up the problem; I'd also think replacing them with someone else's entirely different GillSans files should fix any corruption, so I'm at a loss as to what to do.

Interestingly enough, there doesn't seem to be a single dfont for GillSans anywhere on my system.
Additionally, I just noticed that Indesign is asking for GillSans (TT), but it looks like all the GillSans we have on the computers here are marked as Post Script odd, considering the fonts used in the Indesign document were at one point working correctly.
(UPDATE) After looking a bit into .dfonts and seeing that my system for some reaosn *didn't* have one, I copied over the GillSans.dfont from another Mac to my /library/fonts folder and that seems to have solved part of the problem: GillSans (TT) appears to be working fine now, but GillSans Light (TT) isn't. That's something, at least. ;)

Can't Find Custom Work Manager For Resource Adapter

I'm creating an inbound resource adapter and wish to throttle the number of connections via a custom work manager.
If I understand the BEA docs, I can declare and define a resource adapter's work manager inside of its entry in weblogic-ra.xml .
For example:

Well, I did it again. Solved my own problem two hours after I posted it. Which, I guess, is better than not solving it.
I mistakenly thought that the <work-manager> entry in weblogic-ra.xml is a declaration. It is apparently a reference.
I declared a WorkManager of the same name in the WLS 9 console, restarted the server, and it appears that I am now using the custom work manager.
The max-threads constraint also works.

HELP!!! I can't find my work

During the process of editing clips in iMovie, the external firewire drive containing the movie came unplugged and when I quickly secured the plug and tried to save my work, the computer would not respond. Luckily, I felt better because I had just saved my work a few minutes earlier. When I got the drive re-mounted and opened the file, NONE of the edited clips were present and all of the remaining clips had been moved to the trash. I am currently running Data Rescue II in an attempt to recover 2 days worth of editing, but I need some advice in case that does not work

In Lion and Mountain Lion, an alternative way to open your user Library folder (to access the Preferences folder), is to click and hold down Go in the Finder menu bar and then press and hold down the Option key on the keyboard. The Library folder will appear in the drop-down menu. Slide the pointer down until Library is highlighted. As you release the mouse button, the Library folder will open.

Sounds like the player that you bought was not purchased as new. Have you tried to contact Creative customer service to see if they might be able to supply you with a copy of the operating instructions? You probably don't need a CD since the player works as a USB mass storage device.

There are two good ways to get contract work for programming with LabVIEW:

How can I find an erlier version of the Netflix iPad app compatible with 1st generation iPads?

I have 2 first generation iPads. One has an early version of the Netflix app that is compatible with the ios, the other does not have the app. When I try to download the app to the second iPad, I get nowhere becuse the only thing offered requires an ios that is beyond that supported by my iPad. I can't find a work around and I am not offered the option to download early versions of the app.

I believe the prompt will only appear if you already have the old version installed and an update is presented, though I could be mistaken. Have you looked in the Purchases area of the App Store app when signed in using the account under which you downloaded the old version to see if the old version still appears there?
If not, do you have the old version in iTunes on your computer, or if not is it still on that other iPad. If so, you should be able to get it into iTunes and from there sync it to the second iPad.

Where can I find out how much a Skype Number costs...

So, I get an email on Skype numbers. I click because I am interested and all I get in a bunch of fluff about how great it is. There is nothing that I can find about cost, anywhere. Is it under prices? No, or at least I did not that I see after clicking on every single option.
What is Skype hiding? The information should be there after I click from the email or at the very least after one additiona click. I shouldn't have had to go here to the community board to find out, and yet the only search that generated the information was the one here on the Community Board.
Enough of this manipulative crap. Skype needs to honest. Because of Skype's lack of transparency -- that i cannot be sure what I am buying -- my opinion of Skype is the lowest possible.
