I can't find the color I used

Some time ago I made website buttons. I now need to change the text on top of one of the buttons, but I can't figure out the exact color I used. The dropper does not pick the original shade. It seems to be off. The button was rasterized and saved as a JPEG. The original PSD file is gone. I hope I don't have to redo 11 buttons just because I can't find the original color. Can anyone help?
I attached a copy of the button. It is the blue color on top and not the rollover color I need to find.

The problem comes from the fact that the text is small and there's a lot of JPG artifacting. Even if you find the original color, it will still look off compared to the other buttons while in Photoshop because of the lack of JPG artifacting. You'll likely have to preview the colors using File->Save for Web & Devices set to JPG and a low quality setting.

Did you tap in the box at the bottom of iMessage?

The ProgressBar error - Can't find the __package__.js - Used to work fine

Yesterday I created a page with some progress bar on it using the BluePrints components and it worked great. Today I come to work and nothing works. I used the HTTP monitor to study the requests and I got what you see below.

and I did it but it still gave this:

So does anyone have an idea what is going on here? Because I spent 8 hours on this with no result.

The first time I used the progressbar this was all I had in my web.xml

After it gave me all those problems with the __package__ thing so my web.xml ended up like this

I had the same problem for the last 2 weeks and today it just started working with nothing changing. I've also read reports of others having it just start working today. Give it a shot again. I think it was a problem that AT&T sorted out.

Can we find the auth method used after a user has authenticated ?

When a user is authenticated to an SAP ABAP system, they can use a userid and password, SNC or an SSO2 ticket. Is there a report, or some other way to get a list of user authentications over a period of time (e.g. during last 7 days) and indicate whether the user has authenticated using SNC, using an SSO2 ticket or via a SAP userid and password ?
I hope the answer is yes, but so far I have been unable to find a way to do this.

I am not too worried about the points, but to help you close the thread...
I assumed at the time that you were wanting to reconstruct some event, so you have already interogated the available audit logs and server statistics? There are already reason codes and logon types available there. Did they not help you further?
That you have asked again, indicates that you are looking for a reporting / analysis possibility for when users have more than 1 way of authenticating, and you want a monitoring possibility to see which they are using. Is that correct?
I have an idea for how you could do that, but am not sure whether it would work or be supported. If you are interested, then I will contact you and if it works without any side affects, then we can share it here. If it doesn't, then just think of it as one of the not-so-good ideas which also did not get any points (correctly so)...

It would helpful to indicate what information from the previous postings were confusing; where you need more help. This topic area does get somewhat complex, and there are technical terms which might not translate all that well into English, much less into another language, unfortunately.
Apple has available documentation for OS X Server, and that's a good starting point for an overview and for learning the server and its various services.
In general, get local IP networking going, then configure the OS X Server DNS server, and only then start activating and configuring and testing other services as necessary. Once you get the local network stable and working, only then will you want to set up the port forwarding and external (public) DNS services for remote access into your server.
As an alternative, various Apple Stores have classes on various topics as well as specialists that can answer various questions; see what the local store is offering for OS X Server. It can also sometimes be expeditious to have somebody set it up for you.

Many things can only be gray. Grayscale images, Channels including Alpha Channels and Layer mask. Posy a screen capture of your problem.

Why can’t I find the color profile info in the library ?
It’s sometimes necessary to convert to sRGB for some applications ( internet, some beamers in clubs,…).
I convert them but afterwards it is nice to have the possibility to check this out and should be possible in lightroom, the info is present why not showing it ( it is not so easy to go in finder and look at it in info for every image)?
Since I’m always working in Adobe profile for printing and so this is important to know !

The disconnect here is many (including me) don't reimport rendered JPEGs
into our Lightroom Catalogs. Why you are doing that is beyond me. You
have the original and can recreate any rendered file at any time.
Storing the derivative JPEGs is redundant, creates additional confusion
and serves little real purpose. Exported versions are considered
discarable by many.
Yes, understand what you're meaning. but the fact is that I started rather recently with lightroom. So my images where classified in directory's and subdirectory's...already.
I think that this is the major problem. This is always a problem when you step in a new system.
Let's say I am going to submit to a photographic society, I have an Export
preset created that exports to proper size and color space for
projection. It creates a file. I send it to the club. Then I delete it.
Why save it? I can recreate it. Then I don't have to manage it, search
for it, or worse yet, risk confusion with my original file or othe
resultant derivatives.
The fact that I like to keep them is
indeed an inborn result of the "pré-lightroom period". A bad habitude
indeed. I'm thinking now of deleting them, will maybe better. On the other side
I still have them just for me in order to know which ones I used and when.
Another bad habitude.
But
since I'm not a professional photographer I'm mostly confronted with the time
issue and it is for me easier to take existing files ready for use...

Today place for jpeg's is rather easy since the Gb's are almost free...
Same is true of a client photo. They want an 8x10. I go to the retouched
original, create a JPEG from an 8x10 preset in the proper dimensions and color space. Send it to the lab. Then, I can delete it.
One of the strengths of Lightroom is that it creates many fewer
intermediate file versions along the way toward final creation. Another
strength is that you can save (via snapshots in Develop) your
derivatives, export, and discard them without having to create, import
and manage additional files on disk. In the old days of just Photoshop
you might end up with a dozen or more files on your disk for every
worked file. With Lightroom, you only need one or two.
Will look deeper in your proposed workflow...and yes I'm comming from the old days.
That said, if you want to keep the derivatives for purposes down the road,
that is up to you but I don't understand why they need to be inserted
into your catalog.
Since my catalog is made in the time
from before lightroom I’m still having all these directory's and
subdirectory's...
Easier
for me since even with back-ups of the catalogue still afraid for crashes. And
I keep liking these directory structure because for the moment it's lighrtroom
and tomorrow it can be another program, you never know. It's like a website, "on line versoin only", big problem when a firm at some moment stop to provide this possibility.
I think I will try to go deeper in "how to use lightroom better..."

My external hard drive is 'seen' by my iMac and I can go into the Finder and open files and folders. I am using the hard drive for Time Machine back up. However Time Machine says it can't find the drive. Same thing has happened with Final Cut Express.

The same thing happened recently between Final Cut Express and my other LaCie external hard drive used as the Scratch disk. It fixed itself.

You cannot have time machine backups on your hard drive if you intend to use it in FCPX.

Nevermind - I answered my own question, which is I CAN"T READ ANY BOOKS I purchased in iBooks on my MacBook Pro. If I want to read on my mac I have to use Kindle or Nook. Which means any book I've already purchased through iBooks has to be read on my iPad. Kind of a drag because there are times when it's more convenient for me to read while I'm sitting with my Mac.

How to stop iTunes creating a new library on my hard drive when it can't find the one I have created and told it to use on an external drive?

I have quite alot of music etc so to save hard drive space I have created my iTunes library on an external hard drive. If I ever accidentaly open iTunes when that external hard drive isn't attached iTunes makes a whole new library from scratch on my computers hard drive. I find this highly frustrating as I often open Itunes to find no music as it have changed librarys and I have to re-load my actual library: very frustraiting and time consuming.
I would like to know if it is possible to lock iTunes some how to stop it from changing folders when it can'f find the library, or atleast give me a warning that it can't find the library before creating a whole new one????

Tunes works through a database file which has a list of your tracks. When you click on a track it looks up in the database which file it needs to play, then plays the file. If something breaks this link then you get ! The two main ways to get ! are to move a file from where iTunes expects it to be, or to delete it altogether. I don't know which has happened in your case. You can try using Spotlight to find a file for the one referred to in a broken link. If the files have been moved then they need to be moved back. If they were deleted completely you will have to restore them from a backup or download them again from the iTunes Store and rebuild your library.
