I can't find the Scroll Lock button on my notebook

was in a program when something happened to the box I had up on screen, was told to hit the scroll lock key, but I can't find the scroll lock key - can anybody help me??

Hi I was out in the world when I ran into the "No Scroll Lock" key / function on mt HP DVP Laptop. Really, HP could not add a ctrl + function key for this?
There is an easier solution than hooking an external keyboard, especially if you are not in the home/office.
USE THE WINDOWS ON SCREEN KEYBOARD! I found this on another post on the HP board. In Windows 7 you can easily find the On Screen Keyboard by pressing the windows globe on the bottom right corner that brings up your 'Start Menu" and type in "On Screen" in the search box at the bottom. You should see "On Screen Keyboard" app come up at the top. Alternately, go to Control Panel, Ease of Access, and you will see "Start On Screen Keyboard". Once enabled when you select the on screen application it comes right up. You can leave the on screen minimized at the bottom if you need to toggle Scroll Lock on and Off.
So there is a solution that does not include finding an external keyboard. But HP, this can't be a difficult thing to add to the bios, no? Like Alt + Fn Num Lock?

I have never seen that (scroll bar disappearing); it should always be there if a document length exceeds the current view.
What is your operating system? Are these local or online documents? If online, in what browser?
P.S. this is how my Reader 11.0.2 on Windows 7 looks when I open any PDF document

I had a EP system witch sp15,and I deploy a sap new forums,but recently I found when I post a new thread,I can't find the" rich text" button and the "plain text"button and the "preview"button,the bold,italics,underline function is invalidate,and I find the IE page has notice "the erroe on page" when my error occured.
eg:when I want to post a new thread,the post page of IE give me a notice "the error on page",I click the notice,find it said:"error:MultiSelector not defined" or "error:MCTabs not defined".
Who can help me?

I know this is an old thread but wanted to post the resolution that I found when I had this problem.
Basically the problem is because the Quicklink is not set properly.
I had to make sure that the Page Quicklink property was set to 'forums'.
I also had to make sure that the Email Settings in the Admin Console had the following property:
'URL for your installation:' had to be set to http://myportalserver.50800/forums.
Hope that helps someone who has the issue sometime.

May I ask why you want to change the paragraph direction, are you doing a middle eastern or similar language.

iTunes, you must Update or Restore the Firmware to iOS 5.1.1 the first time (to system 5) with iTunes. After that you can update via the Air.

In iTunes you use the Authorize This Computer or De-authorize This Computer option under the Store menu in iTunes' menubar. For Windows use the ALT-S keys to access it. Or turn on Windows 7 and 8 iTunes menus: iTunes- Turning on iTunes menus in Windows 8 and 7.

First time user: I can't find the favorites tab/button with my imported favs

Downloaded firefox today. I imported my favorites from internet explorer 9. I can't find my favorites. Is there a button/tab/list that I'm not seeing? I want to be able to go to a list of favorite sites as I did in e9 and not type in a website every time I want to go there.
Is this what bookmarks are for? I'm not very computer savvy.

You can usually find the imported IE Favorites in a folder ("From Internet Explorer") at the bottom of the Bookmarks Menu folder (Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks).
If you can't find them in the "From Internet Explorer" folder then try this:
* Export the favorites in IE to an HTML file (bookmarks.html): File > Import and Export
* Import the HTML file in Firefox: Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks > Import & Backup > Import HTML: From File

I can't find the New Tab button to place on the Toolbar. It is not in the customize the toolbar box. Where did it go?

New Tab Button can't be found.

You can find the New Tab button showing as a '+' on the Tab bar. 
You can open the Customize window and drag the New Tab button from the Tab bar on another toolbar and it will become a regular toolbar button like the New Tab button that you have in Firefox 3 versions. 
If you want the New Tab button at the far right end of the Tab bar then place a flexible to the left of it.

I have connected my iPhone 5 to my Apple TV, but now I can't find the airplay button anywhere. It only shows the music then the volume sign but not the icon. Any ideas what to do!

Welcome to the Apple Community.
Try restarting the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds, or resetting it using the reset option under general. You should also try restarting your router and other devices.

How can I reassign the scroll wheel button?

Hello Apple family,
I recently bought a new mouse (Steelseries Kinzu Optical).
So far it works really well, provided you use the "exactmouse" tool by steelseries, which disables the mouse
acceleration in macosx.
I only have one question:
I use 3d render software, in which I often used the scrollwheel button to orb around the space.
Problem:
Now when I click the scrollwheel button, Mission Control appears.
And I cant seem to find any preference options to change that.
What I want is to use the scroll wheel button (or midde button?) to
behave just like a normal button that is recognized by various software
as a normal button and not as a button that triggers "mission control".
Now, I've certainly tried various software solutions, such as USB overload, Steermouse etc. etc.
Almost all of them would allow me to reassign the button in various ways, but still in every and each case
the "mission control" windows would pop up.

Mac Os X 10.7.1
Macbook Air i5 2011
Kinzu Optical Mouse by Steelseries

I'm only using the standard Apple mouse but the setting for Mission Control may need checking on your machine?

Where can I find the default lock screen background / 10.3.1

this might be a silly question, I'd love to use the default lock screen background that came with 10.3.1 (the one below) as my main background as well, but I can't find it on my phone.
Does anyone know where it is stored? (not in 'protected_media/wallpapers', apparently :-( )

That's your carrier default wallpaper, you can get it by going to options, display, then click on the advanced button, which looks like an equaliser and then click 'reset to carrier wallpaper'.

I have not been able to get to the Firefox Sync setup page. I can't find the right Firefox button to push. A number of buttons and Can't see "Set Up Sync"

I have tried to find the page where I can click on the Firefox button and get to the "Set Up Sync" page. I have tried every Firefox home page and web page I can find and there is no button that gets me to the "Set Up Sync" page. Please help me. I just want to set up the Sync page on a number of computers I own.

Forgotten sync password and can't find the "forgot password" button/link in option-sync tab.

Mozilla firefox help database instructed us to access option-sync tab as follow to reset password
1. Click the menu button New Fx Menu and choose Options.
2. On the Sync tab, click Sign in to open the Sign in page.
3. On the Sign in page, click Forgot password? Firefox will send you a reset email.
4. Follow the instructions in your reset email to change your password.
but in my firefox 36.0.4 there isn't any Sign in link, just Manage firefox account link. Clicked Manage to open manage account page, still can't find "Forgot password" link as stated above. So how do we reset password to sync? Please advise anyone.
