If the computer's running Mac OS X, move the cursor to the very top of the computer's screen, click on Store, and choose Authorize this Computer.
If the computer's running Windows, press the Alt and S keys and choose Authorize this Computer, or click here, follow the instructions, click on Store in the menu bar, and choose Authorize this Computer.

Some menu entries in the main menu bar are hidden if you use the mouse and only appear if you use the keyboard to open the menu (Bug 626825).
You can see the difference if you use Alt+F to open the File menu or other menus like the Edit menu (Alt+E) and compare that to what you see if you use the mouse to open the menu after you have made the menu bar visible by tapping Alt or by pressing F10.
* "Bookmark All Tabs" (Shift+Ctrl+D) no longer shows in the Bookmarks menu unless you open the Bookmarks menu via the keyboard (Alt + B).

I need to export my bookmarks to Safari. I can't find the "Organize bookmarks" tab that has the export feature. Help?

I was trying to export my bookmarks to Safari and the instructions were to: Go to Bookmarks - select "Organize bookmarks" and "export to HTML". I can't find the "Organize bookmarks" tab on my tabs bar.
This came about because Firefox would not let me access my On Star account (kept getting error messages about a mis-direct).

Menu changes (wording), "Organize Bookmarks" under the Bookmarks menu has been changed to "Show All Bookmarks -- Ctrl+Shift+B" with the same keyboard shortcut. They didn't like the new wording either and it is expected to be changed in a later version (but no further changes seen yet in betas).
I always use the keyboard shortcuts anyway.

I can't find the List All Tabs button that's supposed to be at the top to yourright

I'm trying to install the Tab Groups that you recommended. But I simply can't find the List All Tabs button that was supposed to be at the top right. it just says open all bookmarks. I've read through all the instructions and I can't find the button, so I can't continue. Is there a Tab Groups apps that I need to download first?? I've tried searching for that too, but there seems to be none. Please get back to me :) -Christine

On the tabs toolbar the '''List all tabs drop-down is almost invisible''' especially if you have "Tabs on Top" until you pass the cursor over it -- even with the cursor on top of it it is still hard to see.
The '''List All Tabs button''' is just a drop-drop down arrow when all the tabs bar, if you don't see it -- look in Customize (View>Toolbars>Customize), and drag the "List All Tabs" button up to the right hand end of the tabs bar.
You can put Tabs back to being just above the web page content at the bottom of the toolbars with View > Toolbars > (uncheck) Tabs on Top and the button will show up better on a lighter background.
You can use a Style to make the button more visible with a larger drop-down arrow and a background color.
If you don't already have the "Stylish" Extension (258.0 KB), first install it. The extension is quite large, but the styles you install are very small, most consist of only a few lines of styling code.

I just downloaded the newest version of Itunes, I deauthorized all of my computers and now can't find the menu to authorize. It refers to a store menu that doesn't exist on the new software. My account allowed me to deauthorize, but has no option to authorize. I am completely confused with the new software, I just want to download my music to my new computer.

With iTunes 11 on PCs the drop-down menus are hidden by default - control-B should get the menus to show

I need to use the Script Browser function of Dir. 11.5.9. I am instructed to click Window, Script. Then select the Script Browser tab. But when I open the Script Window, I do not find a Script Browser tab. Can someone assist me?

Perhaps it's collapsed against the left hand side of your script window - can you drag it open from there?

As of Safari 5.1.7 there does not appear to be a way to view the time in the browser, but it is still possbile to find from the raw history file. Open /Users/[yourusername]/library/Safari/History.plist in a text editor. Depending on how your text editor reads the file, you may see a lot of garbled text, but you should still be able to find the URL that you want the time for. After the URL you may see the page's title, but should also see a left square bracket followed by numbers.
Example:

The integer is an Apple timestamp (number of seconds since 00:00:00 UTC on 1 January 2001). Find a timestamp calculator online to get the actual time for your timestamp. In the example above, Apple was visited on Dec 21 2012 at 17:35:04 PST.

I can not find the display preferences tab to turn on video mirroring. Any suggestions?

I'm trying to get my Macbook Pro to stream to a Samsung Smart TV. I just came from the Apple Store and they told me I need to turn on Video Mirroring. I went to System Preferences/ Display but can't find Display Preferences or the box to check for Video Mirroring. The only tabs are for Gather Windows and Detect Displays. It does detect the Samsung TV but how do I turn on the Video Mirroring? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I am using Lion (if that means anything.)

Perhaps it would be best if you could post a screen shot of your original video. For example, open it in QT Player and hit command i. Take a screen shot of the image and the movie inspector.
All of the functions and their adjustments that used to be grouped in Geometry in previous versions of Compressor are now located in the integrated video pane of the Inspector.

Where can I find advanced keyboard shortcuts?

The "Shift" + "Right Click" is a shortcut to the Tools pallete, which is not listed in LabVIEWS help. Are there more shortcuts like this that are not listed in LabVIEW? If so, where would they be documented?

The LabVIEW 7.0 Help contains a more complete list of keyboard shortcuts in LabVIEW. This same list also is located in the LabVIEW Quick Reference Card shipped with LabVIEW 7.0. If you don't have LabVIEW 7.0, you can access the card on our site: LabVIEW Quick Reference Card

HT1420 I can't see where the "Authorize My Computer" option is in the store menu.

Greetings everyone,
So, I have a little problem. I need to authorize my computer to download all my purchases songs from the Icould. However, an article I read on Itunes.com said that all I have to do is go to the Store menu and choose "Authorize My Computer" and then I can easily and seamlessly authorize my computer to download my songs. However, I do not see an "Authorize My Computer" tab anywhere in the Store Menu area for Itunes!!! ha! Am I not looking in the right place, or did Itunes just make it more complicated than that?

Can't find advanced email settings. I know where to go, but it's not there.

I'm trying to set my boss's phone up to leave a copy of messages on the server. I easily did this on his laptop. When I go into Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Mobile Me (on accounts page)>Account, there's not an advanced option. The only things I see once I enter the account are the Apple ID, the password, and the description. Is there a setting to hide the advanced settings? I've followed what I read on forums, and they all point me to the spot I'm at, but the option that's SUPPOSED to be there is not. Help?

Pop accounts download mail from the server to the client, optionally you can elect to leave mail in the inbox when it is downloaded but it is no longer connected to the original.
iMap synchronizes with the server, so it's a copy of the server, this makes it ideal for use with multiple clients. You don't have to 'leave' anything on the server, if it's in the client it's on the server (assuming it has not been moved to a local folder).
That's the same on a PC, a Mac, an iPhone or any other iMap client.
The way you are setting it up will allow the server, the mac & the phone to all have different mail in their inbox, if that is what he wants then go for it.

I can not find my book marks tab/tool bar whatever you want to call it and nor can I find the view tab either.

Some how my daughter got on the computer and either hide or deleted my bookmarks all together. I have looked through your support questions and now I find that I can not even find the view tab or button what ever you want to call it. Please help I need to find these ASAP.

In Firefox 3.6 and later on Windows you can hide the "Menu Bar" via "View > Toolbars" or via the right-click context menu on a toolbar.
Press F10 or press and hold the Alt key down to bring up the "Menu Bar" temporarily.
Go to "View > Toolbars" or right-click the "Menu Bar" or press Alt+V T to select which toolbars to show or hide (click on an entry to toggle the state).

Can't find Lion under Downloaded tab on App Store

I have downloaded Lion last year and installed it... suddenly i didn't know that the installer self-deleted itself after the Lion installation was complete...
Now i want to create a usb bootable disk to clean install it into my iMac but i cant find the installer...
my question is, do i need to create a bootable usb or the Lion installer is available when i want to re-install it ?
