I can't get 10.5.3 to download pass 5MB, why's that

I've tried many times, and still cant get version 10.5.3 to download pass 5MB (9.10MB) why's stopping it from completing this task?

Since the combo DL is over 500 MB, I would suspect your ISP is the problem. Some ISPs cap DLs, others simply time limit large DLs thinking that they might be P2P transfers. You might ask your ISP about this, or see if they have any error logs for your IP address.
AFAIK, there is nothing wrong with the Apple server. I have DLd the combo without a problem, and have also DLs the machine-specific updates for my other two computers, all without incident.

You've tried deleting and redownloading them and seeing if they then work and tried contacting the developers ? If you have and they can't/won't help then try the 'report a problem' page to contact iTunes Support : http://reportaproblem.apple.com

Download AA 9 Pro from http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-downloads.html. Make a new backup for your archive. You might also take the DVD to your library to see if it is a drive problem. You might also carefully clean the DVD with water and soap (do not use anything that would scratch the surface or you have destroyed it for sure) and see if that solves the problem. This is particularly an issue if you have finger prints or other crud on the DVD. However, it could also be a bad drive as I mentioned. Hopefully the download solves your problem in any case (I would backup the download to CD and/or backup HD).

On computer go into iTunes store, in the Quicklinks section click on purchased, go to music not on this computer and you should find all music still in the cloud.
On phone open music, choose store at top of screen, then choose the More option at bottom of next screen, look in downloads where anything waiting to download should be. If nothing there go to Purchased, click on Music, Not on this Phone and you should see any iTunes music you have bought that is not downloaded to the phone.

This sounds like a known issue reported here:

There was a workaround posted, but I've not tested it myself. Here are the steps.
# Go into Yahoo Messenger Options - Change the Window in the dropdown to Tab and press OK.
# Then go back and switch it to small window and press OK.
Once the bug is officially resolved, you could try running a Nightly or Aurora build to use the fix early.

Thanks for the flag J.K. - they contaced me and solved my problem. On this account (which I created just to ask this question), I log in with my email rather than my user name (mtalldud). On the account that I was having trouble with, they told me to use my user ID instead of my email to log in and it worked. This is a bit confusing and seems a bit inconsistent but at least I don't need this temporary account any more to get into this community and find answers!
