Please use the flash player uninstaller utility and remove any instance of flash player.

2009 MacBook Pro eh? It looks like your hard drive has failed. Three years is pretty standard. Often, then only hint you have is catastrophic failure.
If you put the old hard drive into an external enclosure or similar device, you may still be able to migrate your data from it. Just because it won't boot doesn't mean you can't still read from it. Still, I wouldn't keep trying it. As long as you are buying a new hard drive, may as well get sometime to use with Time Machine too. -
How can I get my iPod touch to download and install updates to apps?
I am having difficulties with getting updates for my apps to download and install. When requested, I supply my password for my apple ID, and select "update". It immediately jumps to the screen with my icon, and then gives me a status bar and says "waiting" for an unending amount of time.
I have tried power cycling our wireless router and modem, power cycling the iPod, deleting the apps from all locations then syncing the iPod, and reinstalling the apps.
Nothing I try seems to get me out of this never ending cycle of inability to download and install updates.
Any ideas?How are you accessing the mail on the laptop? If you are using a mail client, Outlook, etc, then the mail is being downloaded to the laptop.
If you want to read them on the iPod, then in the account on the iPod, make sure that you turn off delete from server, then after looking at them on the iPod, delete the messages. You will then be able to pick them up on the laptop. Or, as Illaass said, read them with a web client. -
Have tried numerous attempts to download, update, and install after restart after restart and nothing happens. Just restarts without updates. Frustrating!

If you are using iOS 4 (or earlier) there is no Software Update in Settings. That feature was first added in iOS 5.
To update you will have to connect your iPad to iTunes on a computer (preferably the one you sync with and backup to).

You don't need a serial number to install LabVIEW.
Registration is optional.
Activation is needed after the evaluation period.
Install it without number and it will work for a limited time (30days?) in evaluation mode, giving you plenty of time to decide if you want to buy it.
Check the license manager to see the activation status of everything installed.

It sounds like you are tapping the Game Center app to open it, but the screen is blank. I recommend signing out of your account:
Go to Settings > Game Center, where you can:
Sign out (tap your Apple ID)

I have tried several times to install iTunes update 11.1.4 on my PC. I get a message saying that install was not successful and an error message of MSVCR80.dll not present, Error 7, (Windows error 126). I am told to reinstall iTunes, but nothing changes. What next? I've not had this problem with other updates requested by Apple.
I have also had the same problem with my Win 7 32 bit computer. I had great help from Apple techs in Montreal and Orlando for 2.5 hours. They helped me remove every trace of Apple products and clean the registry in two different ways. Each install gave the same problem! If Apple techs can't fix it (on some of our machines) then we are really in trouble. They promised to raise it with the "engineers" and get back to me with a solution. I am waiting and hoping. Otherwise maybe version 11.1.5 will have a fix ??

Any ideas how to get my software updated on my IPOD 3rd Generation when my computer times out? I have tried several times and it appears to take 30 plus hours. How Frustrating, not to mention the kids are too!
If the iTunes purchases are not in your iTunes library you can redownload them by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
If you restore from backup, not that synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup and thus if those items are not in the iTunes library they can't be restored to the iPod during the latter part of the restore process. -

You need to install Office on the computer from the installer DVD or disc image you purchased.

That suggests that another application has stashed old QuickTime componentry in your system files.
So just in case we'll go looking for older QuickTime componentry in the most common locations for it to be stashed.
First we'll need to change some view settings.
In your Start menu, open Computer.
In your Organise menu, select Folder Options.
In the View tab, make sure that "Show hidden files and folders" is selected, and Hide extensions for known file types is unchecked.
Click OK.
Now in Computer, open your C:\ drive (or whichever drive you have your operating system installed on).
Open the "Windows" folder.
If you have a 32-bit version of Windows, open the "System32" folder.
If you have a 64-bit version of Windows, open the "SysWOW64" folder.
What files and folders can you see in there with QuickTime in the title? (In a standard installation of Quicktime you should be seeing precisely two files... QuickTime.qts and QuickTimeVR.qtx ... and no QuickTime folders whatsoever.) -
I have tried several times to open iTunes. First I get a message that says that it's encountered a problem and then it said that it needs to close. It also says that windows will notify me of a solution. I've even tried uninstalling it as well as installing it again even downloading it again and still no luck. Any suggestions?

I've had my black 5Gb Zen Micro over 2 years, used nearly daily and zero problems.
I bought a red 8Gb Zen MicroPhoto last summer, for the car. Again, plugged it in, loaded a bunch of music, never looked back. Another daily player, and all it's done is play music flawlessly.
I also bought a silver 52Mb MuVo TX FM last summer for outdoor stuff and it did have one problem around December, but re-loading the firmware took maybe 5 minutes and it's been perfect ever since.
At least in my experience, Creative players have been trouble free and good value.
My brother got an iPod Shuffle given to him for a Christmas present and it locked up the first day. He ended up selling it and buying a Gb Zen Nano Plus. -

Hi, I just recently burned one of my personal CD's onto my itunes so I could sync it to my ipod touch. After the CD was done burning, I dragged the music over to the ipod so it could sync, but nothing happened. I have tried several times and even with other music and none of my music will sync onto my ipod. Can somebody please help me with this?
