Help! Suddenly I have no sound on my iPad mini. My control panel says the mute is off. Volume buttons don't work. I have sound when I check notification sounds. Nothing when I try to listen to Songza. What is going on???

Make sure that your Apple ID is your email address and you do not have any other or old IDs associated with you. Go to www.appleid.apple.com and confirm this info. Make sure that the email address you are trying to sign up with is your primary one.

I created an Apple ID on my iPhone, but I can not download any application because a message appears saying that iTunes store can not login. The strange thing is that my Apple ID works perfectly when I try to access my icloud browser on my iMac and even I join this forum. I login with my ID system icloud without problems! Why can not I download applications? What relationship has between iTunes store and iCloud?
You cannot download the same Apps that you have on your iPhone. They are two seperate stores.
The store you have on your iPhone is the same for any iDevice (iPad, iPhone and iPod)
The store on your MacBook is only for Macs. -
My touchscreen on my 4s isn't working. I can't "slide to unlock" and when I try to turn my phone off I can't "slide to turn off". HELP!!
I am making the assumption - based on the "tags" in your description - that you do not have sounds in apps, games and things like that - but you can hear sound when you use the music app. ......
If you lose sounds for keyboard clicks, games or other apps, email notifications and other notifications, system sounds have been muted.
System sounds can be muted and controlled two different ways. The screen lock rotation can be controlled in the same manner as well.
Settings>General>Use Side Switch to: Mute System sounds. If this option is selected, the switch on the side of the iPad above the volume rocker will mute system sounds.
If you choose Lock Screen Rotation, then the switch locks the screen. If the screen is locked, you will see a lock icon in the upper right corner next to the battery indicator gauge.
If you have the side switch set to lock screen rotation then the system sound control is in the task bar. Double tap the home button and in the task bar at the bottom, swipe all the way to the right. The speaker icon is all the way to the left. Tap on it and system sounds will return.
If you have the side switch set to mute system sounds, then the screen lock rotation can be accessed via the task bar in the same manner as described above.

You would have to add the language pack from the CC Desktop Panel. But first, let's be sure if it is an option in Photoshop Preferences. If it is change to English and Restart Photoshop.
If not, exit Photoshop and install English.

In this example, Simplified Chinese is chosen, but no matter the language, you will see an Install button underneath Find New Apps. When the Install is finished,
open Photoshop and it should be in the UI language list you see in the first screenshot. -
I had to restore my computer to a previous restore point. When I tried opening firefox 4.0, nothing happened. Frustrated, I tried removing the program, but ran into the same problem: nothing happened. I went to Processes in Windows Task Manager, and firefox.exe was not running. Tried using the suggestions to create another profile, and entering the command into run brought up an error saying that firefox has crashed.
OK - undo the changes you made to DEP.

I've tried the troubleshooting things that I've seen, but it still doesn't work. The wifi notification on top says that I'm connected, but I can't get to any websites.
Help!!The wifi symbol only indicates the presence of a wifi signal, not that you are connected.
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app

• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

I reinstalled the mac os and when I open the app utility, it shows that I have these three apps ready for download. I sign in with my apple id, but the dowload is blocked because it says that they have been assigned to another apple id. This probable refers to the previous owner. Apple support (phone) stated that after the reinstall, the apps should be available to me. Any ideas anyone?
It certainally is a mess. The other previous owners Apple ID is associate with the Mac, and best buy just reboxed it without checking anything apparently. I would call them and complain and see what they say. Also, call AppleCare and tell them you recieved incorrect information last time you called. They have a record of the last time you called and why. They need to help you. This is not your fault.

However, you only can download the current version of app.
- For apps your only way is if you have the version that was compatible on your computer such as in the recycle bin/trash or in a computer file backup. In that case delete the current version that is in your iTunes App library and replace it with the older version. Then sync. -

I have an Ipad 2 and have about 20 apps that will not update, How can I delete these?
I have some apps that will not update on my IPad 2. They say they are installing, but Installing is grey..not black, and they have been like this for several weeks. I cannot find out how to finish the updates or delete them. Can someone suggest a solution? Thanks, Ann
You can only delete them one at a time on the iPad. If you have an IMAP email account, go to your email in on the server using a web browser and select as many as you can at a time and delete them that way. That action will be reflected on the iPad. In IMAP - whatever you do on one device syncs across all devices. If you have POP email - start deleting one at a time.

Since installing Yosemite I keep getting a prompt to install Java even when I am not surfing the net. Went system preferences and I have recommended version installed. I want to know how to stop the prompts. I do not have this problem on my iMac.
Most likely, you have either the Facebook video calling plugin or the "NexDef" plugin for watching baseball streams. Both depend on the Java runtime distributed by Apple. If you no longer need the plugin, remove it. Otherwise, install Java.

De-authorizing Computers (contributed by user John Galt)
You can de-authorize individual computers, but only by using those computers. The only other option is to "de-authorize all" from your iTunes account.
1. Open iTunes on a computer
2. From the Store menu, select "View my Account..."
3. Sign in with your Apple ID and password.
4. Under "Computer Authorizations" select "De-authorize All".
5. Authorize each computer you still have, as you may require.
You may only do this once per year.
After you "de-authorize all" your authorized computers, re-authorize each one as required.
If you have de-authorized all computers and need to do it again, but your year has not elapsed, then contact: Apple - Support - iTunes - Contact Us.
