I can't get any video chats started anymore
The video chats used to work, and all the people I chat with have Macs, but the chats don't work anymore. I get this error message:

Can't get any video playback in program or source monitor after updating premiere
I'm having a problem I hope someone might be able to shed some light on. I just updated my premiere pro cc to v8.2 Everything Worked fine before I updated. Now I can't get any video to play back. I can hear the audio in my timeline but the video does not show up. When I export though everything is fine and the video is there. So basically I cant get any video to play in my program monitor or my source monitor.
Please double-check that the same sequence that's open in the current Timeline is also loaded in Program Monitor. We recently discovered a bug that resulted in the Program Monitor having a different sequence loaded than the active Timeline. The scenario in which this occurs is as follows:
Open two sequences (or more) in the same panel, say Seq_A and Seq_B.
Set focus on Seq_B.
Maximize the Project Panel.
Double-click Seq_A in the Project Panel.
At this point, the Project Panel reverts to its normal size and the Program Monitor loads Seq_A, but Seq_B remains in front of Seq_A. This disconnect persists if you set focus on the Seq_B Timeline; when Seq_B is played with things in this state, you will hear that sequence's audio, but the Program Monitor will remain static.
This is not likely to explain your situation, but it's worth ruling out before pursuing further troubleshooting. -

Can't get any video driver working (X-Server)
Hi everybody (and thx for reading this),
I'm about to install Arch Linux 64 Bit on a new machine, an Acer Aspire 8935G. I installed Arch Linux on several plattforms over the last months with help from the brilliant Wiki-Guide. Unfortunatley I can't figure out how to get the X-Server running this time, so I need a little (???) help here to point me in the right direction.
System is up and running. Graphic Card is a ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4670 (and an Mobile Intel GM45). What I did so far was installing the radeonhd driver first (and later others, because radeonhd wouldn't work) and configure X with:

Playing around with vesa, intel and fbdev didn't bring me any further. Vesa and Intel led to a black screen without responding keys (hard reset is necessary every time) and FBDEV led to a error message:

Maybe it's an issue with the integrated full hd monitor, because of the DDC-Message, but googling around didn't help for the moment. The hardware works with Linux, Mandriva 32-bit-Image ran out of the box with X-Server and KDE 4.2. But I would prefer an Installation of Arch Linux with the software, I really need and want.
I will try to add the xorg.conf later on as I'm writing this on an other machine.

Yes, I know. I also tried to get it working without an preconfigured xorg.conf. You know it... yeah... results in a black screen ;-).

Yesterday, I experimented with the Intel driver, because I found out that Mandriva also uses them, not fglrx like I thought. First I tried the xf86-video-intel. Have given me the typical X-Server feeling at start, probing the monitor I guess, than the backlight of the screen is on but the screen itself stays black. Fells like it's working, just the monitor is not respondig. Tried 1001 different screen settings, but the problem can't get solved. The same phenomenon can be experienced when usen the latest Intel-Git-Drivers from AUR. Last message of Xorg was: Setting up DRM Master or something like that. I will go and check it tonight again and report back.

Can't get any videos into itunes
I have a few that were already there, but I have some new shows I have converted to Mp4 and I can't get them to import into iTunes. Any idea why they won't import?
JasonI'm having the same problem. I've got 2 test videos: 1 from handbrake using the iPhone settings and the other is a quick movie recorded in iMovie and exported to iPod.
When I try to drag them into iTunes the cursor changed to the green "+" but nothing happens. I've also tried going through File>Add to Library... with similar the same lack of result.
iTunes is 7.4.2 freshly re-installed.

New Ipod 60gig...can't get any video's on it
I just bought a new Ipod 60 gig last night, under the assumption that i could play video's on it.
In Itunes when I right click and go to my Ipod Options, I can sync up songs, pictures, but ALL the options under Video are greyed out.
If I drag a Video from the Video's part of Itunes it doesn't do anything either...I'm kind of new to this, so its probably something simple, but I can't figure it out.
How do I transfer my video files to this?The video part is grayed out because you have your iPod set to "Manually manage music" (in iTunes, under Preferences -> iPod -> Music). If you want to manually manage your music, you have to manually manage your videos as well (hint: drag and drop like you do with music).
Now, if you've tried dragging a video as you say, then that video isn't in the correct format for the iPod. The iPod only plays 2 kinds of video: MPEG-4 and H.264. Each format has its own maximum settings that the iPod will accept.
If you're using iTunes 6.0.2, the easiest thing to do is right-click on the video in iTunes and select "Convert selection for iPod". Then, after it's done, drag the newly-converted file onto your iPod. -
Can't get any video from iphoto to sync with itouch
I have many videos in iPhoto, all imported from a camera. I wanted to sync these videos to my iTouch, but when I use the "include video" option in the iTunes photo sync, none of the videos came up or was synced. How do I do it?
I am really frustrated with this "exclusive" thing with Apple.
Its not a matter of exclusivity and its not just with Apple. Its a matter of a device with a highly streamlined OS that cannot accommodate every format without expanding to be the size of a full-size computer with a full size OS. In addition, some formats "belong" to another company. Meaning that company owns the right to that format. So while you may have a file in that format, it actually belongs to another company (Sony, Microsoft, Panasonic, etc.) so Apple would have to pay royalties to that company so that it can have "permission" to even open that file type.

If you are running Mac OS X 10.6.7:
Once you have the video on your desktop, right + Click or ctrl + click on the file and choose open with > Quicktime Player X.
Then go to Share > iTunes and choose the iPad size. This will convert the file on the fly to the correct format for iPad.
Sync the desired movie to iPad.

When you say "died" you mean there is no video output?
Does your Mac pass POST? (makes chime noise on boot), and does the Capslock key LED go green if you press it? If not, then you may have a power related issue, not video.
Also, what model do you have (year/processor/GPU)

Ok, I'm ready to send my iPod back!
This week I updated to iTunes 7 & version 1.2 on the iPod.
After the updates, I couldn't sync my library, all my files disappeared.
I tried resetting, & restoring & reinstalling iTunes 7.
Finally, last night I uninstalled iTunes 7 & intalled iTunes 6 again. Now I can copy all my music.
BUT.....My music videos show as copied, but are not on my iPod anywhere. Even the ones I purchased from iTunes.
I did not change the update on the iPod itself (still version 1.2).
Anyone have an idea why I can't get any video. The whole point of me buying an iPod was to play my videos!
Also, does anyone hnow how I can get my old iPod software back on my iPod?
Thanks.The most important information that is needed to begin to help you solve you problem is this - What conversion software are you using and what are your source video's format before conversion? The no sound issue sounds like you are trying to convert an MPEG (Muxed file) using the ITunes converter, but this is only an assumption on my part without having an answer from you. Please fill in the missing information and lets see if we can get you filling up your IPOD with videos.

I have replaced my ibook hard drive but when I start up I get a folder with a flashing question mark. I have tried installing the OSX disk using the "C" key but can't get any further than the flashing "?." What do I do? What is the problem?

Which version of the OS is installed, and which version are you trying to install?
You could try starting up with Startup Manager and see if it will allow you to select the OS X install disc as the startup disk. If so, maybe you can proceed from there. I would recommend repairing the hard drive first since you are evidently having a bit of a problem with it. -

Open the file in Adobe Reader
Click on File menu - Print
In the Print Dialog box, select the Printer and then select Advanced button

I found a refurbished, rev B 1.8GHz with 128GB SSD. The price is $1449, compare to the new 2.13GHz that is $1699 (with student discount). The only difference between the two are the CPU speed and that the rev B doesn't comes with the Ethernet adapter
