I can't get Application Express and OBIEE to both work on my laptop

Hello,
I had just installed and configured OBIEE on my laptop where I had successfully installed Application Express 3.0. Both were working , however, I was having an issue creating a ODBC connection with the "SH" schema. Later I had realised this OBIEE problem was actually do to the fact that the password for "SH" had to be changed in SQLPlus so that it matched with what was in the sh connection pool. When that was corrected, I no longer could log into Application Express.
Right after I noticed that my Application Express login page was coming up "Page not found" I noticed that I could not start my "OracleXETNSListener" without stopping "OracleOraDb10g_home1TNSListener" and even when I did get "OracleXETNSListener" running I could not bring up the Application Express login page.
I just don't understand how changing the password to the schema "sh" for OBIEE had some how changed the network connection to the Application Express login page.
I hope I can find some brilliant networking guru to help me with this problem. I really would like both OBIEE and Application Express to be working on my laptop running Windows XE.

You probably have a conflict in ORACLE_HOME's or perhaps a conflict in the ports between your two HTTP servers. Does APEX work when all BIEE processes are stopped, including the other database? You might not want to have 2 databases on that machine as it's a huge waste of resources, so you might think about pointing BIEE at XE. You could install APEX in the 10g database, but then you have to make sure the App Server with BIEE contains mod_plsql (which it probably doesn't). If I had it to do from the beginning, I would install 11.1 and run APEX and BIEE out of the same DB. 11.1, like XE, can use the Embedded PL/SQL Gateway (EPG), plus it has APEX 3.x installed by default.

If you downloaded the iPad apps in iTunes on your computer, you have to sync them to the iPad. If you downloaded the Mac apps from the Mac App Store, they should open on the Mac, so I think we have to assume that you downloaded the apps for the iPad.
The apps that work on the iPad do not work on the Mac, and the Mac apps will not work on the iPad. The Mac and the iPad have different operating systems so you must purchase the apps for both the computer and the iPad.
If you did buy the iPad apps in iTunes on the Mac - sync them to the device.
Connect the iPad to the Mac and launch iTunes.
Click on the iPad name on the left side under devices.
Click on the Apps Tab on the right.
Click on all of the apps that you want to sync in the list
Click on the Sync Apps Heading.
Click on Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes

Satellite P200-1K8 - Can't get the display and sound drivers to work

Hi.
I'm getting desperate. I tried everything I could imagine.
First - don't get the catalyst control center to work, I only have the graphic driver installed now (tried both - the one from Toshiba and with Mobility Modder modified ATi driver - none works.
Second - when I install the sound driver the Realtek sound manager is encoutering the problem and must close every time at startup. And yes, I did update the BIOS to ver. 5.20, installed XPSP3, installed chipset driver (newest from Intel homepage or the one from Toshiba, no matter which, always same issue).
Please help. I don't want to spend rest of my life trying to get XP onto my laptop.

So I did check the BIOS version again and it is 5.40 indeed. Then I installed the updates from Microsoft that were downloaded when Iwas away. I think that was mistake. Errors, errors, malicious software (and there were only some codecs and players installed yet). So I reformated and reinstalled the Windows and drivers except audio driver.
According to MS (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/835221/en-us & http://support.microsoft.com/kb/888111/en-us) the patch KB888111 is the updated KB835221 and before installing it, the KB835221 should be uninstalled. So I tried to install the KB888111 only and got Error message: Setup has detected that the Service Pack version of this system is newer than the update you are applying. It seems that I don't need to install these patches since I have XPSP3.
So I installed the sound driver again and in Device manager everything seems to be OK. I only have this annoying message at every startup: Realtek Voice Manager encountered a problem and must close. What is this Voice manager anyway? And any other solution? I didn't install the camera yet. I think it won't work again.
Any new ideas?

I can't get Mozilla Drag and Drop Uploader to work. Suggestions for troubleshooting?

I have a recurring need to post 100's of photos from "My Pictures" to a web site. I currently click on "Browse", up pops the photo file, and I then must manually select the proper photos and double click them to move them to the web site.
A colleague who has the same recurring need has told me to download Firefox as my browser, then download and install the "Drag and Drop Uploader". By doing this, I should be able to simply highlight the proper photos from 'My Pictures" and drag them to the correct box on the web site.
I have seen him do this on his computer, so I know it is possible. I'm guessing the problem I am having lies in having downloaded incompatible versions.

I am talking about the Ver 3 download link that came with the purchase email.
That link is no longer available. Use "Migration Assistant" to copy your Applications from your old mac to the new Mac, then immediately run software update. Aperture Version 3.2 will not run on your new mac with Mavericks, you will have to Upgrade to version 3.4.5 at least - you can download this update from the Support page: Aperture 3.4.5
Then launch Aperture and enter your registration key and try now too update from version 3.4.5 to 3.5 from the AppStore. The AppStore will change your Aperture registration to an AppStore version, so you will able to reinstall by downloading from the AppSTore in future.
If you want transfer only Aperture and no other applications, do it manually: You will have to copy not only the application but folders from the libraries as well:
/Applications/Aperture.app
/Library/Application Support/Aperture/
~/Library/Application Support/Aperture/

Application Express and Content DB

Hello friends
I am trying to develop an application prototype with the following need
a. A set of data fields where by somebody can put a document into the content DB along with the set of data. The content DB needs to store different types of documents, - PDF, Excel, Word etc.
b. Be able to include rights,security management and records management
c. Have Menu based access to the data
I would like to use the Application Express for my front end development and Content DB as the back end data store. All of this in the Windows environment and on the Web.
I would much rather not use BPEL as I think it will complicate the development process for me and I do not have inhouse expertise on Java.
I have seen examples on Content DB where BPEL has been used to write to Content DB, but dont see any place which mentions that you could use Application Express with the Content DB.
Can any one who had done any such work help

Try deleting the problematic file (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iTunes store.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer.

What are the sizes & modification dates on the files you found?
Could be many things, we should start with this to be safe, though 2 different ones would seem unlikely to be this problem...

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward.

Everything else seems to be fine but can't get airport Express to communicate with My MAC. Green light on airport device. Just downloaded OX on Mac recently.

what I figure out from your question is that, you want to get the coordinates even if the mouse is not directly interacting with any of the java components of your application.
I would consider this as an interaction with the OS so that it sends a call to your java program as well when ever the mouse event occurs. If you use JNI to catch system events, I think it should work.

Actually, it is free to register at http://developer.apple.com/programs/register/ as a developer and download the SDK. The $99 fee only applies if you want to install your Apps on a real iOS device (instead of the simulator) or submit them for distribution on the AppStore.

I have to fetch the record_type from a lookup where I can have any of the record type, sometime USES, HOW TO USE, SIDE EFFECTS and sometimes some other set of record types
In my report I have to get these record typpes as field name dynamically whichever is available in that lookup and record values against them.
its a BI Publisher report.

and so you can create bip report
