I can't get beyond Creative Cloud Installer...can't download LR or PS.

I have the CC monthly subscription. I got Creative Cloud installer installed but can't download LR or PS. Creative Cloud shows up as a file in Applications. Acrobat is installed. I've been on hold for 3 hrs 9 min 54 seconds.  Please help!

Blue Cat I am sorry you are facing difficulties installing Lightroom and Photoshop.  Please see CC desktop lists applications as "Up to Date" when not installed - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/aam-lists-removed-apps-date.html for information on how to make Photoshop and Lightroom available for installation.

    Dear Adobe,
    Week before I get a notification from my creative cloud asking me to update my creative cloud, I having trouble updating it and a get error message but I can't recall the error message and it closed, after since then I can't launch my creative cloud app, once I launched creative cloud it closed automatically. Then I thought reinstall might help, so I uninstall creative cloud desktop app and reinstall it with adobe installer I downloaded from adobe website.

    I believe the message that you are getting is for your MAC password and not Adobe password. Have you tried entering your system password at the download screen ? Reason why this prompt comes up is because , the download file is trying to make the required changes on the machine so that the installation can proceed .

    You do not need to involve Creative Cloud to install/try the trial version of CS5...
    You can download the trial version of the software thru the page linked below and then use your current serial number to activate it.
    Be sure to follow the steps outlined in the Note: Very Important Instructions section on the download pages at this site and have cookies enabled in your browser or else the download will not work properly.

    Transferring applications between machines will not work.  You need to install using installations files.  Uninstall and Try using the CS Cleaner Tool before installing.

    Creative Cloud Installer gets half way through downloading the desktop app then just disappears, without downloading, why is that?
    I have recently purchased a student subscription to the 'complete package', my credit card was charged.  Then I download the Creative Cloud Installer from the website, that's fine, then I double click the Creative Cloud Installer as per instructions, it starts downloading the desktop app, but only gets to about halfway then just disappears. 
    I've tried using both safari and chrome, restarting my computer, but neither has worked.
    I have noticed that the website will not keep me logged in for long either, it keeps switching to BUY instead of DOWNLOAD. 
    Any ideas?
