I can't get Bryce 5.0 to install..Please Help!

I downloaded Bryce 5.0 for my son new class at school as requested by his teacher. But when I try to install it, the Disk Utility page pops open and I dont know what to do? Im not (obviously,lol) very apt at this, but this should have been a no-brainer, am I right? So why is it doing this and what should I do about it? Thanks a million in advance.

The personal hotspot is not an app or an icon; it is a setting. You must first have your carrier provision it, then you turn it on in settings. Most carriers charge extra for tethering.

That's Activation Lock. You will need to remember the Apple ID and password you used to set up the phone.
If you can't remember them, you can go to iforgot.apple.com to try to recover the information.
If you are the original owner of the phone & have proof of purchase, you can try calling Apple to see if they can assist also.

Can't get my table to sort. Please help

Can't seem to get my table to sort. That was a non-issue with the previous version of Numbers but now if I try to sort ascending by totals it just shuffles my numbers with no visible logic. Please help, this is such a simple task, shouldn't be so hard. I tried all suggestions on the forum and nothing works. This is a snapshot of the table:

Hi Dannie,
Sorting in Numbers 3 follows a different pattern from Numbers 2. Formulas do not automatically adjust.
When Numbers 3 was installled, it was placed in your Applications folder. Numbers 2 was moved to a subfolder called iWork '09 within your applications folder.
With your document open in Numbers 3, File > Export To > Numbers '09. Then use Numbers '09 (Numbers 2) to work on it.

The trick is to drag icons for both versions to your Dock. Right click or control click on each and Options > Keep in Dock. That puts you in charge of which version you launch.
Here is a screen shot of both Numbers icons on my Dock.
Numbers 2.3 (Numbers '09) on the left with a three column graph.
Numbers 3.2 on the right with a four column graph.
Both versions will run happily together. Just be sure which version is opening your document.
Instead of double clicking the document, run whichever version of Numbers/Pages/Keynote suits and use File > Open.

Continue reading the support document that you linked to the forum with. It gives you the instructions. To remove the passcode you have to restore the phone as new, then you can restore from your backup.

When you say "account," do you mean your iTunes library, because your iTunes library is what is on your computer? Your iTunes library does not have an email address. An account that is related to iTunes is your Apple ID (which is an email address) and you use it as your user name to sign in to the iTunes Store, to make purchases. Changing your Apple ID will not make songs disappear from your computer's iTunes library.
If you had an Apple ID and used it to make song purchases from the iTunes Store, and then started using a different Apple ID, you should be able to re-download the songs purchased with the old Apple ID. In iTunes, sign in to the iTunes Store using your OLD Apple ID (and password). That may not be your current email address, but Apple uses it as your user name, so it does not matter.
On the iTunes Store Home screen, click on Purchased under QUICK LINKS. This takes you do the Purchased screen, where you can re-download previous song purchases (for that Apple ID) at no cost.
NOTE: If those song purchases are from more than a few years ago, you may also need to authorize your computer to play (and sync) songs for your old Apple ID.
For songs that were not purchased from the iTunes Store, if they are also gone, you cannot get them back unless you have a backup (or they are still loaded on your old iPod).
If that's not what you mean by "changed the email address on my account," please post back with more details.

After updating to the ios5, my ipad keeps restoring when i plug it into itunes. I can't sync it or anything, and it has been restored about 20 times today and i can't get any further than that. Please help!

After updating to iOS 5 today, i was able to get my iphone working with virtually no problem. The issue i am having is that after i finished with my phone, i tryied to do the same with my ipad. Everytime it is plugged into itunes, it keeps saying it needs to restore over and over again. I have done this about 20 times today and have lost it. I can't sync anything with it, especially my music or calendars. Anyone know of a solution?

Recording audio can't get rid of fuz in background please help

so i have had my macpro for about 3 months i have been making hiphop songs flat out. my vocals have always been crystal clear im just using the inbuilt mic but yesterday i got a usb plug for my guitar i stuffed around playing guitar on gb for a few hours than i went back to finish one of my rap songs now wen i went to rcord my vocals there is like a fuz in the background it sounds so bad i cant even use it i have tried changing recording levels but it just wont go back to the quality it was before. i am really stuck and need an answer has anyone else had this problem i cant do anything until its sorted. thanks guys

the fan is designed to ramp up and down based on how hot the computer is running. so if you just used the computer for work that ramped up the CPU, it would be running hotter and the fan would kick in. once the computer cools off, it throttles down.

understood! it's understandably frustrating that you buy a computer only to learn you have to buy MORE STUFF! just to do what you bought the computer for. the thing is, the built in microphone isn't really designed for music. it's like a phone microphone - useful for its tasks, but not something you'd expect to get a good recording through.
while it's frustrating to encounter the need to buy more stuff, on the other hand, when you realize you have a studio in your computer more sophisticated in some ways than what the Beatles were using, and all you have to buy is a microphone and maybe an interface... overall, it's still not a bad deal!
if all you need is a better microphone, you could buy a USB mic which isn't much and plugs directly into the USB port of the computer:

Also, please understand, while what I'm saying about the fan kicking in when you run the computer, and the value of using an external microphone and/or interface is true, since I'm not actually where you are, checking out your computer setup, there's no way for me to tell 100% what's going on. if you are happy with what you were doing, and suddenly started getting distortion, there's always the remote possibility that it's something else. what i'm suggesting is only the likely culprit from having encountered this before!
Finally, to understand how computer-based recording works, while the computer is the heart of your studio, and a contemporary computer has a lot of components stuffed into it out of the gate, for professional results, it's really just the start! A pro computer-based studio can use interfaces, microphones, and other outboard gear that can quickly run into the thousands of dollars, and then add some more zeroes!

image as LONG RAW and staffid as string.
How can i make the select statement to get the actual size for each image?
I have try to do " Select dbms_lob.getLength(image) as actualsize,staffid from record " ,
but it get error "ORA-00997:illegal use of LONG datatype"

LONG RAW and BLOB are very different data types. Oracle has been suggesting for quite a while that folks migrate from LONG RAW to BLOB-- it's much easier to work with BLOB data than LONG RAW data...
How much data, roughly, do you have in these columns. If it's relatively small, you may be able to use UTL_RAW.LENGTH. If it's longer, though, I believe you have to write a program that reads all the data and calculates the length as you go, which is obviously not particularly efficient...

Icloud was not putting photo stream on my PC so I reinstalled Icloud... now I am getting my photo stream but I can no longer open contacts in outlook...when I go to the icloud control panel everything is grey except photo stream which is checked. How do I get my contacts to open?

Those songs aren't on your iPhone, they are in iCloud.
If you don't want to see what's stored in iCloud, Settings > Music > Show All Music > Off (white)

i did search in this forum how to publish to a folder.. but i couldn't understand how to upload my web site w/out hussle.
I don't have an internet connection on my mac so i save the website to a folder, put it on a pen drive and copy it to my pc. When i tryed to upload the folder to any free domain i could upload only 2 3 file at the time(in some case just one). It's gonna take forever! However i took my time be and upload each file but after i upload everything still i couldn't see the web site.. What i'm missing here?
I even try .mac but i couldn't upload the folder.
Work with iweb supposed to be simple right??

Make sure you keep everything in the same folder structure as iWeb makes it when you publish to a folder.
If you are trying .Mac - use the Windows iDisk Utility to mount your iDisk. Copy the whole published folder to the "Sites" folder on your iDisk.

One has to ask, if you are a dot mac member, wouldn't it make sense to have an internet connection on your Mac so you can access your iDisk, publish directly from iWeb, etc?

Can't get SMS off phone...please help!

I have a Nokia N93i (RM-156). I'm using the latest Nokia PC Suite's Communication Center, and for some reason it's not able to talk to the phone. It just says "Loading messages..." in the upper left for about 15 seconds, then it goes away and nothing happens. All the Message Folders just remain empty.
Also, when I try clicking on Contacts in the bottom left, I see the same thing, except that after 15 seconds an error message dialog box popus up with "Refreshing of contacts failed."
Other things - Store Images, browsing the file system in Windows Explorer, etc. - all work fine.
This all started after the PC Suite automatically pushed some new software onto my phone, including what I believe was new messaging software, but I'm not sure (I don't remember what the program names were; they were a bit cryptic). I just ran the Nokia Software Updater, but that made no difference (already up to date, v30.0.013).
Anyway, I really would like to get my SMS messages off my phone; any help would be tremendously appreciated!

Same for me. This is a terrible bug that Apple should've thought about before releasing iOS7. I knew I couldn't have been the only one locked out because the Greek keyboard disappeared.
