I can't get certain video podcasts to play properly in iTunes 11.2.1 for windows

I have the latest version of iTunes for Windows on two different Windows PC's the one is a new Tablet purchased this month. I installed iTunes onto it and authorized it. I subscribe to lots of podcast subscriptions some of which of video and some of which of audio. I have been having trouble with the CNET video Podcasts such as First Look, CarTech, and HowTo. When I try to play the podcasts the video becomes jerky and will not be synced with the audio. The video sometimes flickers and then the video portion will sometimes flicker and then black out completely. The pdocast will either finish playing in this state or I get a message saying "iTunes is out of memory or Windows tells me that the entire program has stopped working. I thought these errors were due to the underpowered processor and only having 2GB of RAM so I went back to my "Daily Driver" which is a Dell XPS 15" with 12GB of RAM and an Intel Core I7 processor. On the Dell computer this previous was not happening but now this one is starting to do it as well. Audio only poducasts play just fine as well as video podcasts from TWIT.TV such as Windows Weekly, Security Now, and iFIVE for the IPhone. I have updated to the latest windows drivers for the video and chipsets on each machine but to no avail. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Well, I guess those videos are not supported by the current version of iTunes.
I originally had iTunes set to "Open in 32-bit mode" so I could watch these videos. But apparently, since I upgraded iTunes (and OS X), that setting no longer enables those videos to play. When that selection was enabled (Open in 32-bit mode), I experienced the behavior above. Once I de-selected that setting, and re-opened iTunes to try the video again, I recieved a message that stated "This movie requires QuickTime, which is not supported by this version of iTunes."
So, I guess I am out of luck?
This is hard to believe.

You can't.
At this time the iPhone doesn't support Flash. There are some workarounds and if you search the forums you might be able to find some posts pertaining to your needs. If I watch anything it's YouTube stuff, so I'm afraid I can't be of much help.
You're not alone. People have lamented the lack of Flash playback since Day One and have informed Apple accordingly.

Welcome to the forum.
As Steve observes, what you are talking about is called "PiP," or Picture in Picture.
He has given you the basics of creating a "split-screen" PiP, and that should be exactly what you wish to do.
For more detail, plus more ways to do PiP, I strongly recommend his book, Cool Tricks & Hot Tips for Adobe Premiere Elements 11, from Muvipix. He has an entire chapter (Chapter 10) on PiP, and many of its uses, with detailed instructions on the settings to accomplish it. Just that one chapter is worth the price of the book.

Help! How can I get my video to show on my website?

I created an interactive book in InDesign CS5.5 and exported the .swf file to my desktop to include all the media (a video) and the interactive page turns. I generated an HTML page and according to this page, http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/827/cpsid_82754.html, there was supposed to be a 'Resources folder' with the video asset in there. However this folder was not created.
When I open the html page in my browser, everything works perfectly.
However, when I went to upoad the html and .swf files to my website, http://www.avantiandg.co.uk/ the last page with the video does not show.
My questions are:
1. How can I access the resources folder that is supposed to be created that I am supposed to upload to my website folder?
2. How can I get the video to load up correctly?

maybe a solution:
Videos contained in interactive files must be converted to M4V format before being imported to Indesign, AVI, H264 or MPG won't appear once the file exported to SWF.
In HTML the ressource folder is normally next to the root file of your site (index.html) no?

Download Zune and start it, when started connect your Lumia 900 and you can now transfer mediafiles from the Lumia to your PC through a USB connection. For Mac use the Mac connector.

Have you tried to force the Video app to quit and then relaunch?
If the issue affects only a single app, try closing just that app:
Press the Home button to return to the Home screen.
Double-tap the Home button to display recent apps.
Tap and hold the affected app until the red minus appears.
Tap the red minus to quit the app.
Press the Home button, then restart the app.
You can also try restarting the iPhone.

The only other thing I can suggest is to use the Repair option for iTunes.
Download the iTunes programme (do not uninstall your current iTunes) and then "install" the new copy. At some stage you should see an option to "install" or "Repair". Take the Repair option.
Once you've done that, if you still have a problem, I don't know what else to suggest, except to search through the discussions to see if anyone else has had the problem and managed to fix it.

• use different mime type (like .m4v instead of .mp4)
• use a QuickTime Media Link instead of direct link
• Feeds not done right
• Videos not encoded Properly
• What ever etc.
im avoiding the Professional Services ($1000 for a Thousand GB+$$$)
but what will make this work better?

Actually, my guess is that you just haven't enables "Fast Start" under the streaming setting when you encoded your movie with QT Pro (or Apple's Compressor if you're using FCP.)
Try this: Open your original (before compression) movie in QT. Choose Export>Movie to QuickTime Movie>Options
Then below the sound settings is a checkbox that says "Prepare for Internet Streaming". Check it and choose "Fast Start" from the drop-down.
This will allow your movie to begin playing as it downloads. I'll bet currently it is not enabled and iTunes is waiting until the ENTIRE movie is downloaded before it begins playback. This will make it feel like it's not going to play. Does iTunes give you a dialog window that says, "Loading..."?
I just checked with the help file and it says you can enable Fast Start on movies that are already in their compressed format by simply opening the movie in QT, and then choosing "Save As">"Save as a self-contained movie". Apparently when you do this it automatically flags the movie for streaming and saves you the trouble of re-compressing all of your posted episodes. Try it on one of the old episodes and then reload it to your server and test in iTunes!

When I open the download with the "Get Info"..it is described as a Podcast Capture Document...which is NOT how it was downloaded. It was downloaded as a PDF file. When I try to open the download in the "Open With" option I can not use any application except i photo, mail, textedit, i tunes and utilities...none of these options will open the download...which as I said was a PDF file when I originally downloaded it (it was a magazine). It appears that the download has been converted into a Podcast Capture Document....and I want that to stop..
Any ideas how to keep this happening to future downloads??? If I can figure out how to stop this conversion (from PDF to Podcast) I'll be happy, because I can just down load the magazine again.

Can't get any video playback in program or source monitor after updating premiere

I'm having a problem I hope someone might be able to shed some light on. I just updated my premiere pro cc to v8.2 Everything Worked fine before I updated. Now I can't get any video to play back. I can hear the audio in my timeline but the video does not show up. When I export though everything is fine and the video is there. So basically I cant get any video to play in my program monitor or my source monitor.

Please double-check that the same sequence that's open in the current Timeline is also loaded in Program Monitor. We recently discovered a bug that resulted in the Program Monitor having a different sequence loaded than the active Timeline. The scenario in which this occurs is as follows:
Open two sequences (or more) in the same panel, say Seq_A and Seq_B.
Set focus on Seq_B.
Maximize the Project Panel.
Double-click Seq_A in the Project Panel.
At this point, the Project Panel reverts to its normal size and the Program Monitor loads Seq_A, but Seq_B remains in front of Seq_A. This disconnect persists if you set focus on the Seq_B Timeline; when Seq_B is played with things in this state, you will hear that sequence's audio, but the Program Monitor will remain static.
This is not likely to explain your situation, but it's worth ruling out before pursuing further troubleshooting.
