I can't get emails off the server

Ok, I know this has been discussed here before. But, just wondering if there is any NEW info on how to delete emails from the server. Yes, I have gone to advanced email settings and have selected the delete from server when removed from inbox option. But, still those emails are there so that when I check email on my laptop the same emails which I already read on my iPad pop up again. And, I have to delete them again from my laptop in order to remove them from the server. This is very annoying, especially since there is the option to remove emails from the server on the ipad settings, but apparently this option does NOT work.

After you read them on the ipad, are you deleting them?

I have the same problem. For years I have been able to delete emails from my ipad and have them remain on the server so I can deal with them on the desktop. Now they get deleted from the server when deleted from the ipad, which makes the ipad unless for reading mail.
You answered to delete the email account on the ipad and set up a new one as a pop. I have made many attempts to do that in the incomping mail server "Host Name" field but it always errors out even when the host name is equal to what my desk top has. So I can see no way to change away from IMAP. I started with an ipad 1 and now have an ipad 2.

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after the iPad shuts down, then press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds).

First, the G4 must be able to start to use FWTDM. If it can start, hold the t key at boot until you get a "screensaver pattern" that looks like this:
If the G4 is attached via a FireWire cable to a newer Mac with a FireWire port, the G4's hard drive will appear on the other Mac's desktop just as if it were any external drive. A USB cable won't work for FWTDM.

No. ATA (actually "PATA" or "IDE") and SATA are different interfaces. PATA external enclosures are now very hard to find. You best and least expensive option is the adaptor that BDAqua linked. One of its connectors is for PATA drives.

Another problem is: When searching on the web via Google, normally it is possible to type a few letters and then look what appears and then click on the wanted word(s). A number of word(s) ineed do appear, however it is not possible to select any of them as ws possible as mentioned in olders versions.

Excel on imac - have trashed/deleted workbooks via finer but the frozen icon still appears on excel homepage. Can't get it off the page even though information comes up that it is in trash, and trash has been emptied. Grandma is screaming!

Who is your mail provider? It could just be a temporary issue. If you use Yahoo their service has been buggy and unreliable at best for the past few months as they 'upgrade'. Might just wait it out.
You could try force quitting the mail app. Double tap the home button. Scroll sideways if needed to get the mail icon on your screen. Flick the mail preview window up and off the screen then single tap the home button to exit the mode. THen try to download your mail again.

It would appear somebody needs to connect into your network and/or your client system(s), and to dig around.
So there are presently eight separate systems have eight separate cases of the same problem, and your email vendor says it is a client issue?
Ok; that would not be my first guess here.
An initial suspicion would involve hardware common to all of the client systems. At your network, wireless, router(s) or switch(es) and/or at your firewall. At the connection with your network and the rest of the Internet.
And a look at the email vendor and the vendor's server(s), since the vendor is also common to all eight clients here.
Has anyone been working with your DNS, firewall or other such? (I'm going to assume not, but it is worth a mention.)
Use of port 26 is odd. I'd expect port 25 or port 587. Can you confirm that port? Port 25 is comparatively unusual for sending email of late; many entities now use 587.
Are you running a local email server? If so, that could be having an issue. I'd expect to see a local SMTP email server connect to the next SMTP server via port 25 or potentially via 587.
Can the clients make connections to other networks and servers; are other web servers and sites accessible? If so, that tends to rule out the common pieces of hardware; hunks such as the firewall and the Internet connection.
There's no obvious translation of that specified error code; that's not an SMTP error, nor is it visible anywhere on the 'net. It may well be something from the client, or something from the network somewhere.
Here is Thunderbird troubleshooting information, which might give you some ideas of where to look here (even though you're probably using Mail.app):

The problem you have described is very irritating. I would be glad to look into this issue with you.
Do you have a HDMI cable to attach and remove to the device? If so please try that, then power the device off and remove and reinsert the Sim card. Does the error come back?

Can't get LIVEplay off the watch.

I know this sounds really stupid, but can someone tell me how to get this thing of the watch attachment????
I have the soild plastic back, so I cannot just simply pop it off. The instructions say to pry it off with your fingernail but, either a.) mine are too short or b.) it just does not want to come off.
I have tried prying if off by other means but it does not give easily and i do not what to break it.

I will be honest with you - it's quite hard to do this.
The correct way is to bend it off the wrist band. I used a paper clip (the rounded part, not the sharp) to bend it of. So my suggestion is that you do the same. Use something to bend it off, but be careful.

You can't sync or drag your non iTMS music back directly from an iPod to iTunes, the transfer of music is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there is a manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs back to iTunes on Windows posted in this thread: MacMuse - iPod to iTunes
If you prefer something more automated then there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod, this is just a selection. Have a look at the web pages and documentation for these, they are generally quite straightforward. As iTunes 7 is just out some of these may not work with it yet though I haven't experienced any problems with the Mac software I use.

Apple sends no such emails. You succumbed to a phishing scam, and your Apple ID and password have been stolen.
