I can't get firefox to open at all

for some reason i can't get firefox to load at all. it was working fine up until last night, and when i tried to open it today it wouldn't open, i don't get an error msg or anything. can someone please help me i need firefox to do my work online. thanks

FF just won't open when I click on it. In task manager, it shows up in background processes only. I am running windows 8.1 on a laptop. I have tried restarting the machine, I have (several times) tried to uninstall and reinstall FF. When I look in the support section, I keep running into help that is predicated on having a FF window open, which is not happening at all, so there is not help there. I can't get firefox to open at all. I can't get it open to do anything on the firefox window such as open it in the safe mode.

A small screen tells me firefox was shutdown and windows was looking for a solution. I deleted Firefox and downloaded another Firefox program and installed it. The same thing happened. What do I do. Windows said it could be a DEP problem. I have no idea what that is. I can open Windows Explorer and use but I don't really like it. Help!!!

The computer keeps telling me to reaboot and I keep doing that. I can't even take the program off my computer so I can redownload it. Keeps telling to to reboot. Please tell me what went wrong and if I will ever be able to use Firefox again.

If there are problems with updating then best is to download the full version and uninstall the currently installed version and delete the Firefox program folder to remove any leftover files.
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.

I can't get FireFox to open. It says it is running and I need to close the windows. But can't even get it to open to do anything. I have rebooted and cleaned the cache--nothing helps. It won't let me uninstall--says I have to close the windows that it is already running. I can't close anything when the page won't come up. No error messages. It acts totally normal but just never reopens when I try to reopen a new catalog. I create a catalog for each of my clients....I have done this since I started using lightroom as it seems tidy to me. But, I have never had this problem until now. Can't get Firefox to open maximized

Despite specifying in icon properties that I want Firefox to open a maximized window, it always opens as a normal window. Is there some setting somewhere that needs to be changed in order to get it to open maximized?

Make sure that the file has the .html file extension.
That should be sufficient.
Windows hides some file extensions by default.
Among them are .html and .ini and .js and .txt, so you may only see file name without file extension.
You can see the real file type (file extension) in the properties of the file via the right-click context menu in Windows Explorer.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

Do you have the latest FaceBook app version installed?
If so, try a reset which is similar to a computer restart and is done by pressing and holding the home button and the sleep/wake or on/off button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo and then release.
